They should update the opening 'credits' to include post-1980 history. My choices would be Reaganomics, the S&L disaster, soaring income inequality, NAFTA, the 1990s tech bubble and the 2008 financial crisis.
@KarlBonner1982 This video is from 1986 I think... there is some stuff up to 1984 in them IIRC... but the opening credits go to only 1978 for some reason.
The intro is always epic.

The sequences were likely filmed in 1985 or 1986.
