Thank you for this posting. It's interesting to see that in central Crete even many hundreds of years after the Minoans, there was still so much regard, respect, rank and honor for women---such as the woman buried here at "65 years old or so" and the much younger one beside her. They were laid to rest covered in gold, with rare goods like bronze Phoenician-style lamps....Imagine the knowledge and history remembered in the mind of this elder woman.
