We love Porto Moniz and would recommend it to anyone. However, the north of Madeira does tend to be a little cooler and more windy than the south. So, it really depends on what you are looking for in a holiday. But, on a fine sunny day, the volcanic rock pools are ideal.
That score terrified me. I was really looking forward to booking for a week, but now I'm filled with trepidation and panic. Who knows what horror lies behind the giant doors of the aquarium...
