Throwing Money: qawwali music is from before c.d.s and cassettes.  they used to perform at shrines or functions. qawwali groups are professional musicians - but playing without ticktets.

anyone could attend. playing was voluntary - and paying was voluntary.

As far as I am informed, sufism is a islamic concept and though Islam acknowledges Jesus, Moses and The Virgin Mary but you wouldn't find any song/qawwali with reference to them from Christainity or Judaism's point of view. I remember listening to songs with passing references to them in a verse or two but not a song/qawwali dedicated entirely to them.
