  • Yeah, stock clutch is like that ... I burnt mine out rather quickly ... ah, the smell! :P

  • got through 3 gears in 7 seconds. im fairly sure this video is sped up :/

  • @Greno your a fucking idiot.... you must no nothing about STI's its an 05 and has close ratio 1-3 gears compared to 07 or later and its a six speed and has to shift into third before 60mph... think about it... and watch some other sti vids youll figure it out. until then stay off the drugs, its not sped up..

  • @nukemutant187

what speed does 3rd gear top out at?

  • @nukemutant187

and thats why i thought it was sped up. cos i did watch other sti vids.

  • @Greno well you can watch some of my other vids like sti vs sti, and see my car running the 1/4 mile and see me get through third in closer to 6 seconds.

  • @nukemutant187

i found a vid that showed a better in cabin view and it seemed that 3rd gear went to 80mph (128kph since im aussie) and all i have to say is that is an ultra short 3rd gear ratio. in the r34 gt-t skyline i had for a while, it's 3rd gear topped out at 100mph. crazy difference.

  • @Greno yeah, haha, this is a fail of a comment, this vid is not speed up. STI's have crazy short gears.

  • @Greno If it was sped up, it would sound like a 2 stroke dirt bike.

  • @Greno watta fukin twat LMFAO

  • Slightly speeded up film...

  • @CodeTwo2 your an idiot.

  • @nukemutant187 you're

  • @94machu really, its youtube. if someone says lol do you tell them laugh out loud? Fuck of at scout camp chimo.

  • Hi I've Sti 06 stock, what kind of Launch control do you have? Remap? stand alone? thx:)

  • lol that was pretty damn fastttt bro, nice

  • <3 subaru rumble

  • @nukemutant187

    Welcome!

  • sounds like you redlined it before letting off the clutch

  • @blackcinema87 cant redline it... LC was set at 5000 rpm's, redline is 7k. The LC wouldnt allow it to go past 5 while standing still.

  • @nukemutant187 how hard did you dump the clutch on this launch?

  • @blackcinema87 I didnt

  • @blackcinema87 hahahahahaha fail.

  • Good job! Sound damn good

  • @MillionCuteBoy35 thanks...

  • very nice

  • good start!!

  • @nukemutant187

    thanks♪

  • @nukemutant187 thanks♪

  • 2step does wonders

  • Please tell me thats a little fast-forward? That launch was pristine. So smooth and fast.

  • @crvtlvr2 thanks. no its real time, listen to the car and you can tell.

  • @nukemutant187 lol no I know. I was making it sound better. That just looked so clean I had to say it.

  • smooooooooooooooooooooooooth. nice launch

  • @RidingYamaha47 they are just as good as any other stock clutch they are made by exedy. and at stock or even stage 2 power can last a really long time. but if you up the power and launch/ffs alot like any clutch someday it will start to slip. people like to hot lap there stock clutch alot and that causes it to glaze over, and they think its shot when its not. If you have that much trouble with the stock clutch maybe the problem isnt the clutch, maybe the problem is the driver?

  • @RidingYamaha47 really you block my from commenting on you video, because you were caught in a lie. your a little bitch. ridingyamaha lmao you dont even have a bike you even say so in one of your videos... nor do you even have a drivers license. but yet you hade an STI? bullshit... your a fag and so are your friends if anything you say is true you and your friends are shit drivers. anyone can go to your page and see your video that you say you dont have a license and you drive your moms mini.

  • Comment removed

  • @RidingYamaha47 @ 4:04 of your external mic video on your own channel YOU say "this is the car i will be learning to drive in." you said it yourself you stupid fag little kid. you cant even drive so fuck off and quit wasting my time. and you havent been able to back anything up that youve said its all bullshit. me on the otherhand i have videos to back up my claims. and by the way yes a man can drive a mini but that just goes to show he is a pussy mini's are weak ass slow shit cars for children.

  • @RidingYamaha47 A 300HP AWD STI is a little harder on a clutch than almost any stock car out there... think about it.

  • Stock subie clucthes are pretty good from my experience with them.....What have you been doing to yours?

  • @JackRABBITslim27 for the last year ive been running an RPS clutch and exedy lightweight flywheel as far as other mods there are alot to list, but nothing to exclude me from racing any stock street class races.

  • @RidingYamaha47 yeah, dont you drive your dads mini? what is that like 120 hp... at the flywheel? does it use your old brittney spears c.d.s for a clutch or what? And the mini is a pussy ass womans car, that is also suitable for gay dads. fag

  • Hi guys im thinking of buying an STI, EVO, or nismo 350z i just wanted some info on all cars and HOW IS THE CLUTCH LIFE ON THE STI?????????? i dont want to buy an sti and the clutch goes out in like 10k miles.

  • @Sandeep9201 It wont unless you suck at driving... Buy an Evo if you want a fast car and you dont mind replacing the tranny over and over... Buy an STI if you want a fast bulletproof car buy a 350z if you want a slow ugly crap car, and want to get walked on by STI and EVO's every day.

  • @Sandeep9201 Subaru's have really strong transmissions and clutches, but the clutch will go eventually if you launch the car alot, Evo's have strong transmissions but destroy clutches like they've went out of fashion.

I hate the 350z, no offence but judging by your name it will suite you perfectly. :)

  • @ScottishScoobs Do you mean to say that indians are cheap as fuck and never want to pay for anything, if so, i agree man i know we are cheap but its the way we all are raised. But thanx for the info. I think im gunna pick up a sti it seems like a great car.

  • @Sandeep9201 I don't really have anything against Indians mate, i think they are pretty sound, its the Paki's that i have a problem with.

Ive got an 05 sti, its a superb car, a jap import version is the way to go.

  • @ScottishScoobs actully evo tranny's are weak as shit and cant handle big power at all.

  • @nukemutant187 Alright, ive never had an Evo 8 or 9 but i'm assuming that with all the big powered ones you see forsale on piston heads with standard transmissions, i thought they would be on par with the STI.

Ive had a E5 tho and it was pretty problematic tbh.

  • @ScottishScoobs I know a guy with a stock turbo evo 8 that runs high 10's and hes rebuilt the tranny 3 times and i know of others that have had to do the same. he completely cleaned the teeth off of half of third gear last time. but with a built tranny they are great cars and very easy to make fast. but in know way dose the transmission come close to the strength of the STI tranny.

  • @Sandeep9201 when i was looking at either and Sti or evo everyone told me that Evos are faster but the Sti is more reliable. Even if the Evo is faster you could always tune or mod your car i mean thats what tuners are for. Long Live the STI!!!!!!

  • @drummer835 i agree completely I like EVO's and Subies. and at some point in power anything will break. they just seem to be easier to make fast on the stock turbo/engine. wich is good for any type of street class racing. but in almost every aplication the two cars can be made equal. and in the long run heavilly modified cars in any racing class form different manufacturers and tuners are fighting for 10ths of a second or less. then you have to look at the driver.

  • @drummer835 stis are more realiable? whaaat?? subaru engines rock but when stock or lightly modded.

  • i like the location. do you still go down to lower?

  • @ziegler223 not in a long time... i only race at the track, I ran at PIR and Woodburn a few times this season.

  • I just got an 04 sti how the hell do I use launch control??

  • @keithk7 My launch control is on my Cobb AccessPORT there are other ways to get launch control but i suggest getting a the AccessPORT as your first mod. perrinperformance, com has the best deal on it...

  • friends don't let friends drive stock.

  • so it because of the launch control the car dosent peel out or is it cus the tires or something??

  • with launch control you can still get some wheel spin, things that help stop this are where you set the launch rpm, how you release the clutch, tires, suspension/anti lift, and the surface/surface condition on which you launch...

  • In a turbo application, having the throttle open while inducing misfire increase the velocity and density of exhaust gases, allowing the turbo to spool up and generate boost with load. This results in boost being generated before launching and therefore allowing a vehicle to launch with considerably more power.

  • @nukemutant187 He asked why the tires didn't spin @Sandeep9201: All Wheel Drive, son :)

  • @dyockey yeah i didnt have enough TQ at the time, to spin the tires, im still on stock turbo but even launching at 4900, it spins all the way threw first.

  • @nukemutant187 ooorr it could be the AWD...

  • @birdman720 to wich comment is this directed?

  • Hey man i was thinking of getting an sti like yours or maybe a newer one. but i want to know what im getting into, so just wanted to ask if there is really high mantaince on that car and how often does the clutch go out when you drive as a dialy driver,How many miles did you get out of that clutch.

  • thats pretty fkn fast

  • Thanks...

  • Your welcome...

  • very nice!
