It might have seemed that way from the video, but it was because like 7 people worked there, and he didn't get a chance to see 'the queens' ... and kept missing the tricks....

I performed a lot for Blackpool 09 dude, loads was filmed of me performing and flourishing... but I didn't want it in there.. cause I had a limited edition pdf coming out about a month later...

My favourite affordable decks would most likely be (in no particular order): Tally Ho Circle Backs, Bicycle Fan Backs, Arrco US Regulation, STUD, and even Bicycle Rider Backs. Any deck that will get the job done, is fine by me! :)

In Leeds they have a Subway in The Queens Hotel. We spent ages looking around for something with TIVO written in big letters on the side of it.

Hi, crozboz! It's really funny you should mention Leeds! In April of 2006 I went there with my dad, and it was the first time I met up with Jordan. Jordan happened to live at the Queens hotel at the time, and we filmed a performance of an early version of Jordan's Queens handling, (VGDN) right outside the entrance part of the hotel. It made for the most perfect opening shot ever, panning from "The Queens" to the performance. Who are you and where do you appear in the Ruskin?

At 0:55, I'm using red Wynn Casino playing cards.

I just checked the other times, they're all Wynn Playing cards.

They can be obtained by searching around the internet, I got mine from Dan and Dave Buck, although I'm pretty sure they've run out by now.

I believe it's just a pretty straightforward sandwich effect, with the little "Erik touch" applied to it. In the fashion the "Vernon touch" improved a sleight or effect; the "Erik touch" just makes it weirder.

No, actually I was taught the move in 2006 by a good friend of mine who had the pleasure of meeting Chad Nelson himself. I've since been using it, and it is certainly a beautiful sleight with many applications. Chad will be releasing a DVD in the upcoming weeks, titled "SURFACED". It will teach the Clip Shift in detail (along with some of its applications) and will be sold over at Dan and Dave's website.

You must remember that it is down to personal preference. If someone wishes to flourish and do magic, let them - after all, it's their practice and their life. Often flourishes can be a good way to gain dexterity and flowing movement (which is how I use them). I feel it's wrong that you say "every magician these days focus on flourishes more than tricks" as that is certainly untrue -- at least with me.

I'll have to take a lot of blame for the video being as flourish-oriented as it is. I - like Jordan, do mainly magic. The sole purpose of card flourishes for me - is, that they look nice on film. That being said, I feel uncomfortable in front of a camera, and doing magic effects for a camera - even with verbal presentations, I still feel won't quite justify the effect. So, where I'm going with this - is, that in a video set like this, card flourishes tend to work better than magic
