  • i charge £30 per wheel , strip and rebuild , plus £60 for heavy duty s/s spokes , plus any anodizing or powdercoating you may want

  • thumbs up to the music, good pick.

  • how much did it cost for the rim and spokes

  • @mo2tercross I really dont even remember,maybe 120-150 bucks for both

  • i found a place that laces a wheel for only 60 trued

  • @yz81guy good deal

  • @yz81guy great deal. I got quoted 600 by a kawi dealer. So i bought a truing stand.

  • Great vid.. thought about doing mine since I want to powder coat them. When you run up the spokes initially with the screw driver, is it much torque? I thought about just taking the average exposed threads of the spoke to initially tighten before truing.

  • @woppini No, i went around ins tages,I just got them started by a few threads to make sure they would not fall off(the nipple).then I gradudually go around tightening side to side little by little rotating from different areas of the wheel.

  • @woppini you can get torque spoke wrenches so that would be the best way other than screwing your self

  • @woppini theres a tool you can get that tells you the torque on each spoke/nipple

  • fuckyea i listen to alice when workin on my bike in garage!

  • @DecaPierce CoOl !

  • great video man

i had to relace my back rim because i let som kid ride my bike and he crashed into someone and ripped six spokes out of my rim

  • @oooMTBMTBooo been there done that

  • so is that wheel still holding out ? I would have liked to see evry step you did to true it ....everybody tells me not to even try but i did some research and its about half and half .... people saying do and people saying dont ... I think i'll just buy a new one laced ...good video tho

  • @jadafi ..it's doin good and this was not hard all the spokes are the same size and i just took a picture of the wheel before hand so I could look at how it needed to be.also found a few videos that were helpfull.like I said it really wasn't that difficult at all.I taped a penclil on my swing arm to guide the trueing progress

  • what song is this?

  • @jadafi right turn by Alice in chains

  • Nice job and F ya! .. it takes plenty of COURAGE! The first time I tried it, I went with pure instinct and warped the hell out of my rim. Had to raplace everything! I like the sped up time coding and no nonsesnse instruction of it all! 100 years ago I released a VHS "learning to wheelie". Good tape. Very detailed. I have to re-release it sometime. I will adopt some sped up sections to keep it moving!

  • Ran that bike pretty hard! Nice job on the spokes, out of everything on the bike changing a tire is prolly the most feared!

Disc brake, reminds me of having to tear my CR500 caliper apart thing was stuck shut.

  • Yeah that's why I dont f**k with it...(TIRE)

  • nothing like the satisfaction of doing it yourself and saving money :)

  • a big old...."That's what I'm talkin bout".....!

  • A guy was selling a nice 05 around here a couple of years ago but I didn't have 3500 to drop on a new bike...
