Our 10 year old newfy had a leg removed due to bone cancer. But she's been doing swimming therapy and is doing really well. It's the highlight of her week. Every day with her now is a gift; we're happy to be doing it to make her happy and keep her as healthy as possible. (We happen to be in a canine water therapy hot spot in the US.)

aww 12 years old! Thats wonderful. Its so neat to watch this. I have an 8 year old Newf named Tinkerbelle. I would do anything for her! I love watching them swim.

i have 2 newfies and my sister has 2 mine are 2 n a half years and 3 years my sisters are 3 and a half and four years we belong to a newfoundland water working club called south eastern working newfoundlands or s.e.w.n. i think newfies are the best dogs in the world!!!
