  • 1:21 Its that the stupid guy in harry potter?

  • Yep gotta agree, Greatest nwobhm band ever

  • Metallica can bite the big one...

  • Sean Harris is one of my Fav singers, that's a big thing to say I know as a rock fan, but he can both sing and write songs that have stayed with us. They're still going but need Sean Harris back! They're the school band that made it big!

  • brian tatler looks like steve clark in the let it go video

  • I would say being 8 in 1980 and hailing from midwest america, I don't feel very embarrassed not knowing these guys until Metallica covered them. Besides, it ultimately led me to bands like Sweet Savage, Witchfinder General, Virtue - so thanks for the heads up Metallica.

  • Greatest NwOBhM band. nuff said

  • sorry, this guys voice is shit, band would have gone further with me singing lol

  • @SteveBurk

Well thats your opinion but hey I think Diamond Head is kick ass and doesn't need to change anything haha

  • how many people are here because James Hetfield likes them? how many think James has horrible taste in music now?

  • Fuck yea.

  • Saw them live a few times round this period - always thought that Brian Tatler needed to crank his guitar up a bit more on the rhythm parts although it sounds pretty good here. Sean Harris was too much of a poser though - lot of guys didn't really take too kindly to his posturing.

  • damn singer kept this band from going anywhere, he can barely sing, the band would have been better with a real singer

  • @SteveBurk what are you on about? Sean Harris and Brian Tatler made this band wat it is. Vocals and Guitar. Nevermind the fact that his voice is amazing without apparently having to try. Listen to BORROWED TIME.

  • FUUUCK YEAH

  • sean harris - one of the finest singers ever.....

  • i can hear alot of jimmy page influence in his solo

  • anyone know how to get the sound they use on the solo?

  • @Hudzan he's using chromem plated pickups and a marshall plexi head. That the key to the solo

  • omg, both the left and right hand technique of tatler looks so similar to the way i'm playing. like the way he holds a pick.

big difference though is that he can actually play kickass solos, not me :P

  • thats right i'm much more better lookin :)

  • i guess in that perspective i'm more of a blues player. not that i care, Tatler plays really nice, i could only dream to be as good as him. thats all that matters to me, fuck all the super fast shredders out there, i prefer some soul in guitaristry...

  • Hendrix, Van Halen, and Clapton should have kept that thumb behind the neck. Just think how good they might have been.

  • Sarcasm yes? lmao

  • underrated very very talented band.....

  • i wonder why u can like not even hear the bass at all in this even with headphones the bassist might as well of stood up there n played nuthin

  • yes u can

  • that's one sloppy solo, but i like the riffs!

  • Nice to here there early stuff with Sean

  • what's nwobhm ??

  • New Wawe Of British Heavy Metal

  • the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal

    bands like...

    Venom

    Diamond head

    Iron Maiden

    Judas Priest

    Mercyful Fate

    are all NWOBHM bands

  • venom and mercyful fate are really black metal

  • Saw 'em loads of times , the BEST nwobhm ever, better than Maiden even.

  • yeahh id say so

  • it's called an opinion. everyone has one.

  • maiden were awesome but u forgot this band never mad a bad song maiden made plenty maiden were more popular and never sold out, but they make music today which is no where near as good as there oldies

  • actually. You really could say the same about diamond head.

  • maiden is good but iono diamond head fucking kills

  • meeh... diamond head are fuckin great, but maiden is better, hell, Iron Miden is the best there is \m/

  • I love Diamond Head! How many think I should get a Diamond Head tattoo on my right arm when I turn 15 or 16? Im 14 now but I cant fuckin wait to get one.

  • Great clip! Cheers.

  • Who on earth put them on this show, managers beware! This was such the wrong audience for them, the manager was clearly touting them for anything.

DH were the most underrated NWOBHM band in my opinion.

    So there.

  • Hell yeah! DIAMOND HEAD IS KING!

  • i agree with izabel! (sucking my love is the business!)

  • Great song.

Short (2:32), sharp, to the point.

Followed the band in their early career and thought they were great.

Any comparable types of band to this around today? let me know. Dont say DH

  • great

  • nwobhm-30th anniversary,hope to see them there

  • Brian Tatler was a great riff and songwriter. He's like Tony Iommi and Michael Schenker rolled into one - awesome! You hear the Iommi in the riff and the Schenker in the solo. Brilliant!

  • such a good band.

shame what metallica did to them though, by naming them as an influence they were doomed to be just that, an influence. Fuck Metallica! DIAMOND HEAD!

  • I'm guessing you like "Roots" era sepultura? fag.

  • wow! where the fuck did that come from? What the hell does Roots era Sepultura have any thing to do with what were discussing? By the way,I hate anything Sepultura did after Chaos A.D.,and even if I didnt,it still doesnt have anything to do with it. You know what? Im convinced that you have brains in your ass! Oh what! let me search for another irrelevant thing to call you like...um,"fag" yeah, thats a good one!

  • well no, It's just an extremely poser oppinion. Diamond Head later went on to do a few actually heavier albums that just happened to fail with the mainstream. Def Leppard moved away from that sound to the point of eventually releasing shit like "Pour Some Sugar on Me". Fuck Metallica, Fuck you.

    ps. I repeat: Fag

  • yeah!and play some monotonous shit...right!

'Pour some sugar on me" is a great song...fuck!music snobs

  • i love the current line up just as much as this one. nowerdays the distortion is up, i prefer it that way:P

  • Such an underrated band. Thank god Metallica pointed them out as an influence or there would be less people who have heard of them. I wish to god they reunite so I can go see them live.

  • they have reunited they have been since 2002

  • Yes, but I can never find them coming around my area. :( Well, since they're British, and not that famous, it makes sense they wouldn't come to America. Eh, who knows? Maybe they did and I just missed them. :P

  • @yupthatsme27 yeah underrated but its SHAMEFUL that most of the ignorant kids know Diamond Head just cos Metallica covered some of their tunes

  • @yupthatsme27 you know what your absolutely right i had never heard of them until guitar hero metallica so i looked them and i was so shocked.... there music is awesome

  • @yupthatsme27

They still play but Sean Harris is not in the band since 2004..glad I got to see them :)

  • @yupthatsme27 Now you have your chance...Thursday in New York!!!! I'll be there for sure!! One of the most influential bands ever and the creators of new wave of British heavy metal...

  • This is an awesome song. I love almost all of Diamond Heads early stuff with the classic, Harris-Tatler-Kimberly-Scott line-up. I own a couple of their singles and albums on vinyl and it's just awesome stuff. Its fun to hear in the video that Brian Tatler actually at points play the riff a bit out of tempo and make some minor mistakes. It's understandable though because the riff is quite difficult to play perfect at that speed, I have a bit of trouble with it myself.

  • Is that Tucker Jenkins at the front?

  • shit this has taken me back to the time i had hair headbanged it all out

  • Real metal. Love it.

  • I like this song cause it's challenging to play!

  • I thought Harris played guitar.

  • Sean Harris sang! Brian Tatler played guitar.

  • So Tatler played lead AND rhythm guitar. But why do their albums say Harris did rhythm with his singing?

  • I don't know! He always just sang when I read - maybe he helped out with rythym guitars in early days - still great even taking account his freaky shoe taste:)

  • No Harris actually played rythm guitar on a few tracks where one single guitar wasn't enought. An example is Am I Evil? where Harris plays in the intro but not in the song itself. Though the album cover of Borrowed Time (I own the vinyl LP) only say that Harris sing he does play some rythm guitar on some of the songs.

  • Where can I find the tabs to this song?! I can't seem to find them anywhere!

  • This is real metal not that metalcore poseur shit.

  • Totally...! I like this early riff based stuff. Metallica owes Diamond Head a huge debt.
