BMWs are amazing but Infiniti is right up there with BMW so I don't get why the fanboys say "BMW is the best" when chances are they drove neither of the 2. I'd buy an Infiniti simply because they perform well and have tons of gadgetry, most of which I won't use but whatever lol and the drivers won't be as pompous as a BMW driver.

BMWs might look good but they are not reliable.Look at Consumer Report or Jd Power. You will see that BMW are average or below average in reliability.This also holds true for the Mercedes Benz. Now compare that with Lexus or Acura, Infiniti, the cars are more reliable. Why pay more money for a Bimmer or MB and have to take it to the shop all the time

Actually, your're wrong in one respect, the reliability problems are not with the car, to make that clear, they are with the gizmo's like idrive.

I guarantee 1 million bucks, you will never HAVE TO TAKE A BIMMER, or any top end German car to the dealer for transmission, engine, and other problems along those lines. Compared to the 5 series, the Infiniti M is like a wooden horse cart. Its much less of a "drivers car" Albeit, it is much better than an equivalent Lexus or Acura, it still won't match any of the Teutonic's.

Are you saying an M37 rides stiffer than a BMW 5 ? That's simply not true. Inifinity has MUCH better interior than a 5, much smoother ride for the ones looking for luxury. You must be mistaken. You must have ridden the 2007 model BMW 5 and the new Infiniti M. Although I like the new Infiniti M. The BMW has got more HP, a more sophisticated 7 speed dual clutch, and a really good LSD.

Looked at the new 5? The interior is now fixed, all the crap is gone and they updated it.

That you're right, I have been in the 5 series 2008 or may be 2009, but not the new new ones with the devil look stoplights. I will testdrive one next week to get an absolutely objective oppinion as I'm looking to buy a car in that class in a month or so. So far the M30D Infinity beats anything I've seen by far.

Also it's worth mentioning, the Infinity M is about 20% cheaper than a 5 BMW.

The New Infiniti M is great for value, and I was caught off guard when I drove this vehicle about how much better the Japs had gotten at driving experience and such. Reliability is a plus too. I drive the new Nissan Maxima as a commuter car and the Infiniti M is based on its chassis if I am not mistaken.

The forest air filter is realyl cool too.

But if you just want performance, E55 or the BMW 5

I sat in one at the NY auto show, and the quality is out of this world. And the vids don't do the car justice, imo. Beautiful inside and out. It felt so good to sit in and the feel of the switchgear was superb. I don't own an infiniti but I would get one next time I need a car.

Most are made in the US, so they are nothing else the crappy American cars. I used to have a Q45 and I must say that nothing really beat the luxury in that machine, but Infiniti still offers one of the best cars around. Then again this is only my opinion.

So in a sense yes infiniti is one of the few manufactures that actually import their cars. On the side note the 2011 QX56 will be moving production to Japan, as infiniti realized that US production cannot be counted on in terms of quality. So yeah now the entire line will be imported.

The Luxus is just an overdone toyota. This can be seen especially on the interior. Their plastic is not much better then in the shitty Toyota's. Now when it come to Infiniti they offer a lot of the technology that it not seen in any other brand. Also their interiors are pretty rich, maybe to rich for the price at which they start. And for all the powerheads around you really wont get the power anywhere else for this price. Also infiniti is actually made in japan, unlike many other luxury brands.

You guys really have to look at something else to. Most German cars are well overpriced especially Bimmers and Benz's. Many of the following don't even include real leather, they just come wit some shitty plastic thing. Now Audi is probably the best German brand as their cars are not as overpriced. Money not being a factor, German luxury is still better than japanese. My fully loaded '08 G35 sedan costs 20k less than a fully loaded 335i. Umm unless you dont have personal experience behind the wheel of both i wouldnt be so quick to compare the BMW to the Infiniti and state it "better". As a Family owner of a 2007 BMW 328I and a 2009 G37 sedan i can assure you the ride quality of the Infiniti to the BMW is uncomparable. I find the Infiniti so much more luxurious then the BMW, the Bimmers headlights are a plus and the exterior looks mean from the out side but it doesnt show the performance on the road, I would stay with the G.

The driving dynamics of the Infiniti G37 is the closest competitor on par with the BMW, the G37 has more standards as base model compared to the loaded 335i and the G has 328 HP Vs the 300 HP in the 335i, the G is largest entry level sedan in its class aswell. I love both cars but I am not going to justify the BMW 3 series being the better car simply because its "German".

The fact of the matter is , the 3 series is a great car, I agree but to say that in retrospect it is superior to the G37 would just be moronic to state. Yes the BMW does have certian traits that do give it some advantages over the G37 without a doubt, but as a whole in terms of defining the over all "better" vehicle, the G37 takes the cake in every conceivable way.

the thing i like about infiniti, besides the value performance is that infiniti has such bold curves both inside and outside. i remember when the 2003 fx35 rolled the streets, i was stunned at its design...no other car, including lexus, bmw, or mercedes had the amazing aesthetic styling of infiniti. bmw and mercedes were still stuck in the 90's with bland, flat interiors (mercedes still holds to that tradition today, bmw seems to be copying infiniti)...

Don't worry, the 37 pictured here has sport package, you can certainly get sport package on the M56 if you so choose. I agree the non-sport rims lack the style of the vehicle, but the ride is smoother without the sport package.

I have to say i would take the Infiniti M37/M56 over the BMW 5 series and the Lexus GS any day! As a BMW and Infiniti owner the battle is always on to compare both vehicles but overall aesthetically and cosmetically the car is more luxurious then the BMW, Lexus and Audi mid-sized sedans. I cant get over how captivating these Infiniti sedans keep getting. Apparently the Infinit M will price above any conventional luxury sedan out to today. Rumors are from $50,000 to $59,000 and up with options.

Ive had the ownership and experience in driving both vehicle's of the current generation.The BMW and the Infiniti comes first at the top of the list for me when ever im ready to purchase another vehicle.The BMW is really nice but its beginning to ware off on me,their designs have become the epitome of stale safe and boring. I would have to say that the taillights remind me of a mix between the the Jag XF and the new Merc E class. Awesome design by Infiniti and Nissan and by far the best interior ever on an Infiniti product.
