First frame of animation of the skuls crumbling, I always saw a face. First off I see a small circular face in the top half, but just now I see a creepier face in the lower half.

Also, another tip for the second Wario fight. Get him to drop in the middle of the arena, like yu did for the second hit, and stand on top of the Mario statue without hitting Wario. As Wario jumps up underneath you, he'll get hurt. Stand still and you'll get three hits on him in a row.

you CAN save, you have to go back to the beginning where the three pipes are labeled A, B, and C, and whichever you go down will save your progress, so you can actually save 3 different games.

If you got it second hand, it's very likely the battery inside was dead and couldn't hold your save data.
