I actually looked up the Kings of Leon's version of this song, and it doesn't come close. The sadness you convey borders on anguish, and I agree that if you work on vocal fry that it would add to this piece - it would push the feeling over the top. An EXCELLENT piece of music! I hate to be a critic, but the way you keep your eyes shut all the time annoys me. You lose your connection with your piano, your song, yourself, and your audience when you close your eyes, even for a moment.

When I watch people with their eyes closed, it makes me feel like they're in their own little world instead of singing to the audience.
