  • The simple melody fits so well with the sparse production. Its an absolute gem.

  • I remember lying on the bed in total darkness listening to this thirty odd years ago. I thought I was the only person in the world who knew of this songs existence!!!!

  • This hurts so good.

  • so many memories and experiences since i first heard this .. all true still today. One of their very best .

  • This takes me back. Beautifull music. This band were wonderfull when they started (though I can remember defending them in the mid-eighties when they went off hunting for a number one!) Got to buy this album on CD.

  • one of my favs!

  • In the one picture at 4:36 it looks like someones standing behind him about to flick his ear

  • When OMD got it right, my god did they get it right ! You could play this in another 30 years time and it will still blow you away.

  • I spell genious, genius

  • I tried to do an epic cover version of this using a BBC B computer at school. Fail!

  • ...masterpiece

  • Turn the volume up and blast this...

  • @depreciousMODE thanks for the advice. doing just that.

  • eight mates in one bedroom listening to this album on vinyl in the eighties . oh yes forgot to add on magic mushrooms . i will never experience the joy of life as i did at that moment

  • einer der besten songs von OMD.

  • God, I love old OMD!

  • I used to listen to this track and cry; so beautiful. Hell I still do.

  • these ways are tried, never seem to fail. OMD are among the best!

  • OMD. Every time I stick one of their LP's on, it gives me shivers of a bygone era, an opening of the mind and early memories of distant oil rigs burning on an oceanic horizon... well, those visible across the English Channel from Norfolk anyway. And then they did Sealand. The acoustics of these tunes live me in aural nirvana.

  • This song is staggeringly brilliant and it brings me back to better days for the whole world

  • They so don't make them like this anymore.

  • Thank you for this, I havent heard it for nigh on 25 years - had totally gone from the old grey matter, a true gem!!

  • one of the best tracks from OMD

  • I remember listening to this instead of doing my homework.

I could have been a genious only for OMD.

  • You mean genius. I see what you mean......

  • I rest my case

  • I'm doing that right now!

  • @03D23036 i am a genious because of omd.

  • @03D23036 I like the comment, but ironically it's genius, not "genious."

  • @upyerrzzz1 I rest my case

  • Did anyone else sus this out with this track??..... If you hav an old style record player with the auto stack drop play thing? put In the Dark LP on, leave the arm off, select 33rpm, and 7 inch {not 12}

manually start the needle at mess twins, and it will play thru then continuosly play mess twins all night long... Comprehende guys?

  • i don't have it on vinyl, but the principle of paying this endlessly YES, its just floats and hums unobtrusively like an unbeatable hammer against any shit.
