The Hydra has two flying modes: hover or normal. The Hydra is in hover mode as default, meaning that you make a vertical take-off by pressing the "move forward" button.

In order to shift to the normal flying mode you have to shift the Hydra's thrusters. This is done in the PC version of the game by holding down a certain key for about two seconds (I think maybe the key is NUM 9 or NUM 6 or something, I can't remember). To shift back to hover mode you have to do a similar thing.

I don't think there is any immortality code. There is one code though that gives you infinite health, but you can still die from explosions, drowning and falling.

Here is that code:

Down, X, Right, Left, Right, R1, Right, Down, Up, Triangle

I haven't tried it myself since I don't use cheats, but it should work.

My video is not about showing the most amazing stunts that you can do - it's just a video recording of a MTA:SA Race track that I created a few years ago. It's meant to be played in multiplayer, with several other players competing to reach the finish first.

Just dont call it "Hydra Stunt Flight" while there are no stunts in it.. and im not going to upload a vid but search for "best of Firzon" and youll find we do in our SA:MP server..

Sure there are stunts in the video, only not the kind of stunts that you have to edit together to get 4 minutes of. It's just a simple stunting track that reasonably skilled players who've been flying the Hydra for a while may be able to handle.

It's really hard to get impressed by some guy you know may have recorded the same exact stunt over and over again and then done some cutting and pasting to make it look good in the end.

Check out "Hydra Racing" by Blackylight for some true stunting.

guys flying the hydra is pie it's like flying a chopper here easy instructions:

W = go up

S = go down

2 = put wheels up

NUM 8 = go faster with hydra(so you can fly)

SPACE = auto aim

LEFT CTRL = shoot rockets

LMB = give light so other players in SAMP can see u.

how o control in any PC game or Emulator is to use an EMS usb playstation controller adaptor. It only cost me 15 dollars off ebay, has two controller ports for just 1 usb, works with PSX and PS2 controllers. The dual shock analog works very well with San Andreas. much better than any "PC Dual Analog stick" would and its cheaper

To do that you have to shift the thrusters or on the Hydra. You do that by holding a certain key/button for a couple of seconds or so (I think that the key in the PC version is NUM 9 or something like that). You will then see the thrusters move back. When you want to switch back to hover mode you press a different key/button for two seconds (NUM 6, I think).

Also remember to bring up the wheels, because that will also make the Hydra go faster, but also make it less easy to maneuver.

Unfortunately I don't find the Hydra checkpoint race, "Military Service", to be very challenging. It's a good race to learn the basics of how to handle the Hydra, but that's about it, I think.

If you're interested in trying to beat my best time in "Military Service", my best time is 3:50.

i actually flew it like a helicopter. when i did the jet mode, i tended to overshoot the checkpoints.

I guess that's a matter of practice. Flying the Hydra as a helicopter takes forever, but it will get you across the finish line. Doing that makes sense if you haven't spend lots of hours with the Hydra in jet mode.

Have you tried flying the Hydra in jet mode but with the wheels extended? That slows the plane down some and makes handling it easier, but it's way better than doing the race in helicopter mode, in my opinion.

I don't play online anymore, but I used to play MTASA: Race and was a member of the RaFS clan, playing on the RaFS (Racing and Fun Server). If that server is still active you may be able to find a race map called "Hydraulics" (created by me) there that's more or less exactly the same route as is shown in this video. I also uploaded the map to the MTASA: Race map center, so you may be able to find it there if you run your own server.

To fly fast you'll have to rotate the thrusters. If I remember correctly, you do this by pressing and holding for about 2 seconds the NUM 8 key. If you want to shift them back to the vertical mode, press and hold for a short time the NUM 2 key (good for landing).

Also make sure you pull up the wheels by pressing 2.

I created this particular race course for MTASA: Race, another multiplayer mod, so if you're able to get it to work you should be able to fly this course.

If you're experiencing lag due to your computer setup make sure you reduce your graphics settings. That makes a lot of difference in multiplayer.

I reduced my graphics as far as I could for playing online simply because I could see it making such a big difference. Sure I could still play at a higher setting, but I wouldn't sacrifice race positions due to my graphics settings.

I think that some servers may be used for hosting both SA-MP and MTASA though not all.

First, it's because the recording software I used wasn't very good, and second, I increased the brightness levels since I thought that the original recording was too dark. That's why it looks a little odd, especially at the start of the video.
