  • ok i have a question... if this is the original japanese episode... why are Kira and Cagalli's names on the back of the picture in english?

  • You kinda answered your own question.......obviously it would be in english Japanese people would still be able to pronounce it and their names are pretty much the same in English as they are in Japan(only a few slight spelling errors)

  • actually the question is still un-answered. even though the names may be PRONOUNCED the same the names would be written using the Kanji symbols, wouldn't they?

  • True but I am supposeing it would be easier if they just saw the name written in english or the letters that would be used.

  • seed was originally planned to be marketed mostly in America, thats why a lot of writing you see in it is in english, in destiny there is even magazines with english written on them, however seed didnt go as well in the US as was planned

  • ahh ok but then japanese people who first saw this clip when it was aired in japan originally wouldnt have gotten the clue that kira and cagalli were siblings cus they wouldn't be able to read english, right?

  • well seeing as when people in Japan and almost all other countries are taught english as well as their native language in school, they might-probably would have been able to read that.

Unlike our schools here in the US where all i'm allowed to take for language classes is French (which i really dont care to learn, at least spainish, id be able to use maybe)

  • @linkxsc

english language and the roman alphabet are taught and used in Japan, romaji replacing katakana in some cases for foreign words, Also english and the roman alphaebet are used all around the world as a working language not just in japan

  • @Warsie I know, I'm studying the language in my spare boredom

  • lol its simple really alot of anime even in original japanee put the writing in english,(sometimes just so america will buy the series)
