I know not always. What I mean is it's almost cliche these days. I believe in God, and Christ, but I just wanted to point out the trend that it seems that those who have a large emptiness try to most strongly identify themselves with organisations, especially religious organisations, not always through belief of their own, as though they seem to think the organisation is their crutch, not their faith.
I respect anyone's opinion as long as it doesn't make broad sweeping generalizations that are based on emotions like jealousy and anger, and that are just baseless or propoganda driven. You seem quite well grounded, and I respect that.

Well, Christianity is based on the idea that some zombie died for them thousands of years ago. That's no more stupid, it's just less noticable since it's fantasy, not sci-fi, and scientology doesn't have several hundred years of cultural relevance behind it.

Actually, I go after people on either side. I don't care at of for this organization, but when others attack it by making generalizations about religion, the US or other things that are just wrong, I take exception and call them on it. Ihave even had words with one or 2 Aussies, and along the way I make derogatroy comments about the place knowing it will tweak them when in reality I think it must be a great place based on what visitors have told me and my own learning.

If you are only talking "religion" than I can agree with you whole heartedly but one must examine the tennents of a beliefs system and not the actions of it's followers. The very structure of CoS encourages predatory behaviour, as opposed to the theology of pacifist religions like Xtianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism etc, that encourage enlightenment through understanding and peace.
