Damn dude - this is beyond nuts. What's even crazier is I think you could even shave off a couple seconds by placing the mines near the gas tanks faster, and being near the door quicker (unless you did that on purpose so 006 wouldn't die?). I was just bragging about my time being 1:16 - now I feel like an armature watching this video!

@GannMan05 Thanks! This is the same person who played, just different channel. 1:16 is not that bad though really so good job on that. It takes a little while before Trevelyan completes and I timed it so it would complete right when I entered the exit wich it did, the obj completing on the screen before I entered is the tanks completing.

I had always wondered why speedrunners looked down while run-strafing. Thanks for the tip. Facility actually turned out to be a really fun challenge in retrospect. I just got it a few weeks ago 1:41. Nice run, though. Everything looked well-timed. Do you think there's room for improvement?

@TheEgg185 This is actually the ntsc version so it should'nt be different. Youre probably running too slow so you get hit, then get hit more. You want to be sure that you are atleast speedstrafing.

I guess the trick to using only 2 mines on the tanks is to place the mines so that a lot of the blast force takes out the outer ones, and the totalt blast from those two mines together sum up to blast the inner tanks with the same force.

Which control method are you using? I use Solitaire but tried the 2 controllers method -ugh. This is really a 2 stick game but the N64 controller is a kluge. Also Auto-aim -off?

@TSGameStar I used 1.2 which is the same as solitaire IIRC. 2 controllers are used on some levels but its not a good choise for this level tbh. I had autoaim on for Facility..

Thanks for the extreme attitude about not cheating - I spent a lot of time on my vids & its obvious a lot of the elites are cheating. Maybe not all but no one gets world records on almost all of 66 levels in TS2...plus check out the glitches that give away poor video editing. TAS, emus, editing...for wannabees. (Pane in the Neck in 3.5 seconds? Not likely.)

@TSGameStar I dont know much about timesplitters but I watched the 3.5 vid and it did look legit to me, he also has runs uploaded for slower times which backs it up even more. Often it has to go with trust also and better times requires video proof and I couldnt spot anything sketchy on his run. Thing is it might seem "Not likely" or whatever but that mission seems extremly short, so its just about restarting over and over until everything goes right using the same strat as he does.

@1DarkyMaian1 Timesplitters 2 is the "Heir apparent to Goldeneye" (ad on box) because the Rare guys ditched & formed Free Radical (hence the company name) to make TS2 & Future Perfect. Goldeneye is much harder than those games, or any other I have ever played & I've played at least 200-300 games, most of them all the way through. Anyway, thanks for checking that vid out.

It is to make it lag less which means that you can control bond better and you can make "sharper" turns and you save about a second every 1 and half minute if you wouldnt be doing so. Streets and the first Surface level is the ones where you see most how lookdown is helping for the final time. Some levels seems to have no difference though, Statue is one of those.

Everything you did was for a reason. I think you might have been able to get a little faster time if you waited at the ending door and clicked B as soon as the objectives were complete. Just a thought. Your the best. Love the game, love ur work.

That is pretty awesome. I've gotten the cheat before, but I just started replaying the game and was working on getting it again. I tried to blow up the mines as I was exiting the room and failed since I did it too late and then I got shot just as I was leaving the last room. I think I'll give it another shot tomorrow :p

Nice try but you never got 43 w/o cheating, not even on the Agent difficulty. Pic proof is never good enough in any case, you have to have a full video of the run for it.

It's just I watched another video and he didn't stop he just ran straight through and the objective completed as he went through the door. Objected completed at 1:01 you go through door at 1:02

What you see is the D objective completing (taking out all the bottles), not C. And for the other vid you saw Im guessing he was slow on taking the bottles down, something I usually do faster than most ppl, also the reason why D is visible at the last sec.

YEah Doak is gay, I dont know how many runs I had screwed over thanks to him not being there, then I had to get a good Trev aswell wich makes it even more gay. Yeah this is one of my personal favourites music versions aswell and it really fits to the run. Haha yeah, thats a really old strat, but that strat is slower than the one that I use here.

Good trev is when he stands way outside from the bottles like on my run, wich means you can blow the ranks righ awya w/o him dieing, bad trev is when he is close to them (or even inbetwe n them) wich makes you have to wait for him for atleast a sec extra (1-8 secs or so depending how he stands if he is bad) before you can blow the tanks or else he dies and the mission fails, so with a normal bad trev I would have ended up with a 55 on this same run instead of 54. Console,

Is there a trick for getting Trevelyan to not call you a traitor? I always seem to have to wait the entire conversation which eats a lot of my time/health when enemies are pouring in. I tried to blow em' up fast and leave but he still called me a traitor :(

You probably get a bad Trev where he is facing the bottles or standing inbetwen them, if you blow up the bottles right away Trev will get hurt/killed wich causes him to say that line. Notice that he's standing way outside the bottles for me on this run wich is a good Trev, means I can blow them up right away. Trev is random, the only way I try to manipulate him is by facing the door when waiting for the decoder to finnish. Check my 00A 56 for a bad Trev strat, him facing bottles.
