i agree, my 09 ralliart is a 6 speed auto, and it kicks ass with the double clutch transmission, its not as fun and some one my friends cars are to drive though, but it hauls ass, and i'll ruin them, because the minimal shift time.
funny, thing I did this same techinque with my eclipse 420a auto all stock against my brother mx6 the mazda probe version thats manual. I got two lenghts on him. I laughed he was mad and now he owns a 99 gs auto. Lmao

What auto trans are you running im building a BC 272 cammed big 16g 96 talon auto. Got an absolute steal on a near perfect car for 300 bucks. I know nothing about these things but am slowly learning. Used to big block smallblock v8. Id be pretty happy with a low 12 for this talon though. thats all I need. If you can hit me up or anyone else who ACTUALY KNOWS about what theyre talking about.

Like it, it's an automatic...like my 94 talon TSI AWD. He pushed his car into 1st, to rid himself of turbo lag, then shifts up to 2nd, then into drive, then engages OD (for 4th gear)
well i think he put the car in low1 and put the e-brake on. The reved the car til prob almost 4 grand....Then he shifted through the low drive gears intill he was in just regular drive! Because when your in low1 your car revs higher so the turbo kicks in~~~~~ no turbo lag! instant boost!

People fail to realize 5 speeds when you shift it sends you to lower rpms witch sometimes you'll drop out of boost and you gotta wait for it to kick back in,When you rev with auto if you have a stall converter your in boost as you launch and you don't have the relapse time when you shift cause auto can shift faster then any person can,Thats why all them supras running low 9's use auto trans,Ive drove 5 speed and auto if you have that stall converter you'll most likely over power a 5 speed anyday
