I think what you're assuming is that once a gene becomes dominant in a population it can easily be weeded out. That clearly isn't the case. Transracial adoption studies have shown that environment can only do so much for any given individual, the Minnesota Transracial Adoption Study is a good place to start. When environments are similar enough that the difference they make should be close to zero, and we still see roughly the same disparities as in the wider population, then it's clear that intelligence is mostly hereditary.

I destest multiculturalism like a sickness, but I'm very skeptical as to how much violence can be explained by inherent genetic differences. No doubt genetic differences exist, but most human societies were pretty violent because they lacked things like advanced systems of surveillance and communication. I think what you're assuming is that once a gene becomes dominant in a population it can easily be weeded out. That clearly isn't the case. Social pressure is not a selective pressure. There's no barrier in place that prevents people with mild-high aggression from reproducing. Therefore I think the propensity for violence is the same in Europe as it is in Africa - Its just Europe has police forces, surveillance, etc that work to curtail those behaviors. Go to the Wikipedia page for `Race and IQ'. There are a lot of psychologists (such as Arthur Jensen, Richard Herrnstein, Richard Lynn, and J.P. Rushton) that disagree with you. The co-discoverer of DNA, James Watson, disagrees with you. Even Stephen Jay Gould, who used to believe that IQ was purely environmental, is now in a state of extreme agnosticism with regards to racial differences in IQ.

The existence of other factors doesn't stop race from being predictive of IQ. Transracial adoption studies have shown that environment can only do so much for any given individual, the Minnesota Transracial Adoption Study is a good place to start. When environments are similar enough that the difference they make should be close to zero, and we still see roughly the same disparities as in the wider population, then it's clear that intelligence is mostly hereditary.

There are genetic factors in every race's behavior and culture as well as physiognomy. But since any race is a large genetic population, there is a wide range in these characteristics within a race group. HOWEVER, being that it took a "cultural shift" - a change in the method of experiment and learning - I am aware that such cultural shifts can happen anywhere to any people. Great Zimbabwe is just one of the larger parts of an entire city. European-style roofing wasn't necessary there, so they didn't have it. BUT, the Palace of Fasilides, The Gidan Rumfa, The Tomb of Askia, The Tombs of Meroe, the cities of the Empire of Mali (including the libraries, schools, mosques, ect), the Kingdom of Axum all had distinct roofing and multi-level complexes. The "beef" is that most ppl don't know any of that. I may not know of the Caffa but I do know SOME European history.

I'm not an expert on medieval Mali, but what strikes me is that the flow of knowledge seems to always be in one direction - non-blacks teach to blacks, but blacks never have much to teach to non-blacks. Did the writings of Ahmed Baba made an impact on the greater Arab world?

Yes, but not knowing of ANY culture on an entire continent is not normal. When we learn "Black history" in school, it starts with slavery. Then it goes on to Frederick Douglass & on to Martin Luther King, which is cool, but it should start at the Nok Culture or perhaps the Kingdom of Kush or Dhar-Tichitt or Djenne-jeno. It starting at slavery is misleading.

The problem is that Djenne never shaped the American culture in any way. When I was at school, i remember someone wondered why we studied the Greek so intensely, and the teacher said: because Greek thinking shaped our culture. That is a sound principle. It's the reason one studies history in the first place.
I assume that the purpose of "black history" in the US is to study the history of American blacks. American blacks don't even descend genetically from those in Djenne, let alone culturally.

American blacks are from Africa. The history of American blacks starts in Africa. That history has to be taught in order to eliminate the perception that Africans have no history prior to white colonization. It's detrimental to the psychology of blacks in America (or anywhere) to have such a perception, and it fuels white supremacist sentement.

You completely missed the point. I'm saying that American Blacks are from West Africa, and they need to know west African history, which significantly includes the Empire of Mali, among other places. And that's just AfroAmerican. "Black" history includes all who is considered "black". U don't say "Well, Plato was white, but he was Greek, so that's not our history bcuz we aren't Greek".

I never said I was "proud" of Al-Jahiz, but he did have an impact on Arab scholarship. I also never said I "loathe" racial supremacisism. "Loathe" is a strong word. "Annoyed by it" would be more accurate. It is annoying because it's usually based on the idea that Blacks don't have a history prior to white colonization.
