For years I've been saying that not every superhero can sustain a big-budget movie franchise. Every hero isn't on the level of Superman, Batman, or Spider-Man. Many of Marvel's lower tier heroes would make good tv series, such as Daredevil, Ghost Rider, Power Man & Iron Fist, etc. I really hope Marvel is finally serious about bringing some of their characters back to TV. Despite ULTIMATUM, and the complaints ive seen about His writing on the Hulk series, This guy actually writes a decent and GOOD Ultimate X. Im even reading his New Ultimates.

I like what hes doing now a days.

Though I will agree that the female character designs looked identical and alot of the cartoonish aspects seem offputting to a comic book fan, but the animation moved well and the action scenes rarely bored me. a billion ties better than the stock footage of the 90s cartoon

I agree that some of the action secenes were quite moving. But Spectacular Spider-Man isnt the ONLY show where they can produce that kind of effort. Id say, invest it in Ultimate Spider-Man, the NEW cartoon series coming up based on Mark Bagleys comic designs (Hopefully)

In Spider-Man TAS several concepts from the Show hadnt been from the ASM Books, IE Captain America frozen in a Vortex, the Symbiote origin, Neogenics. the Plot/Reason for the X-Men crossover

With the time before the show is Green lighted and the sacrifice of time, WB animators had time to prepare for the show because they cared, With SMAS there was the strong feeling of a quick production, quick stories, and odd continuity back and fourths. I am an animator, I know how to cut corners, SMAS did it off...

Technology we didnt have today is responsible for how the TAS Series turnd out. You wouldnt find much of HD back then if thats what you mean.

But, at the same time SM TAS came out we had Batman TAS. It was not a matter of technology, it was work. The patience of the producers, the love of the animators and the investment of the writers. SM actually had more technology if consider the CG..

I have always thought Marvel was perfect for live action dramatic television. They have the best writing with the most intricate characters and would be perfect at doing high school angst. Something akin to Buffy the Vampire Slayer could be done easily with any of the young x-men (Xavier's Academy), young Avengers, etc. Best of luck!
