IMO, I think people are so used to everyone who sings this song singing it EXACTLY like Barbra with all of the shouts and everything. The point of singing a song isn't to sing it like the original, it's to make it your own. Charlotte makes it her own, singing it her own beautiful way. Lea Michele tried too hard to sing EVERY note and EVERY beat like the original. No one sings it like Barbra, and no one should try.

Actually, I was classically trained as well, and singing pop music does not damage the voice. It's just utilizes different techniques. You all are comparing her to the original and Lea Michelle, but given the fact that she is a classical musician, she did very well in this. :)

Yes, she did sing opera songs, but that does not make her an opera singer. Hell, I could put out an opera CD, that does not mean I am trained in opera or am an opera singer. To be an opera singer, one must have performed in an opera. To be trained in opera, one must be trained by a professional opera vocal coach, which Charlotte was not.
