  • I've flown a coaxial helicopter before , im Looking for a New helicopter . So is this THe right One for me or Not ?

    Very good video !!!

  • @McChilla1 Thanks for the kind words. This is pretty big step up from a coaxial. I did it, but think I'm an exception. If you have a club or people around you that have flown Collective Pitch helicopters then go for it, if not you may want to start out with the little mCPx. It's collective pitch and works out of the box.

I have a 250, 450, & 500 and I spend more time building/tinkering/tweaking with them, than I do flying them. I enjoy it, but others just like to fly.

    Ricky

  • wow, very good, 8s very good. perfect gyro.

  • wow, very good. perfect gyro.

  • What gyro and tail servo are you using? My 250 with gp750 and ds420 on tail doesn't snap to a stop nearly that nicely. Then again it could be on my end since this is my first building experience.

  • @rjc003 I am running the Logictech 2100T and 3100G combo. I also have a preloaded bearing spacer set from a guy on helifreak called heimjoint. It greatly reduces the slop in the tail. The 250 was my first helicopter build too.

  • Hi Rick,

What mode do you use for the video? idle or normal?

  • @calvinkong I have always flown in idle up. Since this was my first CP heli, most of the 3D guys told me to learn to hover in idle up as soon as I could. So after about 10 flights, I switched to idle up and never looked back. Plus the constant RPM's help keep the tail locked in better. In normal mode, the tail would swing out on me some in pitch pumps.

  • I like the motion of flying like true helicopter!!

  • Great flying! Figure8s at 3rd month thats very commendable! 5*!

  • @artyflo Thanks! You should see me now. All I could do was figure 8's inside. Now over a year later I got a TREX 500. The first time I took it outside I did HUGE figure 8's and FFF. It was so big and easy to see, I could fly it like an airplane!

Then I took the 250 outside and flew it around like an airplane (although much closer than the 500) Now I can do loops and rolls and flips. The 250 got more fun after I learned FFF with the 500.

  • You progress very fast Bro, I look up to you. Would love to see you doing loops, rolls & flips. Post 'em up here cool!

  • pretty good flying for only being at it for 3 months...5 stars!

  • what battery and charger are you using? and the flytime? (in normal mode). Thanks.

  • I've never flown in normal mode, I found out early on that the TREX 250 likes head speed. So I learned how to fly in Idle-up with a flat 100% throttle curve.

I fly the Align 3S 850mAh & the Zippy 3S 800mAh batteries in my TREX. I fly for about 5 minutes just hovering and doing circuits like you see above and use my Triton Jr. to charge them. Each 5 minute flight takes about 550mAh back in.

  • nice flying dude 5 stars!

  • Thank you.

  • Very nice flying there mate.Good eight's too. 5* from me.;-)

  • Thank you, I've really been practicing my figure eights because that is about all I can do. Just hovering it in front of me gets boring. I'm still not comfortable flying really fast, as it gets small quick, but every day I'm getting better.
