Growing up my parents would listen to his albums all the time. Aunt Mary and Uncle Louie would come over every Saturday night, and Pat Cooper would be on the record player. He is so funny. This brings back so many memories of my childhood.

No I totally agree with you on that...ALOT of the Italian as well as Jewish Entertainers, in the early years did this, I guess because they didn't want to sound too ethnic...A shame indeed..

@jorenm because back in the day EVERYONE had to change their name or you couldn't work. Anything ethnic, whether it was Italian, Jewish, Russian, whatever; you wanted to perform, your americanized your name. Period end of story!

People picked a show biz name to reach a wider audience so they could make more money to bring home to their Italian family. It wasn't criminal, it just made sense at the bank. Lighten up paisano!
