I'm gonna get on stage tomorrow & whackk this out once more. Where are you ladies ? Surely not here in Berlin. Shame why not come over & blast a few from way back when ?
I'll never one of the first gigs I ever went to. Town Hall in Stoke Newington. Empty huge hall. Goergous 15-16-17 & tons of fathers & crew. OK, the show began hardly anybloody in the house other than fathers & a few older brothers crew
Me & my schoolmate stood there trying not to be seen, blown away by sound & delcious girls.
The tunes are to date wonedrful & even Dentiny's Child should shame at this this.
I will always love you & want one of your tunes at my ***eral..!
@josephson1 - THEY GOT RIPPED OFF BY THEIR BROTHER & SO CALLED MANAGER BK IN THE DAY SO PUT PAID 2 THEM. WERE ALSO SIGNED 2 'DEB' LABEL - DENNIS BROWNS PERSONAL LABEL..............
Forgotten this tune until this morning, when it just popped into my head! Couldnt wait to get home and find it. What would we do without "you tube " eh?
Ahh Memorys of the Elephant n Castle Rockingham est, Tiger. Rasta,Carson, Flash.. I no u still out there..U made all the memorys of the day, N give us all the jokes in the night.. Bless.
Magnificent music from these ladies. Voices like angels. I'm from that era and it sounds just as good today as it did way back then. Listening to lovers rock brings joy to my heart and tears to my eyes. Keep Lovers Rock music alive. Those were the best years of my life, Lovers Rock era.
Essas mulheres são demais, mas prefiro a outra musica delas "Baby Love" nunca ouvi um reggae tão maravilhoso quanto esse "baby" love é o melhor de todos que já ouvi
These women are too much, I me prefer their another music " Baby Love " I never heard such a marvellous reggae all the this "baby" love the best of all is that I heard already
That's funny.. cassette. I lost mine too along with my vinyl supply. I hope we all realize how special Lovers Rock was. It was London where the Displaced Diaspora met like we never had before, our parents were JA, TT, Bajan, Guyanese, Ghanian etc etc and we hooked up at skool and clubs. This didn't happen in NY, where island people stuck to their own small island people, ditto UWI (University of the West Indies). Anyone know where the girls parents were from?
Another gem from the 70s. Brings back some lovely memories.

Pure. Quality. Class.
I luv this tune to the max. It invokes all the innocence we as girls had in that era at that age. 15 16 abd 17 WERE US.
