I have been told I "talk white" all my life. I never even new any white people outside of school, and they were my teachers not my friends. i agree with what Bill is saying about the effects of "today's" rap music, but, the origin of rap music didn't "have" to use all these negative words and imagery to become a successful form of music. it wasn't until corporate america decided that hip hop could be beneficial as a business that all this negativity started. but, i never hear, in all these interviews and tv shows, anyone mentioning the real root causes. these rappers don't own the business, the owners do and they have the final say.

So you have people in a situation where I can work for Mickey Ds for minimum wage or get a key from an OG and get paid 10K weekly. In Australia, Country Music is very popular. But among "Aboriginal" children, violent rap is popular. Metal is popular too, but rap is more pervasive.
Among Native American children it's the same thing. Angry rap lyrics are a favorite.
I think rap appeals to young people with a lot of collective anger.

Whenever the girls from affluent families start "slumming", you have a problem for both sides. Read the book "Burned Alive" and you'll see what I mean.
I sometimes wonder if it's a power trip. The women are attracted to the "bad" men, particularly when they're the kind of men that would "serve" them on the job.
Why do you think in every romance novel, the Princess rides off with the pirate or the bandit?

Bill Cosby is the truth. I saw how gradual while growing up how the media capitalized on the word, "nigga" even though it was between blacks that it was used lightly. Hip-hop is another form of punk that has been corrupted without recognition. It is the tool of the propaganda masters.

What Bill said is absolutely true. When there is a black kid who decides to take education seriously and try to do better, he is "acting white." It has been said to me a number of times until I got to high school and college. Now a lot of those people that said that are congratulating me and saying that I did good things.

That line about white kids liking gangster rap is interesting.
One the Upper West Side, I've seen upper-class white kids hanging out with foul-mouthed blacks. The white kids get a "thrill" from this, and the black kids like the attention. They also act even worse to look tough for the whites.
I had a white student (from Bensnhurst) who liked hanging out with lousy black kids. I told the parents of both kids to keep their kids apart.

Your missing his simple point. Every race should be responsible for what it is portraying to majority America. Per capita, black Americans are more self destructive than any other. Mr. Cosby makes very profound valuable points. I have the utmost respet for him, and the message he is trying to get across. Its time for people of all races to police themselves. The black drug dealers need to be policed by the black community. The racest white sect's need to be policed by the white community.

American needs birth control. The more teenager on the pill, the smaller the next generation of bad kids.
My worst students were mostly born to teenage mothers. Now if you look at Italy, you'll see that they have a LOW teen pregnancy rate and a HIGH abortion rate (even more than the USA, which has more people.
We need TV commercials encouraging teens to use condoms, combined-pills, depro-shots, IUD's, vasectomies, tubal-ligations, etc.
