It's largely a matter of taste and personal preference, I think - as well as the practical aspect of whether a women's style is actually going to fit your individual body shape. Personally I always wear womens' overbust ones but I guess I'm lucky in that I can get stock-sized ones to fit me reasonably well.
Frankly, I think a male corset should only be around the stomach area and not go up to the pecs as woman's corsets do. I've seen them, but cannot find them anymore.
