  • = Broken arrow...

  • Wow. Even on this epic video there are trolls. Nice shot!

  • Kool that you got it on video but you werent actually tryin to do that. I use to practice alot for hunting maybe 500 shots a day during the year. I got pretty good and pretty boredso I made games then. I use to buy some cheap arrows for practice and try to R/H those arrows it was at only 20yrds though. I started collecting em but I did it so many time that I had a barrel of em then I jus started throwing them away.

  • @jaime78418 bullshit!!! what are you in the 3rd grade telling such lies. 500 a day?= bullshit!!! barrel of robin hooded arrows?= bullshit!!!!

    congrats actionsports!!!!!!!!!

  • That is a arrow stuck in a arrow!

I use wooden arrows with wooden nock and a traditional hickory bow!

And i use a homemade crossbow with wooden bolt.

I have never split a arrow from the nock to the tip, that is impossible.

  • Really cool! Love the part about your voice

  • "folks i have managed to split an arrow! you've seen it here!"

  • way to William Tell it ! expensive though.

  • IT DOSENT COUNT... YOUR WEARING CROCS

  • i was about to say thats not a big deal until you zoomed out and the target was 40 yards away lol good shit kid

  • Nice shot kid. Anyone who doesn't acknowledge that you sent two arrows down the same mathematical arc consecutively is kinda douchey.

  • Nice crocs and arm guard dude you get those off Pussyfag.com?

  • @LBC6893 Somebody is trying really hard for some "thumbs ups"

  • @PicknStick0991 i was making fun of the halokill9

  • @LBC6893 oh ok... that makes no sense... but ok

  • @PicknStick0991 If you not a mongoloid it makes sense

  • @LBC6893 so you saying... "nice crocs and arm guard dude you get those at "Pussyfag.com" is making fun of him because he said, " your wearing a arm guard and crocs that screams pussy"... that is making fun of him huh? hahah k man...

  • @PicknStick0991 youre a fucking moron ahaha

  • Ive done that by accident once

  • mythbusters states you can not split a wood arrow, so get some wood arrows and then i will be impressed, nice shot none the less.

  • I have done this twice

  • nice shot

  • @robmil5220 Props for making a NORMAL and non off-topic comment!

  • I remember my first time splinting an arrow, it was awesome and my friend (whose like a older brother to me) who taught me how to shoot rifles and bows was there. Now it just annoys me cause i lost 10$

  • you have made what history?? this happens all the time. lmao

waste of 2 arrows if you ask me.

  • @l0Peace0l i knew that but ive been into archery in all forms my whole life, from hunting to target comps. my grandpa also owns one of the biggest archery shops in southern Michigan. for my Whole life my Grandpa has called it that and so has my family. my family also has a record of archery too, so if anyone were too get archery terms right, it would be them. i dont have a problem with it being called "the robin hood shot" i just stated what i thought it was. thanks for letting me know though.

  • its not called a "robin hood shot" its called "telescoping an arrow"

  • nice shot kid

  • lol i wanna see someone do that then they shoot another arrow and split that 1 that would be sick

  • no offence cause this video was awesome but you arent very good at shooting and your bow is slower than death

  • wow

    nice going

    so that is possible :0)

  • your wearing a arm guard and crocs that screams pussy

  • @Halokill9 You making fun of kids on youtube screams fuckin' loser.

  • @Halokill9 haha he owned you faggot!!

  • Comment removed

  • I guess you are the next Howard Hill!

  • its not hard to spilt a arrow ive done it twice

  • Were you actually aiming for the back of the arrow, or was it an accident?

  • Well done man, Was good shot if it was me Id be very pleased! Was a good grouping too if you discount the one that went low! All the best with your archery!

  • just did it for the first time today and ive been shooting for 10 years i was using my friends arrows though he wasnt very happy before anyone asks why i was using hs arrows we have the same draw length and shoot the same arrow and mine need new fletchings

  • hes impressed with his random arrow show...cute

  • What you did is cool but you did not split an arrow from nock to tip. Great shooting though :)

  • nice shot, and if anyone could help id appreciate it. i was wonderin if it is normal to shoot feather tailed arrows out of my compound bow.

  • @rookieangel88 of course you do: feathers make the best fletch not bloody plastic shit.

  • nice one !!!! dont listen to this guys talking crap ... i bet they have never hold a bow

  • dude my dad has split a carbon arrow in 2 THREE TIMES you have not made history you have simply copied it

  • @AstroPenguin and you have done this how many times ...? OOOOOHHH THATS RIIIIGGHHHTT, NONE. ZERO IS THE AMMOUTN OF TIMES YOU HAVE SPLIT AN ARROW. its like me sayin "my dad is, stronger than you" cmon little man, what are we kindergarteners -.- grow up

  • My dad jus did this today lolz

  • i was shooting next to a guy yesterday who hit this. he was kinda souped lol

  • nice shot!

  • I have done this so many times shooting my bow. Once you learn to be consistent it will happen much more.

  • @moto43ver Yeah I've been shooting for 3-4 years now and at the range seen in this video I can easily shoot groups I can wrap my thumb and pointer finger around, but not a robin hood since! I have broken a few nocks though.

  • @actionsports111 Yes, I have been shooting for 6 years. and its challenging but I love it. competing in 3D competitions is pretty cool too.

  • @moto43ver I've always wanted to shoot 3d competitions but have never really looked into it too much. I shoot a ton over the summer, hours a day if I have the time. I go through a 3d deer target every summer now haha. My current bow is only 2 years old and I already need a new string despite taking great care of it. Archery really is a ton of fun.

  • @actionsports111 yes it is. some people when they shoot in competitions get real mad if the don't do good, but its all just about the fun. I have been shooting 3D for about 4 years now. i like it because of how realistic it is. but i still love deer hunting and turkey hunting with my bow as well. what kind of bows do you shoot?

  • A "Robin Hood" is splitting an arrow in half... but both arrows have to be in the bullseye of the target.

  • @TehKupkaque Yeah but for someone who at the time had been shooting for just a few months maybe this was good enough.

  • @actionsports111 It fucking IS good enough........for anybody at all, my friend!!!

  • @TehKupkaque negative a robin hood is just splitting another arrow

  • @TehKupkaque ive done this twice..1 day apart, too.

  • @TehKupkaque common misconseption

  • Trust me, splitting a wooden arrow is much harder than splitting a hollow carbon/aluminium arrow.

  • @19firebird86 I would agree.

  • @actionsports111 ya enless you had like a 100 or more pound bow or crossbow then it might be possible to split it

  • 1st keep up the good shooting. Technically a "Robin Hood" is shooting the center of an arrow in the center of the target. Most Robin Hoods are only flukes! That said it's freakin' awesome when you get one. I've recently taken up archery and started with recurve and I constantly hit nocks. But now I've got a compound! Shooting at 18 mts the other day with fat indoor arrows I absolutely shagged an arrow so hard the air pressure in the arrow shaft blew my point out the back of the target butt.

  • I remembered back at grade 7 retreat camp, they told us that if we could split the arrow, we could keep it. But then again, we were using 10 lb bows so what're the chances.

Took up archery again recently and hope I can be more serious into it. My dad used to be an archer too and he told me he got 2 Robin Hoods in one day. I'm having my doubts about that, is it really possible?

  • @jess1541 Well anything like that is obviously possible. If you're a good shot, like a really good shot I don't see why you couldn't get two robin hoods in one day. Most really good archers shoot one arrow at each dot on the target to avoid constant arrow hitting issues.

  • @jess1541 Yeah It's possible....I hooded 2 a couple days ago. So once you get dialed in and know your bow well enough it happens. However I will throw out the Disclaimer that arrows aren't cheap....so eventually it becomes more of a pain in the ass than anything. (mostly tearing up nocks and veins) until that point...keep trying to hit em. The smaller the target the better you'll shoot. Try shooting at playing cards. They make cheap targets and force you to focus and shoot small.

  • good shot mate. ive been shooting for around 3 years with me trusty old pse stinger, but im still yet to acheive a proper robin hood. youll bet im gonna be pretty excited when i finally get one :)

  • thats pretty cool dude, keep it up!

  • That's cool! I've been shooting for about a year and I just got my first "Robinhood" last month. I have it hanging on my wall. It did cost me $20.00 for the two arrows it ruined....but it was worth it! Again...nice job, and it's pretty cool that you happened to be taping it.

  • VERY COOL! Good shot!

  • @GOPSUCKSMYBALLS lol you fail kid you're not on any team i bet all the money i got which is around 600 dollars on me right now that you're a fat kid that trolls everybody because you're life sucks and you cant do what he does

  • @GOPSUCKSMYBALLS I'm not going to talk to you if you're going to be rude about it. Thanks for your time.

  • @GOPSUCKSMYBALLS ur one big mother fucking shiting lier go suck a dick and die slow

  • @GOPSUCKSMYBALLS Picking on a kid who'd just started out and was excited to hit his own arrow, then acting like a total butthead. You might be a very good archer but you seem to be a poor example of a human being.

  • @GOPSUCKSMYBALLS

Shut up retard. He just shot it well, so that's he's proud of it. Nobody cares if you're sponsored or not. I'm shooting bow for 15 years and I'm not sponsored by noone, 'couse I don't care about that. I'm also using only wooden stuff and traditional bows. Give him peace of mind, and go shot yourself... With a bow if you can.

  • @GOPSUCKSMYBALLS You are soooo awesome....i can't believe i'm even able to reply to your post you're so cool! I wish I could get sponsored by 2 companies...(they must be pretty awesome if you won't tell us about em) I bet you get to party with the celebrities and teach them to shoot too! I'm not nearly that cool.....I guess to pass the time I'll have to go shoot a 5th Pope and Young Whitetail while I think about how cool it must be to be you.

  • @GOPSUCKSMYBALLS A Robin Hood is something special. With a compound bow it only happens once every 10,000 shots. With a recurve bow with lots of equipment on it it happens once every 25,000 shots. A recurve with now equipment (which is what I'm assuming this guy hand) or a traditional bow it happens once every 50,000 shots. And those are with an experienced archer.

  • just got my 2011 carbon matrix plus 3 days ago and I have robin hooded arrows at 35-40 yrds already....this is weak. not that big of a deal bro.

  • @GOPSUCKSMYBALLS First of all if you have nothing better to do than post negative comments on youtube then get a life. Second, I had just started shooting, this was 2 and a half or 3 years ago, to an archer who has been shooting for a short period of time it is exciting. If you can make the telescoping shots so regularly please film it and put it up on youtube, it sounds like it should be easy for you =)

  • nice shot, hope you bought a lottery ticket that same day!

  • Mite be werd but i was 20 yards away and i had normal arows and i am 13. i did my first hoobin hood. i was so pumped and happy until i forgot that my arows i use in my mathew misson cost 12 bucks i hate buying more arows haha

  • Dang Son.....25 yards? 12Inch Group? haha well got er on video good enough aint it? no matter how big the group

  • it would be cool to do that, but i think if it was me the first thing going through my mind is " awwwww fuck, now i need a new arrow" lol

  • you didnt do it intenchenally i have done the same thang so you didnt do anythang but byron ferguson is the man he did it intenchenally

  • ive been shooting for 17 years and got a never cam close to splitting an arrow....i bought a new Z7 and split two three days apart

  • man pretty low reaction.. if i had hit that id be so excited.

  • who to guesss he was white lol that a pritty good shot littel man

  • the closest ive came to a robin hood is breaking my nock..it hit one side of the nock and slid off of it..if it would of hit about 1/6 of a centimeter to the right it would of been a robin hood

  • @nicksynnz

I am sorry, but what he has done was simply hitting another arrow. He didnt split it into 2(Nock to head) Therefore its a Myth.

  • @santerror2 I think you're taking it too seriously. I couldn't shoot at all then, it was a fluke that happened to have been caught on video. At that range I can shoot touching groups and it has never happened again.

  • im not trying to be mean but thats luck not skill at alll ur group is horrible not counting the one on the wayyy bottom

  • @jzuz1195 Totally agreed. At that point I'd been shooing off and on for only a few months or so. Now I've been shooting for around 3-4 years and my groups at 50 yards are much tighter than the one shown in this vid.

  • @actionsports111 yea ive been shooting for like a year and a half and this summer i shot state compition for 4 h and came in 6th outa like 40 it was preaty cool

  • 1:08. sweet crocs

  • @Lspurls18 hell yeah

  • @Lspurls18 Hell yeah.

  • my friend did that.

  • Good shot but not a true robin hood to be a true robin hood the arrow needs to pass at least half way down the other arrows shaft ie the movie hence the name but was a good shot but quick tip quit stoping your arm and over drawing the bow that's most likely why your arrows are entering the target crooked unless you shoot fingers then quit plucking just some advice

  • @Bad55Taco where does it say that it has to go half way down the arrow in order to be a robin hood? Hmmmmm? The definition of a robin hood is where you shoot one arrow in the back of another and myth busters did bust that myth BUT with today's tech. and the materials we use it is VERY possible I have done 3 robin hoods in about a 4 years time spread 2 this year actually and if you talk to a pro. or do research it will say to shoot one arrow in the back of another

  • CROCS FTW

  • I just started shooting compound bow, and I know it was luck but today I got my first telescoped arrow at 20 yards! The guy at my local shop told me it is a 1 in 100,000 shot!

  • your pattern is everywhere... that was complete luck...

  • @1000gsxrguy whats your point? besides if you can stand back 30 yards and put them all in a paper plate your a deadshot on any deer

  • Great shot. Well done.

  • @bittersweetdefeat hell yeah i split my carbon express maxima's thats like $12!! gosh.

  • Gratz on your first robin hood arrow, im just starting out in archery so I cant wait to get my first though its a bit exensive. GZ again!

  • i remember the time this happened to me, i was so excited till i realized i'd ruined about $12 worth in arrows. sucked for a broke middle-schooler. and now 5 years later i'm back in the hobby again!

  • wow awesome video man

  • Lucky!! you were all over the target, but it is always cool to shaft one.

  • Was it fiberglass? Because if it was aluminium it probably would have been even better. When I split mine, it was fiberglass, so it didn't stay in. :(

  • a blind squirrel can find a nut!

  • nice crocs.

  • When you do that in the center of the yellow circle you will have something.

  • that was awesome :) for the first like 45 seconds i thought you were stood 10 yards away until you zoomed out :)

  • nice shot!!

  • how old are you?

and im 14 now and i have 8 of them!

and when i was in manitoba bear hunting i had a robin hood!

  • anyone that calls this guy an idiot because he was "lucky"...lets see you do that without missing atleast 1,000 times first. ok. done. =P lol

  • its not history, i did that also, any why put the slow mo? its not like u can push an arrow into another arrow.

  • Great shot! I've stuck one like that at 20 yds and busted a nock at 50 yds. Its cool to do it once but it can get expensive quick.

  • nice crocs...

  • Nice shot man!

And don't mind the idiots posting that you didn't do it on purpose, or that you should do it 15 times in a row before posting it on youtube, they're just no-lifers.

  • That is cool, but try and do it on purpose.

  • looks like u just got lucky. try and do it 3 or 4 times in a row.

  • good job man

  • Damnnn

  • nice going !!!!

    good job bro!!

  • your bow sounds funny also you shoot the worst group i have ever seen. i think a 2 year old can do better.

  • not like you were trying to do it haha it was just a fluke

  • its not like u were aiming for it....

  • your reaction wwooww hahahha expected more but good job

  • your wearing crocs

  • Great shot!!

  • awesome job

Shame of the arrow, but for shots like this that doesnt matter ;)

    Nice distance too btw.

  • Nice job man

  • Very nice! but better if you were using a re-curve traditional bow like I was when I split mine lol =D

  • idk if anybody else has actually tried to robin hood an arrow but when i was younger i used to all the time and never could do it when i was trying to, but then when i was just shootin out in the back yard one day i did it. i think if you actually try to it is like impossible but if ur just shootin you can occasionally, idk jsut my opinion

  • In the movie, they used an expert archer...and a bamboo hollow arrow XD

But still, I liked your reaction:

    "Well, what the?..."

  • I just did that this morning. Bear game over and Maxima hunter 250's

  • I did one about 2 yrs ago @ 15 yds. I didn't even think about how cool it was, I was just mad at ruining 2 arrows.

  • Im 11 Shot It A 10 Yards During My LiL Warm up And Got A "Robin Hood"

How Old Are You Wen You Did This?

  • why dont u man up and split an arrow with a traditional bow like i did?

  • why don't you buy me one so i can try???

  • @actionsports111 uhm dude the traditional bows are way cheaper soo u should get one.. pull an actual robin hood

  • @actionsports111 Dude, nice shot. Don't listen to these retards. Cool video.

  • @actionsports111 Why don't you just make one? All you need is a decent piece of wood, and you just remove anything that doesn't look like a bow.

  • @TheTurkeysXXX actionsports is right. the traditional bows are REALLY expensive.

  • @TheTurkeysXXX id say what he just did was pretty manly.

  • @TheTurkeysXXX Why dont you man up and not talk shit to kids on youtube?

  • that is a nice shot so how many yeards was that i got a robin hood shot to almost 2 in one day and it was geting darke to when i did it.

  • to bad it was pure luck.. its not like u were trying to robin hood it....

  • This was coming from a kid who had just started archery. I think you need to get over yourself. You've obviously got some issues or you would be doing something with your time other than criticizing a kid's youtube videos.

  • THAT is called telescoping for obvious reasons. Spliting an arrow is something a bit different and is more likely shatering an arrow, cause robin hood style spliting is in fact a myth.

  • true

  • @dragonwalker2 i know this comment is old but if you are shooting a high lbs bow you could get a split all the way down if you where using a 2 blade broad head so don't say it cant be done. My friends dad was shooting a bowtec bow with 115lb limbs and slit it all the way down evenly

  • @deer3000125 good for him... he better keep it up

  • @dragonwalker2 I thought robin hood shot an arrow literally into an arrow.

If that's the case Trophybow1 just did it.

  • @dragonwalker2 you don't know anything about archery now a days if you still think robin hooding is a myth. Back in the old days it was a myth because of the inconsistency of the wood but with the materials and the tech. we have today it is VERY possible I have done 3 and that was a REAL ROBIN HOOD I have been shooting for 8 years now and am in the process of getting a license to teach so I HAVE to know all of this.

  • @Hunter0505White All right, wise-ass. So, Mr. "I have been shooting for 8 years" Eight years of archery means shit and trust me there is way more stuff you HAVE TO know (and you don't) if you want to teach it. Have a little modesty, man. And hey, I don't know nothing? How could I, you know it all already, nobody else can. Maybe I am too old-school for you, 'cause everything can be done with the very right equipent now as it was then and maybe if I did specify...

  • @Hunter0505White Ooo, I did... So take a traditional wooden arrow and go ahead and Robin Hood it. 'Cause that is Robin Hood style spliting.

  • @dragonwalker2 false

  • Excellent shot..and Myth Busters said it was a myth. I believe that shot with a straight grained arrow would have split from nock to head.

  • @nicksynnz

It is definately not a myth. When I just joined this archery club, I saw they had all these "robin hooded" arrows on the wall hanging up. It's not that easy to do, but it's not impossible either.

  • @jess1541 Thanks for the reply Jess but MythBusters couldnt do it from nock to tip though they did split it a little. by nock to tip I mean all of the shaft.

  • @nicksynnz Mythbusters were wrong big time, I did it my self, with a fiberglass arrow. It didn't stay in, so it wasn't a robin hood, but the tip hit the knock, and the shaft split in half.

  • @Soulsilver06376 Well done Soulsilver Hood, You must always have a camera to prove such claims but I know you did it. Well done.
