I had a GS mix and she was extremely fast and very athletic too bag she died. In terms of speed and agility she would humiliate lots of full breed out there.

Haha, you should listen to yourselves! your all so protective of GSD's! Any sighthound would overtake the train. Admittedly they would then go to sleep for the rest of the day, you should see some vids of greyhounds.

@FrostedDiamond1 I recommend a German shepherd dog, yes, they shed, but they are excellent guard dogs, and a great companion. They have hearts as big as gold. I'm 12 years old, and I see how Doberman's act. They are not very playful dogs and there not really dogs that you can cuddle with. German shepherd's are fierce, loyal and a best friend. I used to have a Shepard that would run along side the car at 38. Bismark was an amazing dog. Unfortunately he got into some fertilizer and we lost him. That was 20 years ago and I still miss him.

I also have a GS. She is my first purebred GS. I was always a Lab person, but now I am a GS fan all the way. The only caveat is you MUST spend time with them and give them at least basic obedience training. Otherwise you may end up with a bad experience. GS's are so smart and loyal and protective. My GS is my pal and companion.
