  • ok so WRONG u r stupid dont use the carpet!!!!!! use the coconut stuff thats the most gayest stuff to use and you also dont use a heat lamp use a heat blanket OH AND NO SAND they can die like that

  • I use sand instead of carpet, which should I use?

  • @bronchos33 carpet, if its an adult and its not fed in the cage then you can use sand

  • @deathwish1279 no didnt work out why they kept blowing but one of the breeders i know suggested changing over to a ceramic bulb with my thermostat cost me £130 to st it all up as had to change everything but the bulbs no blown yet after 14 days so far so good :)

  • you sound suicidal dude

  • @09arjans how so?

  • ur horrible at filming. No offence.

  • i hate how the crickets always go inside the carpet

  • Hey im having trouble with my bulbs they keep blowing after 2-3 days i replaved one today and it last 4 hours then it blew, i have rewired the fixing and got an electrician to look at it iv also changed the fuses and have tryed different branded bulbs but yet there still blowing can anyone suggest anything as it costing me a fortune or if there are any other ways to heat a vivarium for a ball python, would be much apreciated :)

  • @londnlad the only thing i can think of is make sure the fixture can handle the bulb, dont put a bulb in there with a higher wattage than the fixture can tolorate.

  • @londnlad Did you find your answer? If not, that's very common when you touch it with your hands, put the bulbs in with a napkin and clean it. Our hands give off oils that make bulbs blow up. :)

  • @londnlad if you are using high powered bulb's they tend to burn out when they have finger print's on them, use a cloth when handling them.

  • @Neodark10 not if it produces white or blue light

  • Can I leave my heat lamp on for the entire day? I'm not sure if it will mess up their cycles but the temp will be too cold without it

  • Nice tank set up just be careful about the reptile carpet the claws could get stuck other wise very good set up

  • cool bed

  • I think this vid was very helpful

  • Honestly dude your setup is amazeing all you need is a humid hide for it and fuck people who says heat lamps disturb the gecko it doesnt and anyways you need a light cycle and a warm side not just a warm spot for them to put there bellys on you can use UTH there is nothing against it but yah they need hot side so yeah use the heat lamp

  • Are leopard geckos carnivors or omnivors?

  • @Worrof955 carnivores, but just insects nothong else

  • Heatlamps are bad, dude. It stresses the reptile and basically bakes them. Heating pads are the best choice and you got that right. But you have shit in the right order.

  • @opoppell1994 i only had the heatlamp for a day/night light cycle to help reduce stress, it was low wattage so it diddnt make much heat, i use a flourescent now for the lighting, and a ceramic heatlamp in the winter

  • Nice is the bulb u use and wat walts is it

  • @anavas2010 i think it was 40 watts, dont use anything bigger than 40 for a 10 gallon, and it was a normal lightbulb

  • sand is better cuz its more calcium

    \

  • @MyCrazy32 thats only true in some cases, but if they eat too much its bad, i use it agan now, but only because my gecko doesnt eat it, its just good incase you forget to cange the calcium dish

  • Wow u fail, suction cups need to be moist.

  • @Minecrafter1235467 it was moist, i got it wet but the camera diddnt show that

  • hey where did you get that 3 story hide at? i have been looking for some and havent been able to find any

  • @ReptileFREAK22 petco, it was about $11, definatly worth it, they love it

  • he is a person named commanderkuddles

  • you don't need a heat lamp and and heat mat. One or the other. It will get too hot in their otherwise...

  • Comment removed

  • Do u need a screen top

  • @tygunther1 yes so u can use a het lamp if not you'll need to buy a heat pad

  • @tygunther1 yea do u need a screen top idk because they cant climb out O.o

  • @theeunloved1 if you dont get a uvb you will have to coat your geckos mealworms/crickets with calcium powder or they will get metabolic bone desiese ( MBD) and sadly, die.

  • Do they also need UVB light? Can someone Message me and tell me all the materials they need? I've been googling stuff but some people prefer different stuff. I don't know which to choose!

  • what kind of heating lamp ?

  • i read on a website you shouldnt put the tank in front of a window.... is that ok? O.o

  • you fucking dumbass sand sucks for them and can cause impaction dumbass

  • @jared1772 hmmm, im pretty sure thats repticarpet, sand doesnt come in carpety sheets

  • @jared1772

DUDE that is repticarpet that is what is in my leo encloser!!! so i guse you are the dumb one.

  • is that a 10 gallon or a 15 gallon tank

  • @reynaferny123 10 gallon

  • are you watching porn? lol

  • @jamesseddo haha close

  • if i get one, im gonna put a little toy van with a car bomb in it:)

  • thanks for the help, im going to get a leo gecko in the future.

  • thanks for the info, im going to get mine in a few days

  • @UlnaGo ur an idit u dumb ass, the sand sold for reptiles causes impaction. plus where they live it is mainly rocky, ass hole!

  • wow, great set up!

  • luv ur bedspread XD and im a girl =D

  • do u got coverage? lol

  • how long do you leave the light on for

  • were did u get the first hide ive been looking for one

  • dude never trust reptile carpet five of my geckos went blind because that shit so sand and carpet are both dangerous unless you use calci sand everything is fine and yes i am a herpetologist

  • thanks for the vid had no idea that they needed a humid hide full of info 2 questions though: 1 how big should a tank be for a baby gecko and how big for an adult?

  • I use bark multch for my geckos cage

  • @willz69r that might be ok, never tried it, but i use peat moss since they were hatchlings with no problems except for the few months i used sand and carpet

  • u dont need a heatlamp for day and night all u need is a heatpad for underneath and u dont need plants desert plants are ok but still there skin is so thin they can be burnt by a heat lamp buy a heatmat instead!

  • Oh my gosh do you really think you need a bright annoying heat lamp for a NOCTURNAL animal your supposed to use a HEAT PAD

  • @77alegro well you just called yourself a dumbass, just because theyre nocturnat doesnt mean its never day time wherethey live, i am replicating a night/day schedual which is alot healthier for them than just leaving them in the dark

  • What is a humid hide? How should I construct one?

  • @Corkyhonz a humid hide is a place where they go that has higher humidity, just make one by cutting a Tupperware container like i did and put paper towels in it, like i did and just spray it down on the inside every day

  • @Corkyhonz hey my name is cam im 13...but i know alot about leopard geckos , you asked what is a humid hide and how should u construct one...well heres your anser, A humid hide is a hide (third hide) that has ummm paper towel, wet moss, ECT, inside the hide. And most people construct there hides like this, they take a plastic zip loc contaner and burn/cut a hole in the side of it and just put wet paper towels/or wet moss all in threwout the hide. soo thats what a humid/ moist hide is!.

  • Bro the leopard geckos do not know that they are from pakistan, so i am sure they are not used to a rocky environment...

  • how much did that all cost you-im guessing in between 60-120$

  • @TheEmster51 yea roughly 90 to 100 including gecko about70 to80 without gecko

  • @comanderkuddles i have everything i need-except a branch-i know its not needed but i have a 20 gallon that has some empty space -i could just put a plant there but yea-idk and then all i need is the leopard gecko because i heard at petco their having a sale where their like 12.50!so since i have a 20 gallon i think i might get 2 and if they end up being males both-then im really screwed because i already have one male leopard gecko that is fullgrown but i dont want him to live with them-he sick

  • @TheEmster51 ok, this isnt always the case but it is half the time, when 2 ales grow up and live with eachother since they were a couple days to 2 weeks old, they tend o be less aggressive towards eachother when they are adults, but depending on the size of the gecko ask them if you can check what sex they are, because most of the time there, they don know how to, males have noticable pre-analpores and have hemipenal bulges that look like its balls at the base of its tail, and females dont

  • @comanderkuddles Please tell me all of your products names

  • @stupidcombatarmsvids 10 gallon aquarium, heat resistant screen top, zoo med eco-carpet(repticarpet made with recycled materials) sterilite container(humid hide), 2 onyx rocks, i dnt remember what the cave was, but i got it at petco for 11 dollars, a normal clamp lamp with a regular 40 watt light bulb, and zoo med UTH for underneath the tank, and a rock bowl, dont remember what the plant was

  • @comanderkuddles thanks

  • cooll

  • @187MRFRESH i got repticarpet a the local petstore, but any petco or petsmart should have it, or any exotic pet store, i also got the bowl and the plants at the local pet sore, but they should still be sold at any peto or petsmart, and the gecko in this vid was between 20 and 30 dollars, and the cave i got at petco for 11 dollars, and i just made the humid hide

  • @187MRFRESH the repticarpet i think was about 7 dollars, overall everything in this tank adds up to 80 including he tank, but the heatlamp was 20 and its not necessary if you have a heat mat, so it should be a total of 60 dollars

  • nice set up i really like it!!!

  • How big is the tank? Would my 20 gallon tank work

  • @DvSLies my tank is 10 gallons, but 20 gallons is the ideal size for one or 2.

  • @comanderkuddles

ohh ok thanks and also how much do u think a leopard gecko would be as a baby

  • @DvSLies as a baby, a normal would be about 20 dollars, and they get more expensive as the quality of their morph goes up, for example, an emarine leopard gecko would be about 100, but a normal is about 20

  • you know you don't have to have reptile carpet...you can get a different substrate such as paper towels or sand but reptile carpet is a very good substrate and it is very cheap.

  • @KISSrocker1000 yea, that was just because my leo was eating sand and i had to bring her back from impaction. but by far, one of the best substrates and cheapest is peat moss, my leo was raised on it since she was a hatchling, and never had a problem with it, it also kills the smell of their stool.

  • u could of turned the tv off

  • @coyote2007studios yea, i wasnt really thinking about it then

  • It's because u don't have a calcium dish anywhere that's why he ate the sand get one!

  • @jacob9853109 o, i have tried tat before, she only eats from a calcium dish if i put it up to her face, but now that the lizard you see in that video is a adlt and breeding, i keep a calcium dish in there just in case; but iv never seen her use it, my male on the other hand will sit there for 3 minutes just eating it

  • is reptile carpet easy 2 clean?

  • dude can i have one baby leopard gecko in a 10 gallon tank

  • @Xxkevineitor yea, actually, it is the perfect size tank for a baby, some people would say a 20 gallon long for a baby, buy thats only if you want 2 adults, a baby would feel insecure in a tank that big, but smaller than a 10 and it would feel cramped, so 10 gallon would be perfect and good for their whole lives if its not a giant(but 20 gallon long is bette for an adult)

  • hahahaha i can hear the TV on the 26 second mark. hahaha

  • you need to light up your room more for the video we cant see like anything only when u zoomed up to the tank is where we see

  • @darkstar111100 i know, my dad got me a flourescent bulb for the tank,so now its lit up well during the day, i will upload a new video, its of a 20 galon long, i upgraded their tank

  • Bad idea putting a terrarium against is it not?

  • @TheOgreKingdom against what? if you mean he window, it was during winter,i moved it and now its against my wall and a 20 gallon long

  • can i feed one dead crickets instead of live ones?

  • @JFMUFC26 i wouldent, you dont usually know how the crickts die, and dead crickets will often pass parasites or bacteria into your leo, especially if the cricket is slightly discolored, if you dont want to feed them crickets, then mealworms would be ok too,

  • fake n gay

  • @purplefaggat how is this fake ya idiot?

  • @purplefaggat

You, my worthless fucktard, have no life. Instead of fucking hating your life why don't you try complimenting someone else's work? And what kind of person names their fucking channel purplefaggat? Maybe you wouldn't be such an asswipe if you pulled that purple dick out from your massive beef curtains.

  • @UlnaGo no its fine, it just really gets to me when someone suggests something like that, in the wild there isnt alot of sand, its mostly rocky, but when there is sand, its natural sand, and that isnt that bad, but i still wouldent reccomend that, calcium sand is the worst, bcause when it gets wet it clumps, thats why it causes impaction.

  • @UlnaGo actually leopard geckos are mistakenly subjected as desert animals, but they are really mud, clay and rocky region dwellers. also. the sand in the wild is circular, and the sand in pet stores is square, therefore the petstore sand is more prone to impaction. leopard geckos do not come from an impaction itroducing eviornment. you really need some educaton on leopard gecko before you go around commenting on videos.

  • @UlnaGo i meant t say harm, not harb, so fuck you bitch, you dont deserve to own a leopard gecko if you dont even know where they come from. so take your head out of your ass and get a taste of the real world, not what you think it is. what you said is like saying its okay to take a bath in rat poison. the only leoard geckos that should be on sand are the healthy, full grown adults that have a steady intake of calcium from dusted crickets and a calcium dish.

  • @UlnaGo because you are a fucking stupidass fuckface who knows nothing about leopard geckos, they are frm rocky regions with very little sand, im not saying sand is bad, im just saying it shouldent be used as a substrate, for example, the best substrate would be slate with a little bit of sand sprinkled around it. it does do them harb because my leopard gecko almost died from impaction because there were clumps of sand stuck i her intestines, luckily she is fineow. so fuck you up the ass bitch!

  • @comanderkuddles in the buthole 2

  • @comanderkuddles and dont fucking forget the heat pad that you should have had becuae they take the heat for the heat pad through their stumeck they dont take the heat from the lamp and plus the are nockturnal animals so they bearly use the sun light

  • @serbiaxoxo suck my balls and pay attention

  • @comanderkuddles r rocks from my backyard good for my leopard gecko

  • @darkgaia34 yea, i use rocks from my back yard, just sterilize them before using them otherwise your gecko can get parasites, and if you use bleach or any cemicals to sterilize it, rinse it off really good, even better if it has holes in it, and let it air dry fr about a day

  • @comanderkuddles thanks

  • @comanderkuddles very true

  • @comanderkuddles why would someone listen to you if all ur doing is swearing at them and insulting them ? dosent sound professional to me. you give all reptile owners a bad name . i feel bad for ur parents because i dont know a kid ur age that swears like that . ur parents must be horrible irresponable leader if ur swearing like that kid

  • @greenfiend42000 its people like these dumbasses who get pissed at me and tell me the wrong facts and act like they are right, or people who start swearing at me is when i do that, and your immature for bringing peoples parents into this, i would like to know 5 15 year olds who dont use the same language as me, probably wont be able to come up with that many

  • @comanderkuddlesur proving my point again. you do know swears isnt need if you want to get ur point across.if you know there wrong just forget about it because obviously there ininformed about reptiles so leave it at that .dosent matter if all 15 year olds swear like that , show an example to others that ur not like all the other 15 year olds out there because obviously ur mature enought to keep reptiles healthy and happy when ur only 15 and not most kids that age have that typ of responablility

  • what size tank are you using?

  • @brendonleclair a 10 gallon.

  • Cool tank setup mate!

  • @iGeckoMan

thanks, thats my old setup. i will upload a vid soon with my new setup because i got another gecko from the phoenix reptile expo

  • lol reno 911 at 5:15

  • i put a heat pad under the cage with 3 paper towels on top of that is that ok for the gecko it seems not to hot

  • @TheSnarfal as long as the temperature on top of the heatmat is 80-86 degrees, it will be fine

  • where did u get the rock hide that was against the side of the tank and how much was it?

  • @Themrcj2012 i got it at petco for like $12.00

  • does the meal worm breeding cut down the feeding prices for the leos

  • @spydermonkey281 yea it cuts down on the cost a little, you still have to buy mealworms for about2 or 3 months or untill the majority of the worms are the right size for your gecko, i started off with a small about of mealworms to turn into beetles, i had about 30 beetles and now i have at least 500 mealworms so if you are planning on breeding mealworms start out with at least 50 mealworms or beetles

  • @comanderkuddles If you have a heat mat under the tank, how are you suppose to get the temp down at night? because isnt it supposed to be more cool at night for them.?

  • @TheChristianDay well you shold have a heat mat and a heat lamp on during the day, and turn the heat lamp off at night if your house is warm enough, the heatmat doesnt ad a significant amout of heat

  • why is sand bad for gekos i mean i want to put sand its more beutifle

  • @ThePetar121 sand impacts leopard geckos, i know it looks cool but i wouldent risk your geckos health just so its cage can look cool, my leo was impacted after being on sand for a month

  • lol @ reno 911

  • actuallly u should try cacium sand at pet stores its 100% digestibale and good for them so yeah u should try it its good

  • @stinkyroffo no it is shit, my gecko is showing sgns of impaction and the only thing i had that could cause it was the sand it is even harder to digest than normal sand just because it has calcium in it does not make it digestable, my leopard gecko is shiting out sand because of that stuff

  • @stinkyroffo you should never give them any sany

calcium sand is even worse because they like the taste so they just eat more and more so it is even harder to digest
