We all have to work, but not many of us think about contributing to humanity in positive ways when we work for companies we work for, we are concern about the what's in it for me, we have families to feed, school, and raise. Google has created a great balance between work and play. Think about when you first saw their search engine. Just a box, search button and their name, look@ what they have to offer you when you search for what you are looking for! Incredible. I want to work there. A goal.

Well Travel Channel had a show called Extreme Workplaces and Google was on it but I didn't see any bedrooms there but they did show the laundry facilities.

The concept of "evil" is subjective and therefor there will be no peer reviewed articles on why anything is evil or not.
They're just as evil as any major coorporation is imo. details could be given but its not my job or my main interest to prove to the world that particular coorps. are good or bad. my response was just how i felt about a video of a typical "evil" coorp. trying to mask itself as a great thing.

I did my research, They created and released the most amazing free program ever (google earth). They continue to expand on it and offer it free. They never advertise and they offer their employees free: food, laundry, massage, cars, and gym services. My verdict "NOT EVIL".

Wal-Mart does, inevitably, rub the local small-time competition out of existence anywhere they rear their ugly buildings. If outsourcing and hiring asians in sweatshops for $5 a day in Taiwan is included in the business plan of what you consider a "green" and "efficient" establishment, you should probably take an entry level econ and world religions course at your local community college, and burn whatever literature you were recommending.
How in the world is Wal-Mart close to this FANTASTIC work environment???? Wasn't Wal-Mart in a lawsuit from its employees for over-exploiting their work hours?? Making them work during their lunch or regular breaks.

WalMart is a great community to work in as well. There's so many different positions in the company that it's jut not about retail and cheap pricers and bargain hunting. WaMart has its own lawyers, doctors, engineers, computer programmers, etc. A lot of people feel negative about Wal Mart for what ever reason but in this economy I'm happy I have a job. God Bless!
What's interesting is that the corporations, at least the good ones like google, realize that a company is a community FIRST. They're recreating all the elements of what tribes used to have, down to the very basic needs. Some see this as a reason to never leave work....I'm not sure what the life-family balance is for google. But its most certainly a place designed for innovative work. They love their people.
Google isn't JUST about education, although the vast majority of people do go to a-list schools. They are also taking into account your ability as a human being to innovate. Who cares if you have a degree in engineering from Harvard if all you can do is work with existing ideas. The free food is a great incentive for me lol. OH, the reason they have so many leisure activities on site is because people work so hard their brains would explode if they didn't. It allows people to work longer hours.
Interesting fact, i was just talking to my cousin about google head quarters, and we both agreed that its all about ideas. Any idea that is worth telling others about is worth having. I wish i could work for them, i'd come up with some crazy wacky ideas that people _need_ and make tons of dough.

What's interesting is that the corporations, at least the good ones like google, realize that a company is a community FIRST. They're recreating all the elements of what tribes used to have, down to the very basic needs. Some see this as a reason to never leave work....I'm not sure what the life-family balance is for google. But its most certainly a place designed for innovative work. They love their people.

Google isn't JUST about education, although the vast majority of people do go to a-list schools. They are also taking into account your ability as a human being to innovate. Who cares if you have a degree in engineering from Harvard if all you can do is work with existing ideas. The free food is a great incentive for me lol. OH, the reason they have so many leisure activities on site is because people work so hard their brains would explode if they didn't. It allows people to work longer hours.

Interesting fact, i was just talking to my cousin about google head quarters, and we both agreed that its all about ideas. Any idea that is worth telling others about is worth having. I wish i could work for them, i'd come up with some crazy wacky ideas that people _need_ and make tons of dough.
