take those panels and put them in the basement.first you take a parabolic solar concentrator and put an robotic arm on it to follow the suns path.then make the focal point a mirrored shape cone that will send the light down through mirrored glass tubing straight into a mirrored shape glass box inside the mirrored shape box will be several solar panels that spin to keep them cool the mirrored box must have the mirrors inward to reflect the light sending from the parabolic focal point.ken van horn
The difference between a fixed, tilted PV solar module and one that tracks is about 12% in the winter and near 40% in the summer. Comparing a PV module mounted flat versus tracking, during the winter solstice you will gain about 60% more production by tracking. The cost of tracking is usually 500% more than the cost of simply adding another PV module and that does not include the future repair costs.
With PV solar modules at an al time low price, it makes no sense to purchase a tracker.
@TheMontanafreeman But if someone was capable of building one from a regular flat panel and not have to pay someone else... do you have references for the percentages you mentioned?
where do you purchase this ?

Great! Please take a look at my homemade trackers, at a low cost, they can carry a 1kilowatt array (or more).

Nice but the KISS is best.
All those motors and gizmos is just something to go wrong imo.
