hey dude can you help me? When I've been trying to fight of the aliens in the beginning of the video, I got thrown in some kind of hole... And there was _infinite_ _space_ _of_ _completely_ _utterly_ _nothing_. Well the hole was looking with some uhh blue lasers??? I've gone there and bam wtf is dat shit

I have crysis running 40-47 fps avg on my new ati radeon 4850 1gb edition, 4gb of ram, and amd dual core 3.1ghz processor. I only paid 520 for the computer and just put it in a case i already had.

Halo saves you a couple thousand out of your wallet. Seems ALOT better to me. Unless your a spoiled child with rich parents that'll buy you anything. Then its a different story.

Uh, what makes you think everyone is a kid? Some of us have jobs, you see. I have a nice PC and all three consoles because I bought them myself. Anyway, a PC that can play Crysis maxed can be had for about $1k, and technically that's not much cheaper than a 360 when it was new, plus XBox Live every month (PC online is free), plus all the games are $10 - $20 more on 360.

Besides, why would Crysis automatically be a worse game just because it requires pricier hardware?

You said "spoiled rich kids" with "parents that'll buy you anything" are the ones who get expensive PCs. I'm not rich, you don't have to be rich to own a good PC and the three consoles. 

In fact, gaming in general is a pretty cheap hobby. MUCH cheaper than my girlfriend's hobby which is buying designer clothes and shoes and crap, lol. As for the videos of the Crysis A.I., if you mean the YouTube ones, they are faked. Crysis comes with an editor, people can make them do that and record it.

Ugh i still didnt say that. Oh nevermind, maybe i'll finally get to play crysis when EA releases their new custom-made crysis warhead PCs that are made to play crysis. They said that they'll range from $600-$800 bucks. Thats pretty cheap, but theres prob a catch to it.

NO ITS NOT, IM TALKING ABOUT HOW YOU ALWAYS NEED TO UPGRADE PCs and not with a 360 or a ps3! Cars arent really good for a comparison anyways because you dont need to upgrade your car every time you go out to say, "Buy food".

Uh, buying a new console is an upgrade. I upgrade my PC about as often as I buy a new console. I always upgrade my PC about 2 years after the new consoles come out, it's just like buying a new console.

Why would you constantly need to upgrade? Sure, you could maybe throw a new videocard in later if you wanted, but it isn't required. Just like aftermarket mods on a car aren't "required" but they can be expensive and there are a ton of enthusiasts.

Why? This isn't a walkthrough. It isn't intended to be a walkthrough. It's just a chance to show people what this level is like. Not many people have played Crysis compared to other recent hit games. So calling me an "idiot" makes no sense. Did I ever call this a walkthrough? No.

Why put everything on ultra high when you can adjust some of the options to high and play without this annoying framedrop?

What annoying framedrop? That's just Fraps. The game runs a lot smoother when I'm not trying to record the thing with Fraps, heh.

Hm, good to know. Btw, did you know you can get all DX10 features on windows XP? Some guys tweaked it a little. This way you get full DX10 support and play it way faster. But i think ur 8800 can manage it on vista. Though my 8600gts 512mb plays everything on medium, the only way its really smooth. Any suggestions to increase stuff without framedrop?

i have 8600gts too. if u want to increase performance a bit, u can try clock the graphic card? i havent tried to increase after clocking, but still, it may work :)

or else you have to play on medium until you get another graphic card (or maybe two?;)

you can use the PowerStrip to clock it;)

Thx for the tips, i tried out the overclocking, it works a little. But then again, crysis isn't even supposed to run on high or very high unless you have 8800 SLI's, and i don't have that kind of money. You're right though, i'd better invest in a new 8600gts, why the heck not, they're quite cheap at the moment too. (about 125-150$) Take care ;)

You should make Part 4/4 xD^^ Part 3 doesn`t end at the end of the Core Level. i played today to this part of the Game.but i dont find the next exit :-( xxxing Labyrinth.

btw. i run it on a 8800GTS and a X2 4800+ but only with Xp (DX9)on High.I have some relative good Frames between 25-40 :-)

but in what settings are you playing? i noticed i little bit of lag/stuttering. perharps is just fraps, but anyway how you're playing?

DX10, all settings maxed at "Very High". And yeah, the lag is Fraps, and it's still pretty slight IMO.
