"Microsoft have done nothing wrong in this ad, you just pick out tiny flaws."
Fabricating fake studies is not a "tiny flaw" and it's not the first time Microsoft has done it. They've been legally charged for doing the same thing in the past.
I don't see how you could possibly relate that to what I was talking about, unless you were deliberately changing the subject to avoid addressing it.
Judging by your profile page and recent comments on other videos, it looks like you're a fanboy. That would explain your incapability of looking at any of this objectively.
A Fan boy, No. I still use Google Chrome as it is a great browser and I used Google Search Engine up to only a few weeks ago. Until I worked out Bing was superior.
I meant a fanboy of the company, not the product. Just look at your profile and comments.
Now look at my comments. At what point did I say anything about the product? I'm talking about the fraud being committed by the company with this ad. In response you blindly defend them with nothing remotely resembling intelligent discourse. You repeatedly ignore everything I say and bring up irrelevant topics, and you show no sign of stopping.
"In a study, 15 Google users were recruited by a qualitative research firm"
They are making a direct statement here. It's not just weasely ad words or personal opinion. It's a claim that requires backup. The "firm" has not been named, and the conditions and sample of the test do not constitute what any real research firm would do.
This is fraudulent and you know it. You're just trying to downplay it now to avoid embarrassment.
They are only using FIFTEEN PEOPLE as a sample and the "qualitative research firm" is NOT NAMED (I mentioned this earlier, but as you can see Microsoft DELETED MY COMMENT), and there is NO INFORMATION about this "study" that can be found outside of the ad you see here.
IF this were a real study, they WOULD need to be "locked up" and monitored for a week in order to ensure they were actually NOT using Google the whole time.
But obviously, this is NOT a real study - it's acting.
The claim is being made by Microsoft that this was done by a research firm.
So are you saying it's acceptable research when there are only 15 people studied, and no effort taken in actually ensuring that the circumstances of the study are true?
Or are you agreeing that it's a fake study and saying there's nothing wrong with that? Well there is, it's called lying - something Microsoft is routinely found guilty of.
mackenziepricee wrote: "You still have flaws in your case. She never said she traveled, she organised it."
You are not paying attention. The issue here is that it's highly unlikely that in one given week, someone among just 15 people would happen to be planning a trip. It's blatantly an actor selling the "travel" feature of Bing.
seriously? THINK of the keywords? idiots. google is probably the best browser ever. google chrome is great too! ask is horribly annoying, yahoo is more for shopping, bing is for idiots.
Right, so if Google were the small search engine, and Google asked people who used Bing to try their search engine for a week. And the video was the same.. People would be rating this 5 stars because it's Google.
You forgot the terms of your hypothetical situation. If Google was a small unknown search engine, no one would know who they were. So why would anyone be rating this high just because it's Google?
You're forgetting that at one time Google WAS the little guy. They beat the big guys through actual merit, not relying on hype, false advertising, or pre-installing a browser with their site as the default homepage on everyone's system.
wonder how much they were paid ;) what a big propaganda campaign. I can tell you many things I missed on the first few searches after trying it: starting with the ability to search for PDF files, searches in GoogleBooks, a useful News search engine, etc.etc. I also disliked the look of Bing (including the font for the search result). Then I also found out that Bing filters my search in Chinese... so why use it?
I did..

FAIL - I recognized at least 3 of these Google users as people who've recently worked at MS. Remember the fake (and very lame) Mojave ads?

Bing is awesome but Google is Amazing.

How was Microsoft not revealed until after? The bing website advertises the fact that it's from Microsoft.
At 1:50 in the video, why does Isabel happen to be traveling? I thought she was in the middle of a one-week "study"?
The least you could do is not put your actors in such obviously manufactured environments
TazG2000 2 years ago
What are you suggesting. Microsoft should lock up the people in the study in the bottom of a basement for a week and make sure they all use Bing?
Get real buddy.

YOU get real.

So now this is a scientific study?
You still have flaws in your case. She never said she traveled, she organised it.
