  • ill umi naughty gets it fluff from text speaking geneis in retrovese? halo j

  • brilliant video

  • Who said I AM THE ALPHA AND THE OMEGA?

  • damn~~~ this probably why i was never good at English. -__-

  • Language isn't unique to humans! Praire dogs(rodent like mammal) have a language too! With specific sounds to represent different things, they use language to warn other praire dogs of predators, they can describe the predator(colour, size, species) and how far away the predator is, other apes to have simple calls for different predators with each call meaning a different species.

  • @superraptor65 - Language, in the way its structured for instance, is unique to our species. Try studying linguistics before assuming that systems of communication are the same thing as HUMAN language...

  • check out my new language and culture blogue scoop.it/t/world-linguistic-and-cultural-topics-trends-news-and-appreciation

  • Wow I speak Arabic, and the first thing I heard in this Video was in ARABIC

    :D

    cool

  • youtube is a way of displaying the obvious

  • Why we cannt find the fact of how some children have magic capacities which we sometime never expect how could he or she can be amazing did it. It's very simple becuz everyone had been born and died and born and died so that, in different lives they have been practicing what they like long longgggg ago. This if you believe that mind is separated from body or brain and for sure mind cannot be burnt or buried it is forever...

  • @mackjang10 Oh! That explains why we never see humans making the same stupid mistakes over and over again in history.

  • Do u think u would lear the Polish language?

  • DO YOU THINK LANGUAGE/WRITING ARE CONNECTED TO THE ENVIRONMENT OR DO YOU THINK DEFINED WITH HUMAN INVENTION? MY EXAMPLE IS ON HAWAII I HEAR PEOPLE ROLL THERE R'S WHEN THEY SAY "BROTHA" LIKE IN SPANISH, BUT IN GERMAN THE LANGUAGE SOUNDS LIKE IT IS TALKING THROUGH THE SNOW? I DO NOT MEAN LIKE IN A ACCENT LIKE A SOUTHERN DRAW OR NORTHERN SPEED. I MEAN LIKE WOULD THE HEAT OR ALTITUDE OR COLD RULE THE WAY A LANGUAGE WOULD BE SPOKEN.

  • That really ridiculous animation of the chimpanzee-like creature awkwardly transitioning into a human being is hilarious.

  • @LearnerChess the animations are BAD, but the knowledge provided by this documentary puts all the crap and bullshit, which History Channel and discovery put out, to shame. This is real information.... Much better than a bunch of bullshit about broke ass losers out in Alaska trying to find gold. I love watching shows about people digging up mud...that is SOOOOOOOOOOOO fascinating! Not to mention alligator hunting and logging... yeh, good educational stuff that is....

  • Languages continue to deteriorate and go extinct to the present day. Look how the English language was deteriorated in just the last 60 or 70 years. Languages exist only in the minds of the speakers and words ride on the winds of air in the breath of the speakers. They also depend on the hearing ability of the speakers. The evolve rapidly continuously.

  • this is perpetuating speculations and false theories ....noam were you having say over your conversation or is this someones unauthorized effort?

  • Kurrrrrrr clack grup. Snuckt.

  • Computer can communicate with language, too. So, it is not only humans who can process signs and commands. Input processing output. Also, written language is not a biological tool.

  • Here's a good chess related question: Was Bobby Fischer merely a chess genius or, as he said, "An OVER-ALL genius who just happened to play chess?"

  • the Adigha language is the oldest language that survived.

  • 2:29 koi song people? who are these people?

  • @AiK3Y i think he's referring to the !Kung people.

  • 2:29 koi song people? who are these people?

  • This seems highly interesting :D

  • You athiest or agnostic people act to look like you stand so firm in what you believe and little do you know that the science and history given to you has been spoon fed to you by the hand of evil men to decieve you.The chronological dating of many things is guessed by historians and not even accurate. In Science enmity exists between Creationist & Athiest. You say that you don't believe in the bible but i believe it takes much more faith to believe in evil men who have told you "THIS IS HISTORY"

  • @SlaveOfCrist

While, judging by your user name and channel, I don't think we have much in common with regard to positions or belief I did find your comment very interesting. Thanks for offering an eloquently put alternative vantage point.

  • @lowenklee Seriously though, would you trust a bunch of wicked men who say "this is history"? Or would you trust a book that is self proclaimed the word of God, authenticated through the many prophecies that have been fulfilled, & testified by the Holy Spirit to be real. The only believable text in the world is the bible. God promised himself that his word will never pass away, that means that no man can annul it or tamper it to shift it's meaning because God is sovereign and controls ALL things

  • @SlaveOfCrist If God controls all things, then he is controling the wicked men who are writing all those other books. It is not hard to tamper with holy writings -- honestly. Just look at all the translators, all the editors of the early church who expunged this gospel and that one, and determined which of the various holy texts would be promoted and which destroyed or marginalized. They even teach this stuff in seminary schools now ---- most theologians regard it as a work of men.

  • About babel. Cuneiform script allowed Babylon to become a great power and take over other cultures that had their own language. What came of that was the creation of new writen languages. Not new languages themselves.

  • There are some serious misconceptions of evolution being flaunted on the messages beneath this video

  • @vrghiks

    Grow up

If science scares you so much you feel the need to preach then stop watching.

And get another vowel for your name

  • Yes,God's word is above all things, and is above all authority on all issues.

    But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

    1st Corinthians 1:27.

Don't get too high and mighty!!

  • @vrghiks I think you posted on the wrong video matey

  • i wish i had a tail, i'd be like goku and fly around the universe killing bad guys.

  • The only credibility of language comes from (Genesis 11:5-8)Outside of God's word

is nothing more than speculation and nonsense

  • @vrghiks do u really have to bring the bible so u can look silly here

the vid discusses a scientific issue , not myths

ur bible is not welcomed here iam sure u r one of those who thinks the earth was created 6000 years ago,,,Mr MoRon

  • @vrghiks ..... yea you know sometimes the stupid it just burns so bright... God huh? That same guy who split languages because they built a tower, what 10 stories tall? yea the Burj Khalifa kind of puts that theory to rest. Go play in the sand let the grown ups talk ok?

  • Noam Chomsky = Larry David?

  • Human word and sound Language not a biological tool, its an artificial Tool, its sound A biological language would be photosynthesis or oxygenation (lung function)

  • @flipperboy Oh really? I didn't live 50 000 000 years ago, maybe you did and you saw them evolving? By the way, monkeys don't find it too hard to control 4 limbs and a tail and I thought we had bigger brain capacities than monkeys? Don't give me that crap, give me some scientific evidence to work with! Trust me, EVERY mom will tell you she could definitely have used an extra limb or two!

  • @hislord please my dear, then explain to me why a so-called 30-million-year-old fossil of the shrimp has almost the EXACT same biology as today's shrimp? Why does it not have less or more legs? Why have mothers not EVOLVED 6 arms? Why did apes loose their tails to become humans?? Trust me, if I had a tail or extra pair of arms (like any mother will tell you) it would come in VERY handy! No, becoming resistant to a drug still does not prove that it changes into a different animal.

  • @hislord Sorry I wanted to give you the reference for the shrimp story. My dear there is possibly no way you would've known, but I am a researcher, and I also know how to double tripple and quadruple check facts from unaffiliated sources. I also know that not everything on the net is necessarily TRUE or FACT. creation . com / oldest-fossil-shrimp Kind regards.

  • @justathoughtization U know why they dont evolve more arms? becuase apparently they dont NEED it? have u heard of the law of diminishing returns? theres a maximum efficiency at which something operates, just because i hire more and more employees doesent mean my business will run better. Why we lose some parts that seem be beneficiary also works the same way, it would be quite difficult for your brain to function the way it does if u throw a tail into the mix. and btw Apes never had tails

  • Thank you for this very useful peace of work!

  • The chances of winning the lottery are 1 in 14 million. But still people win!

If there are multiple universes perhaps we just got lucky.

There's a machine that selects the lottery balls at random, not a god.

  • Thanks for the upload :)

  • Vinca culture = older than Mesopotamian

  • Chomsky is goD

  • we should be clear anytime that we write something... to be understood

  • Why is it that all the great thinkers, no matter what their particular niche in the world is, ALWAYS has a fascination with language. Language can teach you about anything from the history of Wars to mass nomadic shifts.

Noam Chomsky is a great speaker and the best 'social' thinker of our time. Yet he's a Linguistic Expert...

  • @tftmc I don't believe that the original Germanic language belongs in the Indo-European family tree. Why should we believe those linguists who can carelessly lump it in with the other languages in the tree. There are too many discrepancies, far more than similarities with Celtic/Latin/Slavic. One linguist even tried to put Germanic and Slavic as being one language at one time- which is highly unlikely because the two are so far apart. The only possibility of any similarities are borrowings.

  • @sneighwena Borrowings? With the Conquests of the many empires of the Western World, especially during the Roman Era the Germanic Tribes were shifted, languages changed, and we have the 5 main Languages of Western Europe today. French, English, German, Spanish and Italian.

Of course it's borrowed, that borrowing was from like I said Nomadic shifts and conquest. From that we derive our languages. And because of 'borrowing' we can trace history, through language.

  • Hmm. this might be good....

  • Argh! I hate the fact that in the English language one must use to many auxiliary words.

  • @Snotra *too*

  • @Snotra as apposed to too many inflections??

  • @Snotra Every languge has it own set of auxilliary word, it simply depends on how often you practice them in regualr speech.

  • Am wondering why speaking in tongues is in the title and description....

  • The listed price is meant for the educational market it includes Public Performance Rights -

  • Give us some proofs then. We are so complex because we evolved in MILLIONS of years! Natural selection is a powerful tool, give it time and you will have a creature, perfect for his habitat. God is just a supposition, an hypothesis. We evolved from monkeys, if you don't believe me, go study some biology. You have no proofs for what you are saying, you believe it, but that is not a proof. I feel sorry for you, really!

  • @Morganz696 well there are as many problems with evolution as there is with god. there are two that i would like to point out, one being the evolution of speech and the other the mathematical improbability of variation to the scale we see today happening in 4.5billions years. i would like to address the second point. being a biology professor myself at cambridge university, i have seen the vast variation of species to an extent where it would blow your mind. my brother and i worked on the

  • probability of the variation we see today. the number of species that are known account for only 10% of what exists, which in itself is a vast number(in the millions). to get this many species evolving from one common ancestor, would take 9.6x10^87 of years which makes 4.5 billion years pale on comparison. im not denying evolution-it happens everyday-but simply the "fact" that we evolved from one common ancestor and we did not evolve from monkeys.

  • @hislord Happens every day?? Please would you take me to where you see evolution happening? I would love to see a dog produce cat-offspring!

  • @justathoughtization Evolution does happen everyday, animals/plants change due to their environment, collective change results in huge differences over years. Mosquitos continually evolve to resist pesticide. This is one of the examples of evolution in very recent times, Im sure you know how to use the internet, why not use it?

  • @Morganz696 Dude the coin has two sides. Go take some advanced mathematics course and philosophy course. The absence of God is a supposition, and according to higher mathematics, modern physics, even molecular biology; it's an incredibly ridiculous one. Do you even know the probability of one protein forming? In mathematical terms its essentially one over zero. Let alone the formation of a cell, a monkey, or a Human. Look around you dude..

  • @jonescomplete ok, so your answer is: a magic man done it? No one does know the answer to the origin of life in our universe. Does that imply that an all-powerfull, omniscient divinity has created us? No. I have no proof to deny God, that is true, but do you have any proof to for is existence? Evolution is our answer in this century. What is your answer? With no proofs sustaining your thesis, I think this conversation is pretty much ended. [sorry for my English, I'm Italian].

  • @Morganz696 It's true that we don't know how life originated in this universe, but is also true that we know how life has evolved all complicated structures and animals such as humans and monkeys. I think that what most people name God is in reality what we still don't know. By the way, what are probabilities of God according to modern mathematics and modern physics? My intension with my first post was to show how much we know about evolution of life, not discussing religion.

  • @Morganz696 - some ppl believe in what they cant see. have you ever had that feeling? Its called faith. As much as i love science and logic, I hate when Science and God are compared. To me science is Gods gift to man and there is a reason he wants us to get smarter and smarter... Thats all I have to say on the subject

  • @truthbeknowen. well not even all christians are going to agree with you on that, but the evolution of language and the evolution of man don't necesarily go hand in hand. whether you believe in the evolution of species is clearly subjective to your faith, i can respect that. Evolution of language is an even more obvious fact; i suggest you look at the history of english to see that i am correct.

  • @truthbeknowen Sarcasm on the internet is funny because it is really hard to tell if someone really means it or they are being sarcastic. I still can't tell with you.

  • @truthbeknowen Are you being sarcastic?
