  • @xyz60461 you mean macbook pro? Macbook pro and mac pro are way different. I don't think your ready for an apple computer yet. Keep using windows for now little boy.

  • @cjbht1 people like you are so difficult and abbrasive.

  • WHY are you showing us the Dell? We all came here for the Macbook Pro! Skip to 2:02 for the Mac

  • hey i have a Dell inspiron 1720 my laptop get hot too and i am getting a mac pro 17 how is your mac pro

  • hey i have a Dell inspiron 1720 my laptop get hot too

  • the vents are under the screen when you open them, it's better than other laptops, coz the bottom part of a Mac is so clear, with out so many holes in it,,,,,

  • you need a haircut Pro lol kiddin, nice review!! thanks!!

  • is it true there are no viruses for macs

  • @WorgenInATopHat Yes it is

  • @sopwin no its not i found out myself the reason there arnt many viruses for mac is because its harder to make them and whats the point there is hardly any mac user out there the likely hood of a viruse catching a mac pc is slim!

  • I Thing Even A 2 Year Old Mac Mini Coud Bit Your Old Laptop

  • Nice haircut.

  • The MBP's have the worst cooling I've ever seen on a computer past the $1000 mark. Under load, its gets so uncomfortable to use that it's stupid.

  • The logo is upside down.

  • @signupsigma it is that way so that when you open it it is correctly placed

  • @OZPerpetue

That's the problem. It's correctly placed to everyone else but the user. Before you open the lid, it's incorrectly placed. When you open the lid, it's finally correctly placed. The problem is that you don't see it. Everyone else does. They enjoy a right side up logo. DO YOU ENJOY A RIGHT SIDE LOGO?

  • @signupsigma The first powerbooks were like you say, the apple changed them, and no, I dont enjoy looking at logos, I enjoy using the laptop.

If you are going to have it closed, and just be staring at the laptop just turn it around, but if you are actually going to use it, I'd rather have the logo placed like the computer looks right side up.

Matter of preferences, I guess, to each his own.

  • if any one is selling a macbokok pro please contact me, im being serious

  • Macbook would be better if the come with dedicated graphics card like ATI radeon .

    Nvidia sucks

  • so fucking lame

  • computer of century... thats so good... oh my god ... its amazing....

  • review of your old PC was not necessary but otherwise, cool video.

  • Is the WHOLE body made out of aluminum? I mean from the panel near the keyboard over the sides where you can find those usb ports and stuff like that to the underneath of the laptop? the lid is also aluminum? I hope its not plastic

  • @smellytoilet1996: All Aluminum :)

Check out the video on apple's website about the unibody design

  • @Inavaru I tried to watch it but I had to install thequicktime player and I didn't want to waste my time with that

  • @smellytoilet1996 The Keys are the only plastic part. The screen and mouse pad are glass. everthing else is aluminum

  • @smellytoilet1996 yes, it is all aluminum

  • fuck you

  • that what i want i really want one

  • Man I am make the same change. I had that Dell Inspiron, and I getting the Macbook pro.

  • dude i have that dell only its the 17in ive had mine for 4 years. it was awesome when i got it but now it sucks im bout to upgrade in a month though

  • pfft u just cant compare a Mac with a Dell hahaha

  • Is it really worth the price

  • get in here a little better

    here we go..........

    thats what she said 3:07

  • Macs are cheaper IMHO, I had an ibook from 2001 till 2007, got an XP that got stolen and XP was good IMHO went through 2 Vista PCs and a Windows 7 in a year and I bought the more expensive models and got viruses when I logged into my college site and it was a rip off... macs are worth it... I miss right clicking but that is all...

  • BEST. LAPTOP. EVER. MADE. you look like the singer from metallica kinda

  • mr. miller that hair gel is affecting the speech centres of your brain

macbook pro is about 1,000 euro cheaper in usa than in europe

  • Observe as the internet trolls fight to the death!

  • **eats popcorn**

  • Unfortunately I can't argue with that.

  • Look how freaking thin it is though. STUPID! Go think about why Apple makes such expensive computers.... HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. Yeah. because Mac is better. ( MY OPINON )

  • @BabiLocks Ok dumb bitch, no need to get all nervous now and mad. It was a statement. Ho yea tank for your opinion, nobody gives a fucking shit about your fucking opinion. Bitch

  • I'm not getting mad. THIS IS GETTING MAD. ******** u stupid piece of ****** u retarded ****** ** * **** like u did. I said it was my opinion. I wasn't getting mad. You just need to go out to the Apple Store and go find out why Macs are so freaking expensive.

  • @BabiLocks Wow wow calm down bitch, calm down. I didnt ask a question, i made a statement. Is your little brain understand that? Calmmmm downnnn biiiitch

  • No you. I'm only 11. Does that explain why I have a little brain?

  • ***** really kid?

  • @atronix worth every penny :)

  • @atronix Because it's good quality.

  • I HAVE A BIG QUESTION ON VENTILATION AND HEATING!! I live in warm weather tropical island and a lot of times inside buildings will be 80 -85 degrees!

How is the ventilation on the MacBook Pros??

Can they handle that heat or do they immediately start to over heat??

Do they have good fans and ventilation areas to disperse the heat of continuous use in a warm room like 80 degrees?

I don't expect miracles just much better than a regular laptop..

  • i have never ran mine is a room at the temp so I can really say. My room is around 70 or so most of the time and I never have a problems with it.

  • @dalesalsa Did you ever get an answer to that question? I'm thinking about buying a MacBook Pro, and I live in Houston, Tx, it get hot easily, way over 70...

  • @LadyLabin Hey LadyLabin.. No no one did answer how it stands to being used outside in the hot summer.

  • @LadyLabin Hey LadyLabin... OZPerpetue just answered my question about heat and the laptop down below... Cheers

  • @dalesalsa

What about air conditioning. so, what laptop did you buy, if you bought one.

  • @signupsigma Hey SignupSigma waz up.. Yea airconditioning is definately an option - but only when indoors. My question was if I take the computer outside in the hot Puerto Rican Summer will it be able to operate...?

In reply to the laptop... I have a Dell Vostro 1500 but I am looking to upgrade to a Sanger NP9285 17" from Powernotebooks** com

    Peace...

  • @dalesalsa I just answered that question below :)

  • @dalesalsa Where I live we reach 120 degrees each year on summer, I have used it on the outside (not with direct sun) and it witstands it very well, just don't leave it on direct sunlight for a lot of time or the inside components will melt

  • @OZPerpetue awesome thanks man.... You are the first to answer my question! thanks bro!!

  • @dalesalsa

I don't own this unibody but all macbook pros are notorious for their heat and lack of proper ventilation. The only vents on my MBP are tiny gaps surrounding the hinges that hold the LCD to the body. When mine overheats, it down-clocks the CPU and Apple sees that as a better solution than providing adequate active cooling & ventilation. That's the price you for form over function. Still a great laptop, but avoid and get a desktop if you're concerned about heat.

  • "The latch is ... magnetic, which has positives and negatives."

    PUN!!!!

  • "the keys didnt light up" -lol

  • This was an awesome video. You gotta love Apple. My channel is dedicated to their products actually. I don't want to sound like I am spamming or anything, but I really would appreciate it if you could check out my channel. I have been putting work into my videos and they have almost no views so it would be greatly appreciated if you could help me out by looking at my channel and possibly subscribing.

  • ill actually sub if u sub. im a fan of apple myself. so why not subscribe to someone you have stuff in common with. LOL! Thanks,

    -BabiLocks

    P.S. GREAT VIDEO!

  • sorry but this is really boring. Music in the backround probably would make it better

  • too true lol

  • he`s right

  • NO one cars about your first computer we came to see a macbook pro

  • lovelydiva06 the 17" macbook pro has 8 hours battery life lol

  • Not secure? That's a pretty strange criticism. It's can't lock but it's pretty damn stiff - mine is at least. A more understandable flaw is that opening it can cause you to leave finger smudges right where the iSight is located.

  • when does the 2010 version come out or is it out already?

  • @zakattakk1 the new version should be announced in 27 january and released shortly after.

  • 6 hours of battery life, thats sweet, i give apple a pat on the back for that one, no other brand on the market that i know of has battery life that last that long, you'll get about 3 hours max with other brands, according to what your doing maybe even less

  • @lovelydiva06 its really 7 hours for 13 and 15 and 8 hours for 17

  • @lovelydiva06 theres a computer with 10 hours

  • my macbook pro 15 latch is very secure, i could pick it up and hold it by the sides without holding the screen and it wont open!

  • It would be nice if mine would do that

  • @Zeth2571 it might be because of the size difference! yours is like 2 pounds heavier.

  • its called a mini display port

  • 9 minutes and you don't even mention / discuss the screen size? Waste

  • He said it within the first 5 seconds.

  • ya 17 inch dude the thing is a beast only get it if you plan on keeping it in one place or are replacing a desktop computer but if you do that might as well get an iMac

  • only 30 gigs of memory? you mean storage space?

  • i want to get the 15 inch macbook pro for $1,699.00, and upgrade to the specifications of the 17 inch. How would i do this ??? thanks....

  • i would suggest that u just buy the 15 inch that has the specs of the 17 inch, i know it cost more but it would run you up a lot more to buy another hard drive, all new ram, and a new processor. now to install these components would cost u even more unless you know how to. i suggest that you buy the one that 2,299. i know thats a little pricey but it will save you money in the long run.

  • How big is the Macbook Pro screen for the 17 inch?

  • @HUSTLINISMYGAME 17 inches

  • 17 inch you idiot

  • @HUSTLINISMYGAME Your fucking retarded use your head dumbass, 17 inch maybe, I don't know if a Macbook pro 17inch has a 13 inch screen right, wow.

  • WTF? 17 inch is the screen size.

  • 17 inches !

  • wheres the rest of the keyboard and the hdmi port.

  • Haaaa I hope no one believes you

  • yeh thats true also, but I dont turn to ebay for big purchases.

  • I just baught a 17 inch macbook pro with 500gb 720 rpm, 4gb ram, and antiglare display for 2530 (with tax). CANT WAIT TILL I GET IT!!!!

  • I just ordered mine off ebay today, same specs but I payed 1700 after cashback with free 2 day shipping and Applecare until 2012. You can save a ton of money by buying it on eBay versus directly from Apple, especially with cashback from eBay, Bing and Bigcrumbs.

  • I also want to jump from my old Dell Inspiron 600m to this MacBook :)

  • It apple store dumb but not mac

And it's an apple laptop not a mac laptop duuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhh

  • I finally bought a 17" 3.06Ghz, 4GB RAM, 256GB SSD MacBook Pro it still says it's in Shanghai, china though it's been like that for 2 days now, well three for them D: The Wait is killing me :0 Got my HP Wireless Printer from them today though : D

  • @Zsatanica666

    thank you...

  • @ZSatanica666 why are you saying that about him?

  • is it possible to put windows vista/7 on there withouth taking almost all the RAM memory?

  • If you have 4 GB installed, you can give WIndows realistically up to 3 GB, but I would give Vista 2 and keep 2 for OSX. Better yet, install a flavor of Linux and give it 1 GB as well as XP and give XP also 1 GB. You would do this using virtual Box, Parallels or VMWare. BTW - Windows 7 runs much better on the Mac than Vista ever did. You can switch on the fly between the 3 OS's. I do this on a black MacBook. A 17" is on my list for when I retire in a couple of years.

  • Yes you can. You don't need to do anything with ram

  • yes.

  • dude i made the exact same transition and i love the 17" macbook pro.

  • Dude your old computer is so like mine! I've been using an Acer Aspire 5310 (Intel Celeron M 1.6GHz, 512MB RAM - Now 1.5GB - 60GB HDD, No Webcam/Bluetooth, Vista Basic - now Ultimate) and *hopefully* I'll be getting me 17" MacBook Pro 3.06, 500GB, 8GB in December!

    It's a pretty decent upgrade :P

  • vendo una lap top macbook pro 17 pulgadas 21000 pesos

  • Do you work for Apple? there is a guy with two other people on the apple site and one looks JUST like you

  • Nope, I don't work for them. I'm still in college

  • Lol whats up with your hair

  • proper chicken grease!

  • I think the keyboard on the 17 inch looks kinda funny, it's so small compared to the actual computer. the 13 inch looks the best in my opinion with 15 inch being close second

  • The express card slot and two extra inches is worth paying 200 more, I'm my opinion

  • bigger is not always better im buying the 13 or 15 inch

  • 13 or 15" sucks dick..it has only 2 usb ports and a piece of shit sd card slot...at least the 17" has 3 usb ports (still sucks) and a expresscard slot where you can get firewire or usb adapters to get more ports.

  • i have the 13 inch and its perfect size

  • 3:25 Wow whats in that jar looks like fingers lol

  • lol! No they are little hot sausages. They are very good :)

  • Best $2500 ive ever spent xD

  • Wow! Dell to this awesome mac! Great choice!

  • im getting mine this week!

  • btw the small port is mini-DVI

  • no, it's mini displayport

unibody macs don't have mini DVI anymore

  • i'm thinking on getting a macbook pro, just dont know if i want the 15" or the 17" its for college and personal use.

  • i personally want the 17 in and am saving up for it.

but you can get a 15in for cheaper and still have the same specs. theyre both pretty light and both run perfectly. it just depends on if you want a bigger or smaller screen

  • 17!!

  • 17 inch isnt that handy to transport, im buying a 15 inch pro because of that

  • nice unboxing video dude

    how much is it?????

i want to buy this maybe next week

  • Chech on the web site...

  • it cost like 2500

  • It´s 2299 Euros or 2499$.

  • Excellent review! Enjoy your macbook pro.

  • Thank you

  • either u just got out of the shower or u need 2 take 1

  • I had just got out of the shower lol

  • lol

  • hey, zeth, is the macbook 17 worth the money or is it overpriced and should i get the 15 inch and save some money. and what configurations did u buy urs at.

  • It really depends on what your needs are. I got the 17 bec I am a graphic tech major. So the bigger screen and more power was worth it for me. I got the 2.9 GHz Processor and 4 GB of ram that I'm going to upgrade to 8 when Snow leopard comes out.

  • lol @ Infantyman725

  • are you able to play crysis full power on that mac?

  • I only tried it with boot camp

No I was only able to play on High. The "Very High" was grayed out :(

  • ahhh thats fine for me haha :P. i just wanna run D2 and SC2 when it comes out. thanks for the hep zeth :p

  • "the quality has gone in half"

    what?

  • The screen of my old Dell was going bad. It had only about half the brightness it did when it was new. And it didn't show colors very well either.

  • dude you are stuppid that isn´t the macbook pro the macbook pro is from apple not dell.

  • Did you watch the whole video?

I know the difference between a mac and a dell. I showed the dell to let people know what I was using before I got the mac.

  • lmfao hahahaha rohits such a dumbass :P
