  • If your gonna rep your ancestors then get it right! They were very hard working, caring, but most importantly MODEST. I know alot of black people who are more country than yall. They don't like these thugs no more than you do. Driving a truck all jacked up with mudders and a rebel flag does not make you a rebel or even country for that matter. Come get your ass in the hay field with me and we will see who's country. "Representing all true Southerners" and my appologies to Banjomountain-nice job!

  • If they did happen to make it they got a crappy piece of land and a broken down used up government mule. Ok, rednecks I am proud to be Southern. I can play a mean Banjo, Mandolin, Fiddle, and Guitar. I dip Skoal, help my Granny can, work in the garden, ride horses, fish, hunt, and all other sorts of good oleboy stuff. I love it but I dont go round boasting the rebel flag and saying I hate them niggers just so I can look like a re neck. WTH is wrong with you fools. Theres bad ones in every race!

  • This is ridiculous, (all these posts that is) I am as country as it gets but I tell you that it makes me sick what todays so called rednecks have done to the image of the Confederate Flag. It also makes me sick that black people have fell for one of the greatest manipulations our government ever concieved! The war was not about slavery. All the black people that went to fight for the North and their promises were put on the front lines. Do you know how they engaged in battle?

  • is this the shorts and trainers convention....? nice playing....

  • I love the rebel flag guitar what kind is it or do you know?

  • @owsleyforkmusic I was told that it came from some cheap chinese manufacturer. There's more than one guitar company that makes a rebel flag guitar. Google it, shouldn't be hard to find.

  • Jam on!

  • Ow... You need a fiddle in there :-). Would really spice things up. I'm not sure Cripple Creek is suited for fiddle though..

  • It sure is. A fiddle goes with everything!

  • Good job , Thats what music. is all about . !!!

  • Nice job Banjo..I have a nice banjo but just can not get the rolls down. Will stick to my scratcher I guess...CUDOS. And that Guitar is awesome!

  • That Mandoline player looks so bored... :)

  • Well done lads!!! Fair play tyes!

  • Sweet confederate guitar. :D

  • Nah

  • It's called southen heritage and there's a lot of folk who are proud of it, he's just one of them. It is an attention grabbing guitar, though.

  • i have to be honest, when i see the confederate flag I think of slavery and the word "redneck" comes to mind, but honestly that's just my reaction whenever I see it on the back of a pickup truck or something like that

  • @Banjomountain

People should be proud of who they are.

    Well said.

  • Well you're an ignorant little cuss aren't you?

You're obviously not from the south and you shouldn't talk about what you don't know. Almost every front yard in small towns you see a Confederate flag. You're the dumbass for not knowing that it's the culture that's still alive, not the civil war you ignorant fool.

  • Not black, but you have to imagine that espousing a flag from a culture that enslaved black people, faught for it and lost. (and to be fair, accepted their losses), continuing to raise that flag is a spit in the eye. One of the few just wars in my opinion. Lincoln's my favorite US president, favorite of my kids. Guy who stood up for what's right and paid for it with his life.

  • There's no spit in the eye. All the blacks today in the United States have never been enslaved, nor have I owned slaves. They remember their culture with having their own TV channel and saying they've had some odd hundred years of oppression (when they, themselves have never been enslaved), and I remember my culture by raising stars and bars in my front yard. Nothing is wrong with that.

  • @codymax21 hey cock munch listen up cause there is alot of southerners who love there heritage and hell yea some of r redneck but we are a single huge family u don't fuck with!

  • @codymax21 See it's idiots like you that don't know about the rebel flag and just associate it with racism. And talking about raciest your being racist because you are judging him on a picture on his guitar and you know NOTHING about him.

  • @codymax21 shut up lol

  • Dude nice COnfederate guitar!

  • Great job you guys did on those tunes,

    keep them coming!

    Like the confederate guitar!

  • ok,ok

  • You're never gonna get girls playing this kind of music. Switch to Rock.

  • You'll get country girls...

    And they're the best kind.

  • Fuck Yeah!

  • hell yes, country girls are the best

  • The hell you won't.

  • Real musicians don't play for the girls.

  • Nah they don't, but they always seem to come along with it haha

  • yeah u will just listen to hurricane teen

  • Yes, he is apparently bored .

Oh, eine Deutscher liebt diese Musik auch!!!

  • Ahh, that's good to hear.

I heard a few banjos myself in the black forest when I was stationed there.

  • Der Mandoline-Spieler langweilte sich haha

  • But... Why does one of the guys have a Confederate guitar?

  • 1)He wanted to buy one.

    2)This is the South.

  • my favorite bluegrass video on youtube!!!

  • Thank You! I loved jamming with this group of pickers.

  • great jam fellows.

  • Jack...Looks like a pretty good jam...I noticed Scott Morgan picking the flat-top to the right of the fellow with the rebel flag guitar. Mr. Morgan is a fabulous picker!

    Kyle

  • LoL

  • Quite enjoyed that mate learning banjo over here in England.

  • i bet the 2nd banjo gets the gig

  • Looks like fun. Someday I will be able to play my banjo good enough to jam along with others. How long have you been playing? Mike.

  • About 5 years or so. Cripple Creek was the first song I learned to play. I picked up Old Joe Clark a little on later.

  • At least everyone else was having a great time!

  • That's right!

  • Man, can the mandolin player look any more miserable? I thought jams were supposed to be fun?

  • You're not the first person that has noticed that. I don't know why he wasn't more cheerful. There were several other mandolin players at that jam, you just can't see them in the video. These jams are lots of fun, I don't know what was up with that guy.

  • Great jam session!
