wow Feb to july to wait i dont think i could lol,but my best friend opened his to Pubela,Mexico last thursday and leaves in march and i always thought it was 3 months for everyone but guess not cause of Visas and passports,i just turned my papers in and i cant stand the wait lol

@projecrunway lol for me i served in the texas mcallen spanish speaking and i'm a sister but i had a 3 week notice from the time I recieved and opened my call to the time I needed to report to the MTC. I had to go when the Lord needed me so I gurentee every person who serves leaves at the exact time the Lord needs them to and when they arrive in the field there are people prepared for them at that time.

@karinasrs2008 really? no way how amazing I may have served some in your area.  I started my mission in 2007 in the MTC reported januaray of 08 to Corpus Christi I was there for about 5 or 6 months than was transfered to Edingburg. Was there for another 6 months I served in Edinburg with sister Cramer, and Sister Ramirez. Than was transfered up to beeville for a transfer and than down to brownsville for my last transfer where I helped train. Its always such a small world in the church :)

Thank you for sharing this special moment, congratulations. I remember what it was like for me when got my call, to the Australia Perth Mission in October 1982. Remember you are serving the Lord in the greatest work you could be doing in your young life. Read the book of Mormon and build your testimony as you will be bearing it often as part of your calling. A couple of scripture D&C section 4, Jacob 5:71-72.

FELICIDADES!!!!. Enjoy yoour mission to it's fullest. I remember the feeling. It was worth 18 and a half months of my life and it WILL be worth 24 months of yours. D y C 4:1-7 was always a great reminder of why I served the Lord. GIVE THEM HEAVEN and carry with you the love of your family, your polynesian friends and the ukulele, and above all the Lord's.
