  • Hindi is conventionally written in Devanāgarī and draws on Sanskrit. but more or less tese are same atleast in speaking.i am pakistani but i agree it is not pakistani language it reepresented indopak muslims b4 partition n a large number of these muslims r also in india. but i dont understand why we start quarelling on everything movie, drama, story, actor n now language like kids this is mine, not urs. if u like it just enjoy it.

  • urdu was develped by mughals Their mother tongue was the Chaghatai language (had Turkic and Persian culture). bridge the commncation gap with local ppl they developed 'urdu' language 'lashkri zuban' contains words from different languages from perisan, arabic, punjabi, english n ofcourse sunskrit. Urdu is written in the Nastaliq style of the Persian alphabet and relies heavily on Persian and Arabic.

  • manmohak git...

  • Regardless of what is the national language of Pakistan , the country has never produced anything but terror groups. They can never produce anything creative as sweey music or even something that benefits their own people.

  • @slenderboy2 You KNOW, THA FACT THAT INDIA PRODUCES MOVIES DOES'T MEAN THAT IT'S MORE DEVELOPPED THAN PAKISTAN OR OTHER COUNTRIES, I'M NOT INDIAN, NOT PAKISTANI, I VISITED THE TWO COUNTRIES AND LET ME TELL YOU THAT BOTH COUNTRIES ARE SUFFERING FROM POVERTY AND INJUSTICE, THE TRUTH IS THAT INDIAN GOVERNEMENT ENCOURAGE CINEMA INDUSTRY TO SHOW TO THE WORLD A WRONG IMAGE OF INDIA, WICH DOENS'T REPRESENT REALITY , PAKISTAN IS BLESSED CUZ LOOK WHAT BOLLYWOOD PRODUCES NOWADAYS, CHEAP PORN MOVIES

  • this movie is indian but the lyrics are in urdu language which is paks national language

  • Everyone thanks for all the linguistics comments. I enjoy this song.

  • Dharmendra aisa hai ... koi b khoobsurat usko share nahi kar sakti ....

  • urdu means big army in hebro ,,,means lahskar ,,armu few peaple who have mother languge in pk ,,,,but also national tung any way 4 big languge in pk

  • urdu was invented my mughal military in hyderabad..by mixing persian and sanskrit...people who say urdu is pakistani..dont forget we gave u that land 50 yrs ago..

  • Beautiful song with the phenominal picturisation

  • Nice song love it...

  • urdu is an indian language

  • it very nice song

  • Nice Song from Aankhen (1968 film)

    Starring :

    Mala Sinha

    Dharmendra

    Mehmood

  • Fuck Hindi Urdu people... Look at Mala Sinha's ass... Mala Sinha had a nice ass!

  • @Desi4evah LOL! you know how to "crack" the tension btwn hindus and pakis!

  • What is Urdu? Grammar from Sanskrit, Vocabulary from Persian or Farsi and script from Persian. It is a purely synthesized hybrid. The original language is Khari Boli (which is the standard dialect of Hindi). Due to political and religious nature of this issue, people are not willing to treat Urdu as just a pseudo language.

  • Excellent song.

But the film sequence and setting for it are lame!

  • URdu Mashallah, lata Cha gyi tum Qasam se

  • Very Nice Songs!!

  • music is a universal language in our global village it is just a human heritage whether from Bach or Utad Ali Khan .

  • Why do we always have to argue over religions (Islam and Hinduism) and languages (Hindi or Urdu). Why don't we just enjoy that something we have in common - music, please.

  • urdu means army camp in turkish, urdu was born due to the influence of persian , arabic , turkish and braj hindi from north india , sanskrit died thousans of years back , brought by aryan invaders from central asia and europe.

  • @ahmadtafeem I agree about Urdu but "Aryan invaders from central Asia and Europe" theory was part of Nazi/British propaganda to belittle Indian subcontinent people.

India's fertile land prior to last ice age gave rise to great civilizations. After the ice age, many changes to the land as well as culture has resulted in superstitious ways of life but much of art/music, mythology and philosophy of the land has survived.

  • Dharmendra s ssssssssssssssooooooooooo hadsome

  • whether its urdu r not ,d sond s nice.enjoy it.Dont be cynical.Urdu s mixture of hindi and arabic .

  • ضرطه !!

  • Just lovely,,,both the song and the singer!

  • beautiful song, thanks

  • The disturbing thing is how twisted this seems because it seems so forcibly Western. I am Western to tell the truth but I appreciate Lata and thing this video seems to have a drag queen feel and the guy looks Italian- maybe because of the forced Westernization.

  • relax people and enjoy the music. who cares about linguistics right now? history is a blur when the archeology is withered in sand and so people guess at where the roots of language come from.

  • what an amazing song!

  • Ghairo pe karam apnu pe Sitam :(

aay jaaan e waafa yeh zulaam na kar ...

  • This is a Hindi Film and a Hindi Song

  • Magic

  • well its urdu and hindi mixed up and people who are sayin that urdu is pure paki language then they dont know that pak is part of india. who said urdu is branch of perisan lang well its derived from sanskrit

i think people in pak should pay more attention to their literature

  • @apurvapathak001 you are so rite

  • @00ASforeva thanks man you know kashiffireman or what ever should know their history properly and do their homework properly

  • @apurvapathak001 oh you stupid indian, pakistan is not part of india. India has been our part. And urdu is pure oakistani language, it is a part of persian, and if you want to proud by saying it a part of sansikrat , then no problem. You may carry on.............

  • @kashifrehman95 well would not like to reply to person like you but since you approached me i will oblige you. PLEASE and i say PLEASE go and read your history books properly you will get your answer. and frankly speaking i pity you. You know why its not your fault its your upbringing you c and your culture. I don't hate ISLAM in fact i love each religion but foolish and greedy followers and extremists like you are the main culprit. ya and once again HISTORY BOOKS go back to it and do ur homwrk

  • @kashifrehman95 If you don't know Linguistics, don't speak, you idiot. Urdu comes under the Indo-Aryan branch of Indo-Iranian languages, which refers to all languages derived from Sanskrit. Urdu is linguistically a variant of Hindi. You Pakis define the night as day and day as night, but we'll not believe in it.

  • @kashifrehman95= There was no so called Pakistan before 1947. Urdu existed long before that. Persian is ancient and Islam destroyed it and claimed that all its culture was Islamic. That is Islamic tradition. Kill your enemy and wear his clothes; and say that his wife is yours. Do you have any idea that Afghanistan was entirely Hindu and Budhist 2500 years ago? You can not, because Islam did not exist at that point of time. Wake up and have a good wash.

  • @sighland

you are absolutely correct, not even pakistan was in foetus, but all paki from the present pakistan was in fact harijan in India or their fore father, but their root is from India... they convert into islam for some material gain and some respect from society. hightly influenced by the persian cloth merchant coming to India.

This is a fact of history and nobody can deny that. So urdu is just a derivate of hindi, sankreet etc

  • @kashifrehman95

Urdu has existed in India for 800 years.Pakistan is old is 63 years old. Is it an Indian or Pakistani language?

  • @apurvapathak001 .. Agreed that Urdu is not a pakistani language but this is 100% Urdu not even 5% hindi. Also Urdu is not derived from any single language. Get your facts right.

  • @apurvapathak001

Well, Urdu vocabulary is influenced by Persian, Arabic, Hindi and Sanskrit mainly. And it was mainly developed in Uttar Pradesh (an Indian state) and not in Pakistan

  • @apurvapathak001 almost 90% of this song has only persian and arabic words. Do you want me to identify each and every one of them?

  • @apurvapathak001 I think I am speaking this language from last 26 years and as a Urdu lover I know a little about its History as well. Take a note that Urdu is not derived from any Language but its just a mixture of few Languages. The name URDU is Turkish word means LASHKAR. The writing script is similar to Persian or Arabic and it has words from Arabic, Persian, Turkish, Sanskrit.

Sanskrit is totally different language, The language u r using in Movies is not Sanskrit, Its something else. :)

  • @apurvapathak001

    how many still speak sanskrit?

    and howmany still speak persian?

urdu has more to do with persian then sanskrit.

    do ur own homework.

btw india and pakistan are the same to me.

  • @apurvapathak001 You are so very correct in your assessment!!! It completely baffles me how the lilliputians fight over urdu and hindi! Both these languages are interlinked and inherentely Indian . Both languages were born in India and have fourished in India. Mother India has every reason to claim both these languages as her own and be proud of them. I wish people would quit fighting over these two very exquisite languages.

  • @apurvapathak001 Urdu is mostly comprising of Arabic, Persian and Sanskrit along with few other languages... It is the language created for communication of Mughal force which had people from different part of asian countries.

  • @apurvapathak001 this is pure urdu , song in hindi heheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • @apurvapathak001 well for ur kind info v do pay attention to our literature n urdu is combination of turkish, sanskrit and perisan language aswell..n tht's nt evn pure urdu

  • @apurvapathak001 Urdu is Pakistan's national language, now Pakistan owns it. It will be spoken and taught like Pakistan wants it to. The changes and modification in Pakistan literary circles are already accepted world wide. Stay updated.

  • @apurvapathak001 WELL SAID BRO. LAHORE HYDRA BAD AND LUCKNOW SHOULD GET TOGETHER TO PRODUCE GREAT MUSIC.

  • @apurvapathak001 U fuckin low life endian rat ! get ur facts together before u shit sumwhere..u fuckin low life fuck

  • @apurvapathak001 actually what u people call hindi is a mixtur of urdu and sanskrit, would u please mentioin how many sanskrit words have been used in this song. i give u an example of urdu and sanskrit difference if u say bhartia sahtia preshad, i will understan nothing but if u say Wafaq Adbiyat Hind then i can better understand. Bhartia sahtia preshad is in sanskrit and Wafaq adbiyat Hind is in urdu. Acutally u prople tried to hi-jack urdu but u cant do that never ever

  • @TheButshikan YOU kNOW I Think that urdu has been influenced by arabic, cuz i'm arabic and i can undestrand bothe anguages , Hindi and Urdu except few words ...

  • @apurvapathak001 The urdu has been influenced by arabic, i'm arabic and i understand Urdu because it contains 50 pourcent arabic words , even hindi

If you need any more info, please dont hesitate.

    Thanks

  • @41papu

who is the actress sitting with Dharmendra? she is cute too. Babita I think is the singing, her expressions are really nuanced and beautiful, but then when Lata sings even an ugly duckling can look beautiful!

  • The loud sound of instruments has ruined the experience. They completely overshadow the sweet voice of Lata Mangeshkar.

  • true...

  • même que je ne comprend les mots je suis drôlement sèduit et c'est un spectacle émouvant merci

  • mala sinha

    .

    .

    i love this song!

  • what's the name of the beautiful actress in pink ? thanke you !

  • Lata turned 80 years today.

I have read from a some reliable source that Urdu language was developed in northern part of India in 15th century as a crossover between Hindi (in those days hindustani) and Persian for administrative purposes; allegedly by Delhi Sultanate in those days.

  • but urdu and hindi are very alike arent they?. They both branch out of sanskirt right? they sound so alike there is NO difference between urdu and hindi.

  • No, no. Urdu derives from Persian, Hindi from sanskrit

  • nice song , just the guy beating his electrical drum is a mofo , it ruins the song pfffff.

Just upload originals mofo'sdont play a roland electric drum over the real audio pfff , rapist drummer/

  • she sounds beautiful.

  • The song is urdu and Hindi both. But the singer is Hindi and the song came out to be beautiful because of her.

  • of course i do , im pakistani

and urdu is our first language ,

i did my k-8 grade in pakistani .

  • Answering some of the posts:

the film is Aankhen (1968 )

The girl with Dharmendra is Zeb Rehman

  • THIS IS URDU NOT HINDI

  • This is Hindi guys....not urdu...though the music sounds arabic-style....

  • this is urdu !

indians dont write songs in hindi

  • Really this langauge is not URDU . can u tell me what is langauge that... ktrini

  • @sanny6667 this is pure urdu and its the best song ever its dissing traitors

  • @sanny6667 hindi

  • @sanny6667 its hindi:)

  • @sanny6667 hindi

  • @sanny6667 I think it is hindi with urdu words as i can comprehend shyamala

  • @sanny6667

You can say that this song is in Urdu because most of the words in the song are Urdu words

  • @sanny6667 yes it is in urdu, actually very urdu.

  • HI Yes but it is almost 80% urdu language, and I challenge that all indian songs are in urdu, a few words are used from pure hindi but the poetry of india pak region not fits other than urdu language, the languages are art of human communiqué & it is not a cause of hate if it belongs from your neighboring nation; definitely Pak was part of India, and we imagine one day the both countries will be good partners again forever, with no borders like European nations. We will be glad to see that day,

  • @sanny6667 This is urdu dear.

  • The language is Hindi-Urdu (aka Hindustani) which is a mix of Hindi and Urdu. Pure Urdu (like pure Hindi) is not easily spoken and understood. Urdu was born in the Mughal courts of Delhi by the amalgamation of East (Sanskrit/Hindi) and West (Persian/Arabic).

  • who told this language is not urdu...this is 100 percent urdu....100 percent

  • THIS IS NOT URDU GO BACK TO SCOOL

  • the world most sweet and expressive langauge URDU.

    Urdu itself poetry,music,love,romance,.

what remains in lata ji without Urdu,,?

  • Urdu is a language like any other and the user is responsible to make it sweet or otherwise. We in India have seen Urdu used by cruel Mohomedan rulers for ages. Also Lata is best at singing the infinitely sweet and pure verses of Sant Dnyaneshwar, a poet saint of Maharashtra.

  • who are you "poissondelamer"????

THE LATA MANGESHKAR is da cultural ambassador of India and is beyond the bounds of any language!

u have made an extremely irresponsible comment without realizing that Lataji is a deity in our country India.

and by the way, Lataji never really needed urdu to become the legend that she is. She was already a great singer right since her childhood. And it is her divine voice and dedication that has made her what she is today.

so give up your illusions and shut up!

  • both gals lukalike?? whu are they?? any one?

  • The lip-syncing one is Mala Sinha, and the one in blue is Shashikala...the hero is Dharmendra...I am trying to figure out what movie is this...

  • The other one is NOT Shashikala though she does look a bit like her.

  • Is she Minoo Mumtaz? Madhumati? Jeevankala? Nalini Chowkar?

  • Hope you don't mind, but I am too busy worshipping Mala Sinha to notice the other woman, heh heh!

Well, actually, I am sorry, I don't know, all four of your names are also unfamiliar to me.

  • Haha I agree...for your information, Minoo Mumtaz is the sister of comedian Mehmood and also a Bollywood supporting actress...Madhumati, Jeevankala and Nalini Chonkar are all based in Marathi cinema, but they also played a few significant parts in Hindi films...one last question, could the lady in blue be Helen?
