  • Jim Guercio is a scumbag...if you ever did business with him...you would know!

Caribou Springs Ranch is where he resides in Colorado and is a backstabbing

coat tail rider. He took Most of his bands money and treats people like Dirt!

  • so this is the man that gave them the injection they needed back in the mid 70s..

he hit the nail on the head with the whole music business thing too.

    that's all it's become anymore - a raunchy BUSINESS.

  • Saw this tour, totally great, remember it well=)

  • please, please, please, does anybody have any footage of the 2 bands together from this tour?

  • Oh Yeah! boy do I remember this tour... Seen them at Angel Stadium, one of those good old "all day events" MAN-O-LIBERTY... I remember being on the field around the 2nd base area when Chicago was just layin it down, the crowd up on the 2nd tier was jumpin up and down so hard the whole concrete structure was bouncing and making its own music.

They kept flashing to "Sit Down" YEAH RIGHT! like that would work! it was like adding "Fuel to the Fire" or back then like "Herb to the Bowl" helluvaday...

  • @17in74 Fantastic!! Thanks for sharing your wonderful memory...Wishing I was there!!

  • James Guercio like terry melcher as well... fascinating brilliant guys that were mostly behind the scenes yet were able to realize some fantastic ideas, change music and they both are super interesting to read about...

  • Upon Carl Wilson's passing, Guercio said Carl was the best singer he ever put a microphone in front of.

  • Wow this is really rare stuff, hope you have a video concert from this Chicago/B.Boys Tour

    to share with us.

  • Guercio had real class to give the Beach Boys credit for their "come-back" ...

  • I likes me some Chicago and Beach Boys! oooyeah.

  • Wow, this IS rare. Thanks for posting!

  • Wow, it's not often you see footage of Guercio. You always see Robert, Peter and the horn section. I like to see the really gritty behind-the scenes stuff. It really shows off the dynamics behind the group.

  • Have you seen the 3-part Chicago band documentary filmed in 1969-70? It's here on YouTube.
