if you know about chinese food and see a restaurant that seems to be that, dont think its the same, the name is chifa, and it has a variety of food that are a awesome mixture of chinese food and peruvian essence, go there, ask for "sopa wantan", as a drink please dont ask for a coca cola soda the best of them are the famous inka cola, then ask for"wantan frito", ask at the waiter for recomendations. there are many places where food is unique, :pollerias", etc.

for the ones that want a recomendation if you are going to peru, ask a peruvian as me, if you are going to the coast, go to restaurants denominated as "cevicheria" there ask for these kind of things"Leche de tigre"(is not wat you think though),"causa" "ceviche de lenguado", "arroz con mariscos", for dessert "suspiro a la limenia", "tres leches", and dont forget to ask for a pisco sour as your drink, if you want a good beer ask for the cusquenia. For those traveling to Peru, there are many blogs and articles of what to see, eat, do, etc......Fodors is another good source for travel anywhere. One last note, be weary of Gastronomical Tours that are extremely expensive and constrictive. If you can, talk to a local or someone who has gone and draw your own little tour.
