  • i bet that little red toyota still driving around the states, while those crappy saturns doing trany rebuilds!

i had 16 cars for the past 7 years half of them american, and i can honestly say that Imports make better cars over all!

  • There is a reason why the big three has fallen over and over again. Idiotic unions, non- reliable cars (there is a reason why foreign cars are favored almost everywhere in the US except in the midwest), and poor management. Japanese cars are better, get over it. Out of a job yet? Keep making crappy cars.

P.S. It just so happens that toyota and honda are the two highest car companies, when it comes to using american workers to build domestic cars.

  • @thatonekid12341 this is an old comment, but did you know that japan wont let american cars(or any other cars) be sold in its country. nope, cant even buy em. did you know that the big 3 employs over 3 million americans directly and indirectly. american cars are not CRAPPY cars, my family has owned 7 american cars, all of them lasted for 10 years our more and all of them were great. but hay what am i saying fuck america and everything made in it too. give japan money!

  • @CrashJSTest Dodge assembles almost 90% of the RAM trucks they sell in the US inside the US. They send out some RAM 1500's to Mexico and Canada (which is great that they assemble them here and send them out instead of vice versa) and unfortunately get some from Mexico but they make the equivalent of 90% overall inside the US.

  • @CrashJSTest Did you know that, according to J.D. Power, the Cobalt had less engine problems in the first 90 days of ownership than the Civic and Corolla? That goes to show that the only reason people have more problems with their Cobalts is because they ignore scheduled maintenance (which starts to show in long term) but Civic and Corolla owners don't. The Cobalt was better to start with because it had fewer problems initially. And, again, you keep lying because the Avenger is 83% APC.

  • @CrashJSTest More Americans are employed by the big three plus more executives (which make much more money and will spend much more money) are employed by the big three because the HQ's are here so the big three are responsible for more spending. Plus R&D which you keep ignoring.

  • @CrashJSTest The Avenger is 83% American so it's more than the Camry. Any of the big three employ many more Americans than any foreign automaker so you are supporting more jobs and the factories that were built here. We've had this argument before. Why are you incapable of reading with some sense? The big three employ more Americans, more of the profits stay here, they make many more cars with higher APC and the HQ are here. They contribute more and that's a fact. What are you arguing?

  • @CrashJSTest The Dodge Avenger is 83% APC. Why do you have to lie so much? where did you get 65% from? There are 37 cars with APC higher than 75%. 5 of them are going out of production this year so only 32 are valid. Out of these 32, 24 are made by the big three. That's 75%. So 75% of the cars with 75% APC or higher are made by the big three so they are more American than Honda and Toyota.

  • @CrashJSTest American cars will last you 20 years. There are many 80's and 90's Buicks, Cadillacs, Chevys, Dodges and Fords on the road. The big three sell more cars in the US than the foreign makes. The Camry sells more than the Malibu but GM combined (I think) sells more than Toyota combined. Toyota took the #1 spot based on global sales not US sales only. And GM is gaining it back. The big three are doing more work here, who said that Honda and Toyota do?

  • @CrashJSTest Toyota is not American. 1st: The big three support more American jobs. 2nd: The big three's profit stays in the US. 3rd and most importantly: Go ask Toyota CEO if Toyota is American. You can't label them as "American" when even them wouldn't say they are.

  • @CrashJSTest I write so many comments because I have to reply to your (thin) arguments. You replied to my comments as well, why don't you stop arguing with me and continue arguing only in messages? Sales representatives on the phone have very limited knowledge. They only have knowledge that could solve car related issues not car trivia. It's not insight and American cars are more reliable, safer (according to NHTSA) and more comfortable (nothing beats a Cadillac).

  • @CrashJSTest The HD models are included with the F150 content. The F150 and F250 are actually 75% American (bankrate .com) the higher models are probably lower than 60% (probably around 50%). But even then, the engines and transmission are American and most of them are still assembled in the US.

  • @CrashJSTest Firstly it’s 40% foreign content not 45%. Secondly, the cost of these components is 40%. The profits that are made on each car stay in the US. 40%/60% split is based on cost of producing parts not where the profit goes. The profit goes to the HQ’s. Lastly, if you really care about American, buy the Dodge Avenger and boycott GM and Ford until they bring their percentages up like Dodge.

  • @CrashJSTest GM, Ford and Chrysler employ more Americans than Honda and Toyota. If you really care about American jobs, you would buy from the big three. If you really care about local economy, you would buy from the big three because the HQ’s are here and the profit stays here. It really bothers me that the Fusion is assembled in Mexico but the Avenger and Malibu aren’t so if this REALLY is your problem, buy the Avenger or the Malibu.

  • @CrashJSTest When you buy the Camry, all of these benefits go to Japan.

  • @CrashJSTest Do you really care about buying American? If you really do then you should buy the Dodge Avenger which has a higher American content than the Camry. The HQ being in America means that most of the profit stays in the US because the highest earning employees are in the US and they are going to spend it here and MUCH MORE importantly is R&D spending which is huge and also requires hiring engineers, technicians, etc. in addition to developing new technologies.

  • @CrashJSTest The Ford F Series (not just f150) is 60% American not 55%. The F650 /750 are assembled in Mexico but the rest is assembled in the US. The F650/F750 would influence the total percentage. It’s like the Camry hybrid (45% American) being included with the Camry total percentage which would drop it significantly.

  • @CrashJSTest Ford would not give you an answer to such a question. Call center representatives probably don't even have access to such an answer. To get an answer like that you would have to contact dealerships across the US and see how many you sold of each.

  • @CrashJSTest Let's get back to the main argument. Would buying from the big three be more supportive to America than buying from foreign makes? Yes. Please, prove me wrong. Also, American cars are better performers but we'll leave this for another day.

  • @CrashJSTest They are actually 6 all together because there's no F550 as far as I know. As for the F150 (can't find the link), assume for arguments sake that 150-750 count, it outsold the Camry by 200,000. That's not a small margin. Highly doubt the F650 and F750 count for more than 200,000.

  • @CrashJSTest You don't feel like reading and replying to all of it because you are missing one thing; logic. If you thought with logic you would realize that past purchases should not affect future purchases and would have realized that the list which should guide people should reflect what their future purchases support; which is what the ALAA is for, so the list is misleading. Care to argue logically? Go ahead.

  • @CrashJSTest Based on actual parts-content, buying an Avenger would support 4% more Americans than buying a Camry. In addition to the profits which will stay inside the country and will be spent on R&D which spends A LOT of money in the country and hires engineers, scientists, technicians, workers, etc. R&D is one of the biggest drivers of strong economies.

  • @CrashJSTest If a million Toyota Matrix’s have been sold and 1 Dodge Avenger has been sold, the Toyota Matrix will have supported more Americans than the Dodge Avenger but if you buy a Toyota Matrix Tomorrow, you are supporting fewer Americans. cars. com suggests that it would because it puts the car ON THE TOP of the American-made index, although buying it in the future would not support more Americans.

  • @CrashJSTest If you were to buy a car tomorrow and your decision was based solely on which one is more American, after seeing this list, you (and many others) will probably buy the Camry. But if you bought the Avenger you would be supporting more Americans because it contains more American parts. The list should help you decide based on which purchase WILL support more Americans not which car HAS supported more Americans because people bought them.

  • @CrashJSTest The automobile labeling act was put in place to help people decide which cars are more American and the list helps you based on parts content. Sales do not mean anything in FUTURE purchases. If you were to go buy a car tomorrow, which purchase supports more Americans, the Camry or the Avenger? The Avenger does because it has a higher content and because Chrysler employs more American employees.

  • @CrashJSTest Firstly, there are 4 F's. The F150, F250, F350 and F450, not 7. Secondly, the F150 alone outsold the Camry by over 200,000 vehicles. The rest is now referred to as the Super Duty Series. I know what they mean by showing that it has supported more American parts because from a gross point of view (not percentage) more American parts have been made to build them than for the Avenger even though the Avenger contains more American parts per car. That's misleading for prospect buyers.

  • @CrashJSTest That means that more American parts and even more American jobs would be supported if people were to buy Dodge Avengers instead of Toyota Camrys. But those a lot of those who care wouldn't because they are mislead by that list.

  • @CrashJSTest To take the analogy to an extreme (in case you don't get my point), if Camry were 10% American and they sold 1 million while the Avenger was 90% American and they sold 1 thousand. 1,001,000 Cars have been sold. The Camry would have caused the production of 100,000 units worth of American parts and the Avenger only 900. Does that mean the Camry is more American? Of course not, it only means more people bought it. If it is switched, the Avenger would cause 900,000 and the Camry 100.

  • @CrashJSTest Eventually everyone who cares about that would go buy the Avenger and if they sell in an equal number (or more) the Avenger would support more Americans. By weighting the sales they are misleading people to think that the Camry contains more American parts (which it doesn't) which would sway people into buying it, thinking it contains more American parts. The list is made to tell people which car SUPPORTS more American not supportED more Americans because more people bought it.

  • @CrashJSTest And that IS VERY misleading (the Camry is actually more than 75% American so I highly doubt they said that). The Dodge Avenger, for example, contains more American parts than the Camry. If you look at the list which is (supposedly) sales-weighted, you would think that it is more American and you would (if you care about that issue) blindly buy the Camry when in fact by buying ONE Avenger you are supporting more Americans than if you bought ONE Camry.

  • @CrashJSTest That is misleading. If GM, Ford or Chrysler and Toyota were to close down, who would put more American out of business? Any of the big three would and that means by buying from the three you are supporting more American jobs, let alone the American economy which benefits from the profits. And I don't think it said anywhere that the Camry is only 75% American. It said the Accord was and that ALL cars listed are 75% or above.

  • @CrashJSTest Just google it. It's posted on many websites. I can't share a link on here but you can check on Motor Trend (and I'm sure any other automotive magazine website) and MSN news. It's the best selling passenger car not compact. And the best selling vehicle is, as always, the Ford F150. So the best selling passenger car is the Cruze and the best selling vehicle overall is the F150.

  • @yrusuchadick Chrysler is getting their compact car from Fiat. I'm not sure what the deal that they're talking about is. Chrysler is trying to be more global though like GM and Ford so maybe they're going to China and they're developing a compact for the Chinese market, but their compact offering here is coming from Fiat. And the new Equinox engines are made in the US, but you neglected to admit that you were wrong about not doing YOUR research and accusing me of being uninformed.

  • @yrusuchadick Again, it's not the VIN it's the American Automobile Labeling Act. Do your HW before you ask me to do mine. The old Equinox engine was built in China; the Ecotec's are built here in the US. I hope you start learning before assuming things.

  • @yrusuchadick You do know that that's the older small engine, right? Well in case you don't know, now you do. The 2.4L in the Equinox is assembled in either the Tonawanda, NY or Spring Hill,TN. And in case you don't know, it's not the VIN. Have you heard about the American Automobile Labeling Act (AALA) which requires manufacturers to state the country(ies) of origin of the transmission/engine among other things?

  • @yrusuchadick The Equinox's engine is 100% Chinese built? Where did you learn that? The Equinox's engine is built in the US. Do you people just like to make stuff up?

The Dodge Challenger and Charger are built in Canada AND the US. Dodge sells the car in both countries. I don't know if they mix the production but you can simply look at the plate inside the door and if it's not built in the US, look for one that is (that's not what's stopping you from buying them though. You're just stupid lol)

  • @CrashJSTest You do know that the Cruze is the best selling car in the US so far this year, right? Doesn't look like it.

  • @CrashJSTest cars . com altered the list to make it look better. The official list is posted on NHTSA official website more than 70% of the cars with 70% American content come from the big three. cars . com used the same labeling act (supposedly) as the NHTSA and yet they came up with a different list than the official one and posted it on the website to.. mislead people? or does it simply reflect personal opinion? Not sure. I do know, however, that it's not an accurate list.

  • Shit... that is just one long list of fucking ugly cars!

P.S. That Pontiac GTO is not American... it's from Australia (Holden Monaro) dipshit!

  • Scared to show newer Japanese cars? lol

  • @zxcvb07 No, it's because the older ones are the closest to cars. The newer ones are appliances with bland boring looks. I have yet to read a car review that likes the styling of Toyotas and Hondas (except for some liking the last gen Civic and calling it controversial)

I BUY ONLY AMERICAN CRAP!.. MY HOUSE IS EMPTY THOUGH........

  • American cars are a joke!

  • @MrRichstitch I would agree with you 30 or 40 years ago, but i wouldnt today

  • I don't give a shit if I'm supporting the Japanese. THEY MAKE FUCKIN BETTER CARS. American cars are getting there but I still prefer Imports their more reliable and comfortable.

  • @zxcvb07 not really anymore. that might of been true for the last 30 years but now, american cars are the same or maybe even better than japanese.

  • @bigwillchill Perhaps but the damage to their reputation is already done. Most people will just stick with Imports.

  • @zxcvb07 many people are noticing how american car manufacturers are stepping it up, many people i know are switching back. im trying to raise awarenss to this issue so our economy can get a bit better

  • Buying Japanese supports the JAPANESE GROSE NATIONAL PRODUCT, even if it's made in Kentucky. Vice versa for buying US cars, even if they're made in CANADA. US items cost 3X more in Japan than Japanese items; can you say TRADE IMBALANCE? There are more million mile domestics than ALL the Japanese imports COMBINED! Silly ricers, useles wings are for PENGUINS!

  • @nicajm finally someone who knows more. i have a 350,000 mile crown vic and still runs perfect. many imports make it to 200,000 but running rough.

  • @nicajm useless wings you mean the ones on the Chevy Colbalt SS and Plymoth Cuda? Or like the ones in this mustang?

    /watch?v=E8NGi8x9krw

  • Support America! Help US built quality cars, not make a propaganda to tell people to buy shit cars.

  • If America builds a quality car, good on gas, low maintenance, good looking and great resale value I'll buy one. So far, I havent seen any.

  • @StupidAmerican2 With all due respect, If America didn't build a quality car they would not be in the business for over 100 years. There are plenty of American cars that compare to the standards you've listed. In fact, Ford has a higher quality rating currently than the foreign automakers. Thats not opinion, thats statistics. I will quote JDPower and Associates in saying:

"The Ford Focus was the highest ranked compact car, ahead of Honda's Civic and the Hyundai Elantra."

  • @hiccupsOne230 I've seen a few people claim this and I think you all must be reading wrong. Ford is number 5 on the IQS list, pretty good, but they are still behind 4 other German and Japanese car companies.

And yeah, American cars were great for the first 60 or 70 years, but after that they've been nothing but garbage.

  • @idontcare80 Ford is the ONLY American car company worth even considering..........END OF FUCKING STORY!!!!!!!

  • @landyachtfan79 I will definitely agree with you on that!

  • @landyachtfan79 Yes, they're an "American" car firm.... hiring Canadians, Mexicans, and South Americans to build them.

  • @StupidAmerican2 ford fusion buddy... look it up projected resale values WAYY higher than camry, better gas mileage, affordable, better handling etc. better looking too!

  • @heresthelastone Thats your opinion buddy. But hey, lets say you are right. It took DECADES for Ford to build a car like thaqt. For Toyota is an everyday thing.

  • @Obamaownswhitesnow

for toyota it is an everyday thing for their cars to accelerate out of control and kill their customers. there were deaths due to this error. gm hasn't had a problem like this. why do you even live here in the us if you are so for sending your money over seas. yeah it is your money and you can do with it what you will but our country should be getting our money. not the foreign countries selling you your death traps.

  • @heresthelastone I have had Toyotas ALL MY LIFE and never had a problem with the acceleration issues some people claimed. Some of those were lies btw. Anyway, Im here in the US and still driving Toyotas. See, the problem with this country is people/emplyees loves MONEY so much they forget that Corporations look out for the same thing. Those corporations dont give a damn about the US economy, they care about their own pockets. (Con't)

  • @heresthelastone Why do you think they want to pay any American $25/$30 an hr if they can pay $10-$12 somewhere else for the same job? Pure CAPITALISM is the problem of the US. It helped create the US but over the years it turned into GREED. Do not point fingers. When you point a finger to someone you have 4 more pointing at you. Talk to the CEOs of those companies and try to convince them to bring the jobs back and for Gods sake in the process they might want to build a decent car.

  • @heresthelastone Its called having the FREEDOM to choose what you want in life. Cramming patriotism down people's throats only irritates them and makes them want to buy foreign and if you only had the choice to buy usa cars, then they wouldn't care if the cars they made were ANY good. Hence, why we need foreign countries to take over and run companies Wall Street crashed and car firms the UAW crashed because they were looking out for their own ends, rather than caring about the customer.

  • @betatalk357 I LOVE THIS COMMENT!!!!! I see it all the time, whenever someone debates me on American vs. Japanese, it is almost always either someone with a Big 3 pickup with a million miles on it & still running like a clock or a shadetree mechanic with an American car who clams that he has never had any trouble with it. Well, of course he has never had any trouble because he can stay on top of the little annoyances before they turn into major problems!!!

  • @landyachtfan79 And THAT is all they ever think about. They don't give a rat's ass that we or our parents/relatives own or HAVE OWNED an American car in the past & had nothing but trouble with it!!!!!

  • @landyachtfan79 Exactly. But new USA cars are designed so no more shadetree mechanics. They'll HAVE TO go to the mechanics. With an import, it's maintenance, service, annual inspection, and drive.

USA cars need a shitload of repair, drive for 2 weeks, back in the shop, the bill will too high to afford it, trade it in and get pennies for it, buy another one and get screwed again, or get so fed up they'll go import and never go back. The Big 3 burned customers, now lost them for life.

  • @heresthelastone Where you spend your money is like voting for what goods you like and what you want produced. Whoever caters to you better gets the most money. In essence, YOU have the sayso in the goods you want. And this patriotism crap is old think. For a while, it was good because everything was good. Key word being WAS. When GREED ran everything, it collapsed, and needed GOOD people to tun it again. Whether domestic or foreign, today's marketplace is all about checks and balances.

  • @heresthelastone Checks and balances allows the marketplace to flex to best suit its current environment, encounter the least amount of losses while bringing the best amount of economic stability, and gives the consumer more buying power, which is vital in generating revenue. The Big 3 took a huge hit and damn near collapsed themselves because they had the mentality of "We will build whatever we like, YOU WILL BUY IT AND LIKE IT." But people don't like boring, unreliable cars, and went imports.

  • @StupidAmerican2 The Cadillac CTS is great on gas for its size and class, low maintenance, good resale value and good looking (although that's a personal opinion so you may not have to agree with this but it's still a great car). The Chevrolet Cruze gets the best gas-powered vehicle fuel economy EPA rating in the US. The GM 3800 V6 (which is found under the hood of many vehicles) is an engine that lives forever. The list goes on and on.

  • im always gonna buy and drive american ive never once had any problems with my american cars

  • @haloslayer78965 That is because you are obviously a Shadetree mechanbecause theyic who has learned to stay on top of the numerous MINOR problems with your American cars before they turn into MAJOR ONES!!!!! Matter of degree does not mean you have not had any!!!!! The rest of us do not have time to waste with having our cars towed into the shop every week because they have broken down or failed to start for the umpteenth time!!!! We drive Hondas & Toyota because we can DEPEND ON THEM!!!!!!!

  • @landyachtfan79 yea have fun with that i honestly dont even care anymore you wanna drive a honda thats ok by me im still going to prefer american cars and yes some of them have problems but so do hondas and toyotas

  • I'm buying Japanese forever , fuck americrap cars

  • buy american cars? pffft dude my neighbor bought an 07 colbalt brand new and now it sounds like the muffler is missing.

  • Man! What a bunch of crap those ugly and cheap american wannabe cars...

  • CHEVY CAMARO,corvette!!!

  • Fuck buying American garbage cars, Japanese cars are much, much better quality, 90 percent of the shit on an American car is made overseas anyway.

  • @ryan9942 agreed Japanese cars are better

  • @ryan9942 Honda is more american than japanese.

  • @ryan9942 That is wrong actually. 75 percent of the vehicle has to be from the parent country (in this case america) or else it cant be called "american". many japanese cars are also built in america, specially all the japanese trucks use american blueprints and are built in the U.S.

your are really contradicting yourself. if american cars would be built 90% overseas then the shitty cars would be the foreign countries that suck not the U.S.

  • I would buy American if they stopped building them in other countries. It's hypocritical to tell me to buy American to support America while they assembly them in other countries because it's cheaper for them. :\

On a lighter note, the new Ford Edge looks pretty sick.

  • I found out that My Ford Fuckus was made in Mexico. I wanted a bigger car antway so I bought a NIce Full Sized American Built Car, Or so I thought

Now I own a Mercury Marquis...made in Canada.

  • @compukenny just cuzz the marquis is built in canada is no big deal...you are still buying it from ford...and the profit of that car stays on american soil ..just like when you bought your focus...it is still ford...and ford's woerld headquater's is dearborn M,I

...you can buy a ford anywere in the world...and the profit still comes home to U.S.A soil

  • @390merc65 You are correct to some degree. My Marquis was built in canada by canadian workers. The focus was built in Mexico by Mexican workers. The american worker needs jobs. Car makers need to be required to build all models sold in the USA to be built in the USA

  • @compukenny yes..your marquis was built in the ST. Thomas plant ,,and so is mine ..i see your point ,and agree to a point ,i am not thrilled some fords are not built in the states , but that being said..at least no matter were you buy a ford world wide..the money comes back home here. to the U.S .but in today's market , the big 3 have a harder time being competitive with working against the U,A W ,,and the imports dont have this issue ..so the big 3 must cut cost somewere to be competitive

  • Respond to this video...something ppl take way out or context.or dont really know the big picture..ford and GM have been in canada for decades,,and only sold vehicles in canada , you eve hear of the pontiac boumont?,or the mercury pick up.these are just a few examples that were built and sold only in canada ..and eve hear of the ford lobo..that is just mexico's version of the ford f 150 and never sold in the U.S .so they take certain parts made there and are sold on american vehicles

  • If i lived in the US and was driving a forign car i woud be ashame! thats like stepping on your own country. I live in Norway and if it was a Norwegian made car i woud buy it to suport my country.

  • @Dieselolds Sure, driving a foreign car is like stepping on your own country. But it should raise an eyebrow to people as to WHY people buy imports. Unfortunately, its like today's murders in America. No matter how many bodies are dropped, no matter how much misery and suffering has occurred, people has become numb and dull to it. After a while, people don't care any more because no one will take care of the problem because they make money off the problem, off of people's suffering.

  • @Dieselolds People buy imports for looks, dependability, performance. Sure, American car companies are starting to pick up the pace, but that's after they lost billions to competition. Because the competition builds cars out of PASSION, NOT PROFITS. There wouldn't be this discussion if American car companies had PASSION.

  • @betatalk357 I think its called exotic, here in Norway american cars are the exotic ones but high import duties makes the american cars up to 3 times more expensive than in the US, so most people buy german or asian cars...

  • @Dieselolds That's another one of my points. Norway's biased against American cars by putting high import duties on them, so you don't REALLY have the freedom to choose, unless you got the cash. But overall, german and asian cars is the most practical: low in taxes, reasonably priced, fuel efficient, popular, stylish, powerful, and lasts a long time. Seriously, most people are tired of having to buy a new car every 5 years; german and asians last 20 or 30 years with a little maintenance.

  • @Dieselolds Besides, forcing people to buy a particular product and not have a variety isn't freedom. That's a dictatorship. People should have the freedom to make a decision for themselves what they want in life and let them have it.

  • I'm not loyal to any particular auto company. My '92 Dodge diesel was made to last and built in Detroit, and it was one of the last true pickip trucks, so I'll drive it forever. As for new domestics, I hope I never need to buy one. All the Ram HDs are now made in Mexico. Chevy trucks have IFS so they're no good, and I don't really ever want to buy a Ford. If Dodge would bring truck production back to the states I'd buy one but otherwise no domestic grabs my interest.

  • the pontiac gto is made in melbourne australia!!!!!!

  • Overall, American cars are dismal. There is no substitute for the consistent poor quality delivered by American car manufacturers.

  • PEOPLE WANT TO GET FUCKED DONT BE STUPID BUY IMPORTS SPECIALY TOYOTA LOL THERE THE OLDEST OF THE IMPORTS AND BUILD BETTER CARS GM BANKRUPT CHRYSLER BANKRUPTS TWICE IMPORTS NEVER BANKRUPT NO HANDOUTS BUY AMERICAN YOUR A FUCKING IDIOT GM RADIOS BUILT IN MEXICO LOL

  • You need to be encouraged to buy American. That says loads !

  • @cashw55 LMAO FUNNY HOW A VIPER GETS ITS ASS KICKED by a fucking Nissan with a 4 banger so much for your viper lol

  • @WildMrECoyote American car lovers always but down 4 cylinder cars which just proves lack of knowledge.

  • @cashw55 You have a point.

  • People will never understand the fact that Our trucks are the Workforce of the world the fact that our Assembly line supercars are better then HAND crafted ferraris and the fact that my 66' dart with straight six with a three on the tree trans gets 28 mpg with the gears and conservative driving

  • @ChopTopMopar Bullshit! Hilux is the workforce of the world! Only america buys those american trucks... because everywhere else will not touch american motors.

  • @ProjectVRD No actually the real workforce of the World is International Cummins Deere Catapillar.. wanna try again?

  • @ChopTopMopar Amen to that buddy!!

  • European rapes all. End of Arguement.

  • hah these foreign tin can buyers should just leave the country. They aren't going to wake up until there's a real threat hanging over their heads and are thankful for what this country does. To much freedom - this is what we get? Give me a break. If it weren't for American cars, your little sardine cans wouldn't be around. Plus take a look at these foreign cars! They're all the same! It's like a fucking communist in the auto business.

  • @tiger17xoxo Couldn't have said it better myself!

  • @tiger17xoxo What do think the American car industry is like? Can u honestly tell me the difference between a Caddy Seville, a Pontiac Grand Prix, a Buick LaSabre, or a Chrysler Sebring? They're all the same, too.

  • @tiger17xoxo And instead of yelling about foreign car buyers, u should pull your head out of your ass and find out WHY people buy imports. They want style, speed, performance, reliability, good price. Not a boring, slow, ugly, unreliable, overpriced, bad customer service car. And even with the Big 3's turnaround, they still can't match imports for what they provide and are still way behind on the times.

  • @betatalk357 If I ever gave a fuck, I'd shave my nuts

Tuck my dick in between my legs and cluck

  • @tiger17xoxo Well, Eminem, fiddle with your dick and get clucking....

  • Buy German.

  • @GTASRUSAHIVE44 swedish car that was owned by GM when the video was made

  • Buy american! Support american jobs!

  • @Hummers222 Maybe if americans didnt build the most unreliable shit on the planet, people would buy it then.

  • @xXTrueSShotX They actually don't. The latest reports show that American cars overall do better than Japanese and European brands. So unreliable? I think not! You are just blind to the fact that American cars have been improving a lot in the last few years.

  • @Hummers222 Yes i do know they have been improving, they arent worthless pieces of shit anymore BUT Why didnt America build them better before? Because they didnt give a shit about reliability they used to built them Cheap fast and ready for sale! Cheap and Fast = Unreliable. Now America thinks "Oh noes!" We are almost bankrupt, maybe we should start building reliable cars!

Oh and believe me. No american car is EVER going to be better then Japan. Japan is 10 years ahead of America.

  • @xXTrueSShotX if Japan is 10 years ahead of American car companies, then how come all the American Trucks are rated better than the Japanese. Also let me know why the Ford Fusion is rated best in its segment.

  • @Hummers222 Because Japan doesn't a shit about building trucks.

  • @idontcare80 Japan is working on trucks now. Tacomas are eating on Rangers while Tundras are working hard on taking over F150s.

  • @Obamaownswhitesnow Working hard? Tundra's don't know the meaning of "working hard". Most Tundra (and Nissan Titans) buyers will tell you they know it's not a workers truck. A recall concerning rusty frames certainly doesn't help. The frame is what takes all the load and Toyota certainly doesn't know how to design one. Tundra sales went down in June, unlike all the other American trucks.

  • @TheAmericanAutos the tundra is a good truck. But i don't think it is as good as toyotas older trucks back in the day they built. Rust was a problem with some of them but it wasn't an issue wit the the metal used. It was an issue with the protective coatings underneath it. those suppliers where from American vendors need i remind you. and as for it's frame. It's fine and good enough for most work done in the field. Nobody is going to use it like demonstrated in those dramatic advertisements.

  • @EpiDemic117 Toyota has experience making small trucks but they have no experience making larger trucks that's why the Tundra isn't competitive. Don't blame it on the American vendors. I don't know where they get it from but it's Toyota's responsibility not the vendors. Why do you blame the big three when something goes wrong and you blame others when it's Toyota? What's the most work done in the field? Moving 2x4's or gravel? It's good enough for that but there're much more demanding tasks.

  • @Hummers222 American trucks maybe stronger than Japanese ones but that doesn mean they are more reliable or better trucks. I have had Tacomas and Rangers and Tacomas are way better than Rangers.

  • @Obamaownswhitesnow American trucks are very reliable; can't argue with that. There are many 70's and 80's American trucks still working everyday with no problems. What is a "better" truck? In my opinion it's a truck that works harder and lasts as long or longer than the other it's being compared to and American trucks are certainly more reliable (since the Tundras rust and it doesn't have even have history) and they are tougher.

  • @TheAmericanAutos American trucks were reliable. I mean....there are several older models that did good in the past. What happen to them in the 80's, 90's and early 2000's? I have no idea. In other subject, I really admire the way you try so hard to defend the American car industry. You must be getting paid very well. Still...you guys have a long way to go.

  • @Obamaownswhitesnow American trucks have been reliable through the 80's, 90's and early 2000's. I gave the 70's and 80's trucks surviving and working until now as an example because that's 2-3 decades of work but 90's and early 2000's surviving until now is, although great, no major feat yet. I don't work in the auto industry and never have. Cars are my greatest passion so I feel very strongly about all believes that are associated with the auto industry.

  • @Hummers222 Japanese trucks are away ahead when we talk about RELIABILITY. The US Forces in Afghanistan are using Toyotas Tacomas back there, thats all I have to say. If the Fusions are worth it Im happy for Ford. They were sitting onn the TRUNK for years behind Toyota, Nissan and Honda.

  • @StupidAmerican2 wat r u talking abouit, thier not using toyota, thats money invstment for iraqis

  • @StupidAmerican2 There are many American trucks still working very hard on construction sites and farms everyday that are from the 70's and 80's. American trucks are very reliable, can't really argue with that.

  • @TheAmericanAutos Ford makes the Best half ton trucks in the U.S.

  • @StupidAmerican2 I'm not sure where you got that they are using Tacomas but if they are using them, it would only be used in transportation because the military doesn't modify Tacomas for combat. It would be very costly in terms of money and man-power to ship several Ford Rangers over there and ship them back for maintenance and parts.

  • @xXTrueSShotX Brother, Im with you 150%!! American car companies have been improving but they didnt give a shit before because they knew most of us are patriotic freaks. When they figured japs where winning the war they started working their ass off looking for to build better cars. I know they are trying hard to get there but still.....Im with Japs. The day I see mayority of American cars truly ruling segments years in a row then I might think about going back.

  • @Obamaownswhitesnow No, every Automakers hates change. The Toyota Corolla is about 6 years old inside out except for the body (much older than the Focus and Cruze). History (and the present) shows how much the auto industry hates change. American companies were very good at building large cars and engines but all of a sudden people wanted small cars. They hoped they would go back to large cars eventually but didn't happen so they had to quickly develop small cars to compete.

  • @TheAmericanAutos i disagree. They've been changing rapidly over the years with much more advanced chassis and fabrication methods. The thing though that costs the most is the utilities, development and setup of a new line of vehicles. it's not cheap to re engineer and completely redo an entire vehicle. That's why when they have model refreshes. They tweak things sligtly improving them. but we don't see much of that right now especially how alot has changed over the course of a decade.

  • @EpiDemic117 The manuf. technology changes rapidly to decrease cost and improve quality but car technology develops slowly due to the large cost associated with new developments (like you said) and the uncertainty about whether or not people will like and buy it. The Corolla is all unchanged and still even has a 4spd auto. Toyota is running in financial issues so development slows down but no one blames them. They only blame the big 3 when development slows down because of financial issues.

  • @TheAmericanAutos

"They only blame the big 3 when development slows down because of financial issues." That was actually their fault from the beginning. They had cars on the lot that they didn't upgrade, Some for at least a DECADE. And alot of them where crap. Especially in the economy segment. The fit and finish couldn't compare to most other cars out there in the market. GM made alot of bad corrupt decision. They had HORRIBLE execs.

  • @EpiDemic117 The engine in the Cavalier/Cobalt was improving much quicker than that in the Corolla (Check hp and torque numbers vs EPA). The Cavalier had ABS and ESC before the Corolla. I'm sorry, which wasn't getting updated for at least a decade? They had cheaper interiors (I'll admit when they are worse) but they were cheaper to buy.

  • @TheAmericanAutos nobody cares about the corolla. a better and more comparable car is the civic.
