  • Yeah...I shared this on FB. Well said...

  • Every human on this planet is mixed. I want to be identified as a person or spiritual being. Race divides people and spreads deception , abolish it.

  • @NineteenPercent: I should point out that I understand that you aren't criticizing black people who are mixed and decide to call themselves black. Rather, you are challenging societal perceptions that demand clear-cut designations such as black, white, Latino, etc.

  • @NineteenPercent: Some food for thought: Check out The Root's "Why Biracial Means Black." The article posits that checking the designation "black" or "African-American" even if you're mixed-race does not necessarily mean that you're denying your European, Native American, etc. heritage, because being black is essentially being mixed. While it's definitely true that we shouldn't pigeonhole, there's a legitimate counterargument to yours.

  • @soojb7799

If African American or Black is essentially being mixed, then why not consider yourself mixed or Biracial instead of Black or African American

Good Points In The Vid.

  • I Agree, There Is No Such Thing As Black And White People. There Are Different Shades Of Brown And Different Shades Of Red.

"white people" (Edomites, Idumeans, Romans, Greeko's, Greecians, Caucasians; which derive from the Caucus Mountains. *I'm mixed too though.

"black people" (3 tribes of Israel)

    "latinos" (9 tribes of Israel)

"Africans *the other black people*" (Hammites)

    "Asians" (Japhites)

Through Time We've Been Mixed So Like You Said, I'm Mixed, I Just Live By My Israel Side.

  • @AVesselofGod

correction: *"latinos AND Indians" (9 tribes of Israel)

  • i know what you mean its strange,im white and b/c your skin is brown i would consider you black, but after seeing this i see that could be wrong :)

  • @xXMichealJXx

Everyone who has brown skin isn't African dumbass

  • u r sooo fun to watch! from what videos ive seen of u so far we've shared the same views but im not really good at debating but its like u put the thoughts n opinions in my head out into words that make sense lol....n ive actualy learned some new words like tautological for example. love watchn u n ur videos haha ur so witty keep up the great work! <3

  • I know EXACTLY what you're saying and get your message. I'm multi-racial and I get tired of people telling me that I need to choose. I'm Brazilian/Japanese/American/Native American, so why do I need to just choose one, when I'm all four. I've encountered some people telling me I need to choose just one, which is b.s.

  • a friend shared this video on facebook. and i quickly found that the more you talked, the more attracted i got towards you. this is aside from your initial beauty btw, which is quite stunning. anyways, just thought that you should know that. your words made me feel funny on the inside, in a good way.

  • wow i really thought u were hispanic u look very puerto rican ^_^...im soup too!!! lol im actually puerto rican, black/italian/native american/and sum white coz of slavery =( lol but i understand...ppl always want me to choose but i look more puerto rican than any thing my last name my first and middle name his spanish so it makes it harder for me to identify...and i understand as a mixed breed that ppl get mad if u choose one or the other...its annoying..ima human damn it!!

  • If you identify with your white parent more, black people will say you're "trying to act white". If you identify with your black side, racist whites will call you a "race traitor" or a "n---- lover". All a steaming pile of bullshit. How do people even have time to think about this?

  • I love you! and I love soup...your amazing

  • what if your brown and white?

  • I dont follow your logic. That shit be white as hell.

  • if you were soup i would suck you up all day until there was nothing left.

  • She said it best, "I'm not black and I'm not white". She's doesn't consider herself part of her mother's race nor part of her father's race. She's mixed! White/black mixed people are a minority within a minority. They are 0.009% of the US population. They very rarely mate with each other. They usually have kids with someone white or someone black and their offspring gets absorded into one race or the other. They're mixed for one generation. Let her be.mixed, Dang!

  • Yeah in America you wouldn't believe some people who are considered "black"

Look up Soledad O'Brien, Rashida Jones, Vanessa Williams, Vin Diesel, Jennifer Beals, Malcolm Gladwell, and Colin Powell, all are considered "black" by American Standards

  • @gatheringleaves every one is mixed but vanessa williams shes just a normal light skin black woman...there are ppl that are light skinned with out being a closer mix...most of the light skin ppl are light skinned because of slavery and marring other light skinned folks...that does happen

  • not gunna lie, i watched this video cuz u said u were soup... turned out to be very insightful, =) i enjoid it even tho there was no soup

  • Everything that you said makes total sense...You are completely right!

  • Wow, you're very pretty!

  • Am I Celtic or Anglo-Saxon, or Anglo-Celtic, or perhaps I'm actually Norman... damn I JUST DON'T KNOW!

Seriously, I can't believe how fixated Americans are on race.

You are very beautiful. Your look actually reminds me of some Egyptian neighbors we had when I was younger. Also, Mauritians, but they are a totally mixed bunch - one extended family is all over the place and nobody cares...

  • call yourself what you desire. why is race soooooo important to some people??? please get over it. iam a mixed race woman but black is why i go bu because i choose to. and please spare me with "you identify" with blacks. really?? i do??? to many i do not but anyway. keep doin you girl. peace.

  • Yeah it really is LOL

  • Thank you Skullcrusherer, finally someone with some common sense

  • huh, cool. it's kind of weird because im biracial and for some reason i dont think of myself as black AND white, i think of myself as neither, like basically a new race all together..maybe because i look more black, but i live in a community with pretty much all white people?

  • darn someone beat me to the Puerto Rican joke !

  • Youre PuertoRican lmao!

  • Chicken Noodle Soup & Hoodie analogies are somewhat off he mark. As humans we are allot more complicated than that, hoodies & soup don't live in societies and have a notion of politics. Im "dual heritage" (British born Caribbean) but I am comfortable & proud of the label "Black", and I'm golden brown not even the rubbish pale kind, I fucking GLOW like the sun! like some radiant GOD!! and I still use black to describe me, it's no biggie.

  • I'm an "other" person...that's the box my daddy told me to check.

  • wow you had a gay message, I thought you were just dumb LOL

  • biracial........so your a bisexual raciest?:P (just kidding) :U

  • You love your hoody? you love your black boyfriends too don't you? And you love how the black dudes look in music videos too don't you? You think that being with a black dude will be like being in a music video don't you? You found out that black dudes cheat like crazy cuz of the things that i just mentioned didn't you? You found out you got herpes didn't you? and you love the money that I work hard for and that you recieve in Food Stamps and Welfare.....

  • Very well said! ^_^

  • Whatever the mix of your genetic background, the result is certainly pretty to behold. If you were older I'd date you.

I have Soux and Cherokee as well as french, British and Dutch. So I guess I'm mixed as well.

  • what is your race if u dont mind me asking

  • I am a mixed person who now (when asked) describes myself as biracial, but I admit that there have been times when I just say I am black, not because I am denying my white side, but because sometimes it is just easier as I then don't have to explain how I am mixed.

I can also remember when the term used to be half cast, such a horrible term. Black just became easier and to me it sounded better.

  • @MDefsquad9 you're so wrong how can yu be a black person that is mixed? Yu can't can't be a mixed black if you're mixed you're mixed period. Maybe what you should say is im a mixed african american, even the african part of the sentence don't make sense actually a mixed american would be more accuarate to say.

  • so are you black ? Or are you mixed and only identify with "latinos", hilarious.... damn you really gotta hate a race to denounce it in yourself.

  • You mean like someone who says they are 100% black when they have wavy hair, lite eyes, or lite hair?

Or do you only mean when someone who is biracial or triracial (that one involves many generations) says they aren't 100% black.

  • good video.

  • Hi, I think you are so cute. The way you articulate opinions, state facts mixed in conjecture. Straight/gay, black or white, dating, maturity you cover the whole gambit with it.

  • Great video

  • The first 45 seconds of this video made me wonder if the color was off on my monitor, LOL!

  • You ARE a great person.

  • beautiful lips

  • nice lips

  • Instead of trying to classify ourselves with being black and white, why doesn't everyone just notice we're all the same? Because people are too proud of their heritage. There should be no black, no white- only human.

  • that's nice but impossible people will alway feel the need ot seperate themselve some how by race or ancestory, where they live, height you name it, and people will make groups.

  • amen!

  • YOU ROCK !

  • @NineteenPercent

You don't look Black, White nor Grey. You look Native American.

  • im not biracial im multiracial..I consider myself a black man that is mixed..haha how you like that?..even tho I dont have the dominant black features...

  • i look and say you are black

  • Spanish Speakers can call themselves white if they look black or black if they look white, I really don't care. They can say whatever they want just don't call themselves Latin because that they aren't. Latin isn't a race, it's more than a language, it was an ancient tribe of that consisted of the Romans. There were many tribes of Rome. So saying you are Latins is a misnomer. Calling themselves Latins is just plain ignorant!

  • @GlitterPride300

latino is short for Latin Americno. It's a reference to anyone of any race from a latin speaking country on the American continent. They are people who identify more with a culture than a race.

  • you dont look like you have any black in you.

  • i love this video

im black and european. im more black tho so whenever i explain my race i say black first. i look more european but im mostly black so EVERYONE flipps the fuck out when i say "oh im black and european" its like if your gonna deny my race. its soo stupid and then they assume that my dad is straight from africa! and im like um not hes from ohio.

  • I don't think this analogy or theory is correct, my whole familly is Lightskinned, and we're all light, light mom's light dad's, were just all light. 45 of us are lightskined we have 6 dark skinned people, and they aren't even dark in comparison to most dark people they're light milk chocolate.

  • @BanginBody1985 This video has nothing to do with skin color.

  • no this is not a theory is a fact get it straight, she is completely correct yu r wrong black aint no race there is three races mongoloid negriod, and caucasoid and she aint negroid cuz she not pitch black she dont got foul lips neither got big flat nose

  • that excludes most people who call themselves black.

  • @drgangster809n

You dont know enough about the Negroid race. The Caucasoid race is an agglomeration of different groups of people, the largest race. It includes anyone who may have conquered whites or had advanced civilizations. The Negroid race is pretty specific to Africa, but it includes all brown and black african peoples, with slim and wide features. Go to Africa self hating dominican, go to WEST AFRICA and see. There is a strong relationship between West African languages and European.

  • @drgangster809n

For example, in many african languages the word for water is "wata". There are other similiarites besides that one, Igbo is a good example of a language that shares alot in common with Proto European languages.

  • @BanginBody1985

that makes you mixed, not black

  • @BanginBody1985 I think you mean to say "Bitch YOU'RE black".

  • Anyone who tries to tell you you're just black and white don't listen to them, you are a bi-racial person or hispanic because that's how you look, and all these black supremacists who say you're just black are psychotic don't listen to a word they say. There are no people like you in Africa unless they're mixed and just because someone has two light-skinned black parents and looks white doesn't mean they are black

  • then there are probably indians and native americans that are black too right.

  • @BanginBody1985 why are you sooooo f-ing ignorant. why are you calling her a b****. i'm so tired of ignorant black, ghetto people like you. i hope you stay in the hood all your life. you don't belong in civilzed society. this had nothing to do with color, it's about race. go kill yourself b/c nobody gives a shit what you think!

  • this girl is brilliant, hodgetwins getting it twisted, that nikka doesnt no what he talking bout, and like this girl said i have a similar theory, if yu mix a red and blue paint yu not getting just red or just blue yu r getting purple!!!

  • people are pigmented colors you know.

  • you're pretty, greetings from Romania!

  • Wow, your father tried to make you choose. He should have thought about that before he made you. I think people should think long & hard about having mixed kids. People need to realize that the kids won't look like you and will probably not want to be associated with your race like the lady in this vid. As she said there's a lot of biracial like this. Do you want your own kid to be like "Im not one of you". If this will bother you, DONT MAKE MIX KIDS. If want this is ok with you, then HAVE THEM.

  • You're not Black lady, you're WHITE. Be proud.

Mixed people is fantasy, some of them look black, some white. CHOOSE>

  • race is stupid, skin color, and hair were simply survival mechanisms depending on region. but since america is so focused on race. wooohoooo i'm mixed too. :-) hey soupy. your hot. you know it.haha good video

  • i get u girl im soup too

  • you are black ... and your are white ... and you are not black ... and you are not white .... and you are you ...

  • I am a black man of mixed ancestry (Ethiopian, Hebrew, Choctaw, Comanche, French and Tanzanian). Notice!!! I did not say African American...I said black...the truth is that 90 percent of black people , with more than a hundred year of ancestry in the Americas, are at least tri-racial. So I can understand so-called "mixed people" not calling themselves African American...but black is the original name for the "mixed" people of African decent.

  • Actually, not true at all. Most mulattos had to get accustomed to being called Black when Jim Crow came into effect.

To the lady in the video. You are just a beautiful woman. Period.

  • Im sorry but you are the one that is wrong. the word black to describe African born in the Americas of mixed blood was used as far back as the 1500s. If you'll go back and study some of the journal and/or essay about colonial life in the 1500's you'll se that full blood Africans where called Africans. but the mixed African were called black. To my knowledge mulatto has always been a derogatory term.....but i do agree -the Lady is Beautiful.

  • Feel free to give a source. Gens de Color were clearly not identified as Black. 1500's Africans were called Negroes. The term Black didn't even exist yet. And Mulatto varied in usage. I think other terms were more popular. There was a nascent sense of one droppism coming from the north though.

  • Gens de Color - French " people of color". It can refer to creoles of color with Latin blood, and certain other free blacks. Use French West Indian, prior to the abolition of slavery. In the Latin, the word Niger means Black. This word became the noun, Negro (Black person) in English, and simply the color Black in Spanish. In Colonial America the word "Niger or Black" came first the others given racial names are just variations or mispronunciations. reference- any good AMERICAN history book

  • In Jamaican slave records, full blooded Africans were listed as Africans, other black people were listed as creole because of having some white ancestry. Bi-racials were listed as mulatto, quadroon, sambos, etc

  • Being mixed is good I guess. Just don't let it go to your head. Not saying you are. But just a friendly reminder.

  • lols Ur beautifull mami And I agree Im a mixed person!!!!!

  • here is a social issue you can ponder. why is it that kids from black and white parents call themselves mixed and bi-racial when the mother is white. Before you said your father was the black one, i knew it. If you had a black mother chances are she wouldn't be talking that bi-racial nonsense. during jim crow when blacks couldn't get a descent job due to the color of their skin. It was fair skin blacks that had to pass as white to get good jobs. notice i didn't say bi-racial, nor did they.

  • They knew they were black even if it didn't show in their skin color. during slavery you so called bi-racial people were just called mulatto or high yellow niggas. It's funny that after 400 years of slavery, no black person with white genetics was ever called bi-racial. This is a new phenomenon. There is an old saying that you are what the klan say you are. so all of these swirls who are darker than me but call themselves bi-racial, stop. see who calls themselves biracial, bet ma is white.

  • She Dont Look Like She Got Black In Her Or Any Features, She Look Like A Asian And Mexican, Im Black

  • i know what you mean. I'm mixed as well, my father is black and mom white. it's just funny to me when people say "you're just black". no? my mom is white...thus I am half, kthx.

/sigh. it pisses me off lol.

  • Comment removed

  • you look like you got most of your dads genes, you know we get most from our fathers? i like the sweater analogy.

  • i'm guessing you've seen her dad.

  • I'm guessing you have nothing better to do than comment on a comment

  • If I saw you in real life, I would've guessed you were Puerto Rican.....

  • @Tompkinshipster: A lot of people do. It usually depends on if my hair is straight or curly that day.

When I was younger people used to just start speaking Spanish to me. Weird.

  • yeah, i'm hispanic and have many family members that look like you.

  • Comment removed

  • doesn't she have white features too?

  • That creates problems. Basically all African Americans are "MIXED". Good luck finding a "real" African/Black person in the USA. They may be 1% of the population

  • Lol...what happened to the term mulatto?

That was better than making people pick. If your mulatto...everyone knows what you are.

  • How bout we noooot use the term mulatto... yea... look that up...

  • I dont see what's wrong with it and I had looked it up previously. Its a good term because it refers to a mixed person, mulatto, that's what she is.

  • @Quiteness yeah a nigger lol

  • @Quiteness true bro but isnt calling someone a mulatto offensive?? if i were mix black/white i would simply say im a mulatto or mix

  • @communismkills1

So u mean to tell me that in EVERY other romance language they are called mulattos but ONLY in english is it offensive? Its just a stupid hang up....150 yrs ago they probably wished they were white and were offended for not being called such.

  • @Quiteness here in the US some people dont like the term mulatto, i know man its dumb, those spanish that created the racial names for example mestizo, castizo they are pretty smart

  • Heckz yeah were biracial people!!! (im black and white not one more than the other) nice vid!!! :)

  • What sucks is discrimination.

  • FUCK RACISM N RACIST

  • agreed i hate when people of one side of my race try to just say im this race. Its so stupid. I tell people Im asian.white, hispanic, and arab (both my parents are mixed). Hispanic people will then say oh so ur hispanic! Same with Asians and so on. Sigh.

  • Race, when applied to humans, is merely a construct of the human mind created to further divide us. Being mixed myself, (Black/White/Moroccan/Chinese), I know how you feel.

  • Comment removed

  • :)

but i think u sorta boxed u in again by calling urself soup and mixed person all the time .. :/

  • Comment removed

  • EXCELLENT video! I can relate to everything you just said. I think I will favorite this video.

    ~Vince

  • 4.06 Irish word was nice touch

  • Ha Ha I agree with you I am I rish and I hate it when people call me white I dont have black skin but im not white thats for the saxons! ha ha !

  • this is good. i am also black/white (+ little native) and apparently i look latino. one day this black guy was trying to talk to me and was like, "hey mami!". it was too funny. i was like, "what's up bro?"

  • I like you! It's nice when you hear someone that... MAKES SENSE! Keep it up ;)

  • GREAT VIDEO!

    MUCH APPRECIATED!

  • Love it.

You spoke some truth, most def.

  • TRUTHH! i love being mixxedd :)

  • yeah im mixed. i dont feel black or white but i never thought and dont think its too big of a deal. noone really calls me black or white but when they do i dont really care. are people really mad about this?

  • I thought you were latina. It doesnt matter to me. I like your thoughts. Rock on. XD

  • I am pregnant with a biracial child....I hope he/she has your attitude on race issues.

  • that is some HOT chicken noodle soup

  • oh your right....im guatemalan and mexican.....people always want me to be mexican!!! i want to be both!!!

  • AMEN! I'm bi-racial. Period. I don't care what I identify with more. I am not white. I am not black. I'm both.

  • sorry i didnt mean to send that video... but i love your perspective on the videos... people are ignorant and want to label other people... favorited and love shown... u got 100 support from me!!!

  • thank you!!!

    let people be people

    sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

  • IF you have on drop OF black BLOOD then sorry hun your BLACK?!?!

  • NineteenPercent, I'm going to tell you what no other black person may want you to hear.

The truth is that black people want as many success stories as they can possibly have. Lets look at Tiger Woods and Michael Jackson.

One is half black but the other's full black. They embrace Tiger because he makes them look good. They excomunicate Michael because he makes them look bad.

It's really that simple for most of the black community. I think it's basically the same for whites too.

  • wow good job mama that was awsome.

  • Lovin this video, so far...only at 3 minutes.

  • .... with a soda on the side. lol

  • @jkristwife: a diet soda, please. With lime.

  • great video, and i like your chicken noodle soup analogy..lol

  • Black or white is a socio-political term and does not refer to physical make up in our society. Yes you are bi-racial physically but I mean, most black americans with roots to slavery are all mixed up, that's why we don't look like Africans. No offense, because I totally love you, but you can call yourself whatever you want but in America at large we are black unfortunately for those like yourself who want to be identified otherwise.

  • I think the belong to the race of people called "intelligent".

    Great vids.

    I'm subbing.

  • yo sun i never realized it but you are grey oh shit oh shit your grey..... i wonder what you kiss like. :)

  • I know what Bi-racial people are... HOT! Like you.

  • im black and white.

  • coming from another mixed person im totally with you

  • So... you're saying you're gray?

  • I want to blindfold myself with your headband and have a boxing match using large dinner rolls as gloves.

    Because it's win.

Now, I will make typical comments saying YOU'RE BLACK on your vids...for the lulz...because it's win.

    Pretty much.

    Biracial sounds corny.

I like black...even though my skin is not black...it's...umm sand or some shit.

  • i'd say blacks and whites get along just fine these days... look at how many "gray" people are in today's society...

  • I don't know why but your blog made me think of this great movie "Imitation of Life"

...its been on the telly a few times.

  • wow, im surprised you have any black or white in you.....you look Indian.

  • you're so hot we should make a bunch of chicken noodle soup babies..... they could come out black or white two half and half's together... you never know what you might get ;) ohhh yeaaaaaa hahahah "lil mamas so hood, lil mamas so flyyyy"

  • Great video most folks are mixes. and there's really no such thing as black or white skin

  • Also America still is perpetuating this one drop rule so they put anyone who has "black blood" in the black category. Yet, they don't realize there is no such thing as being pure white or pure black to begin with. Especially in America..many "white" Americans have African ancestry and majority African-Americans have European ancestry. The average "black" person is about 20% European.

  • yeah, i was watching african american lives where they do mitochonria tracting on famous african americans like oprah and chris rock, and they were talking about how alot of black people think they have native american blood in them when really dna test prove its white ansestory that they are seeing. they said that only 1 out of 20 black people have native american ansestory. the number is much higher for the amount with white ansestory. peace!

  • I think this video is very interesting in the sense that people do try to label people with terms that don't quite fit. Race is only a social construct to begin with, so it makes sense there would be confusion when people try to apply labels to something that there is no scientific basis for.

  • you are gorgeous...lol...im sorry i didnt pay attention to what u said...but naw really....race is sumthin that if u really think about it...its STUPID...but its a problem thats gonna be here forever.....YOUR GORGEOUS

  • You are a GENIUS!! :)

  • agree. if people wanna stick themselves in categories. . .knock yourself out. AGREED.

  • black hoodie ? shit im thinkin bout subcribing then i found out she was colorblind lol jk tho

  • lol

  • love this video, love you, and you are the soup.

  • lol i wish i cud talk like u
