  • Very nice! Do you have a website or something which I can do further reading on?

  • @Eddyah

Thanks for showing an interest in my Rover. I now designing mark 4, as I ran out of space for all the electronics. I have now fitted CmuCam3 to the arm as the whole project is to find and pick up golf balls. It will

not bump into things or pic up sqare green things - you get the idea.

I have just made the first cut to start mark4, so it will a while before it is ready to show off. But I think your idea

of a web site is great. I could show piece by piece how it is built.

    Paul.

  • Need more videos and pics. Have you considered documenting your work on 'robot box'.net or 'lets make robots'.com. Great job!

    Regards,

    Les

  • Good job! now you just need it to go on Mars XD

  • awesome!!! I want one

  • Thanks for your comments. Send me about £2000 and I'll make you one!

  • Where can I buy those motors? They don't look like servos.

  • Make a new video man of what it is now!

  • Now all you need to build is an inter-planetary communications network, and a rocket based delivery system!

    Great video and cool robot.

  • @Kevitivity

Thanks for your comments. I will think about it when the money comes in.

I have made many changes in mean time. It's about time time to up-date the video.

All the best to you & yours.

  • Very cool! What kind of drive motors are you using? Do they have encoders?

  • The motors are all off Ebay. Unfortunately they are not fitted with encoders but for now I have milled radial slots on on the rear of the hubs with each slot painted white. The wheel motors and the steering motors are the same 16mm dia 6 wheel drive & 4 wheel steering.

    Regards,

    Paul.

  • this is a IMHO a real good idea!, go to the nasa and let them pay for you;-)

  • Thanks for the comments. Its now got a new robotic arm and video transmmited back to the PC.

    All the best,

    Paul.

  • Fantastic. I'd like to see tackle some sand traps
