Our real cultures are fading away and being replaced by a foreign one. When I got my citizenship of another country I tough that I can be one of them ( big mistake) Filipino is what I am and what will going to be until the end of this natural life. Huwag nating kalilimutan ang kulturang atin sapagkat ito lamang ang sa atin magpakailanman.

as the Artistic Director of the Kaagan Dance Theatre Collective Inc at the same time the choreographer of the group, i am extra careful on the DOs and DONTs of the tribe and of course, of the religion. That is not Kagan, that is Kaagan. I want you to give me the meaning of that so-called tribe of yours which is the Kaagan. On the other hand, my tribe KAAGAN came from the word kaag which means to inform, to warn, to secure or secrecy. pls do some researches po. thanks!

to JESSWED: Assalamu Alaicum W.W.W.! dis is jemael nur vicente jatico II of Davao Oriental. I am the grandson of Bai Sonia Manuel Vicente - the tarcela (oral tradition) handler and one of the granddaughters of the famous Datu Tomaros of the Kaagan Tribe and the daughter of the 1st Sultan of the Kaagan - Sultan Comara Tomaros Manuel. Since I was young, I am used of memorizing our genealogy, oral tradition and our history, culture and arts.. I am the President of the KDTC Inc!

i would like you to present to us those histories that you ve read. i am interested also. taga wayn kaw kadi? that is the difference between Kaagan and Kalagan. Kaagan is the Islamized tribe and the Kalagan is the Christianized one. Our advocacy is to revive and promote the dying rich tradition and cultural heritage of the Kaagan tribe here in the Philippines especially in Davao Oriental through other kinds of performing arts. still, we are very happy for the comments. thanks!

ano? nawala ang tribo?! pwd ba un? here we are, trying to revive our culture and arts. pls lang, wag nu patayin ang kultura at hayaang dalhin ang kultura na hindi naman sa atin. We are Islam by belief. We are not trying to tell evryone that we still do the ritual generally but what we are trying to project is what and who we are before the Chinese, Islam and Christian faith came to Pinas. Pls dont neglect kung san tau nagmula. Shukran!
