DMCA isn't a horrible law... in principle.

Its current form and the execution of it is shoddy as all hell, though, and it's so easily exploitable that it's pathetic. As it stands it serves as a tool for fraudsters of all kinds to swat down any criticism.

That said, I think it's a good idea to have -some- sort of protection against people stealing intellectual property or content... Just not the DMCA as-is. It's really just CYA legislation right now.
