How many bags can fit in the back becuse my mom needs a new SUV soon becuse my sister is going to be driveing soon and she is going to take my mom's 2004 Volvo XC90 and this thing is on my moms list that she wants to look but we have lots of bags that we being that me and my family go on long trips.
I cannot figure out if it uses regular or premium gas as GM's website is too picture intensive and hard to get info out of. Does anyone know what type of fuel it uses?
@uncleflaco Thanks very much. However, as hard as we try, we cannot get gas mileage better than 18 MPG. This is not very impressive, as far as I am concerned. Still, the car exceeds my expectations for city and highway driving (and I am a huge German and Japanese car fan). Well done GM. Now do the same for your other cars.
@vinsetta also remember this is a 5300 lb crossover. GM's vehicles need to go on a diet. I had a VUE that was 2 tons. I'm a GM guy but still have beefs. I love my SRX but it has it's quirks.
What a pile of junk, I love how America is still making these gas guzzlers... I love how all the new GM cars are trying to rip off Japanese cars. This car will break down 2 years later while a japanese car will continue to run forever...
Love it; if you want accerleration then get a CTS-V. The Lexus RX and Acure MDX are fugly; Japanese stuff is getting really odd with respec to design. This and the 2011 Lincoln MKX look much nicer than the foreign crossovers.
@ feduo45465: I believe you are referring to the GMC Terrain. SRX is completely Cadillac inside and out and the SRX features a unique, slightly upscale, chasis and bits and pieces but they are basically the same vehicle.
First off I like the SRX, I'd easily get one, it's a really nice crossover but let's get one thing straight .... media outlets are not liking the power of the 3.0 DI - or lack thereof. The problem in a heavy vehicle like the new SRX (exceeds 4200 lbs) is that it needs an engine with lots of torque...the 3.6 DI would've been a much better choice and I hope they make it an option in the future. The SRX is trailing the competition in terms of acceleration performance.
@th3ha1og0d 3.6 D.I. is on the way for 2012. I agree lack of power. It's doable but I have to get on it sometimes during freeway driving. It's so heavy. 5300 pounds curb weight.
What about heated/cooled cup holders, adaptive radar, lane detection, front collision sensors(help from the lower front end form being hit by the curve when parking) and also would like to see night vision again on a Cadillac and not on the DTS. How many DTS even been sold with NAV. I hope more technology and safety will be published. The RX will be a good fight, and would like to see what the 2.8l turbo will do.

@aminevich You can use regulatr gas according to my two local dealers. The Lincoln MKX was also intentionally designed to run on regular 87 octane.

@aminevich 18.6 is the best I am getting. 3.6 for 2012 is the new engine

@Batmanshack
Gas Guzzler? Seriously? Have you compared this cars gas mileage to its competitors?

I'm really confused between Cadillac SRX & GMC Acadia .... both are great cars ..
but the odds for who ?
feduo45465 2 years ago
They're not even similar. The Acadia is bigger and has 3 rows of seats

hopefully they'll add some more power trains to the lineup, a performace version would be sweet

Nice - looks much better than all the Japanese/Korean clones on the road. Cadillac has heart and soul - the stuff from Asia is cookie cutter.
