Mark thanked everyone but his bus driver!!! He even made it a point to mention the other finalists. Thing is, Mark meant every word he said.

I think the speech was great and he is a great player but I don't think he deserved the Heisman. The award is supposed to go to the most outstanding player not the best player on the best team right? Unfortunately it seems that most of the media voters dont look at it that way. Which is why if OSU wins out and Tyrelle Pryor doesnt play awful he will win the Heisman. Sad but true.

thats mostly true but not necessarily...tebow won it when florida was like 9-3, or 10-2 headed to the captial one bowl against michigan, or the outback bowl...i cant remember...ingram won because he gained over 1600 yards against the toughest defenses in the country, all while not even carrying the full load since his backup(richardson) gained over 700...if he handled 90% of the load like most running backs do, he wouldve had well over 2000, and nobody would question his heisman

I have never seen a more dominant team than the ALA crimson tide. They really came out ready to play against UF in the SEC championship game. I just wish they would have played UF as poorly as they did Texas. ALA looked totally different in the NC game. They were still the best overall team this year. You cant argue that.

are you serious, bradford had over 4700 yards passing and a qb rating of a little over 180, plus 50 tds and only 8 ints, tebow deserved it when he got it his sophomore yr, but bradford clearly deserved that heisman with the numbers he put up..not to mention he threw for about 2000 more yards than tebow, and i know tebow ran a lot too, but its obvious that bradford was the heisman winner that year, and tebow wasnt as good in '08 as in '07, so why would he win if his numbers fell off

He got the most 3rd place votes of all-time, and had he been involved in all of the ballots, he would have crushed Bradford. OU had 3 tough games that year, maybe 4, while Tebow went through the SEC, and lost 1 game, and then UF smashed OU by 10 in the BCS Title game. When Archie Griffin won it 2ce, his Jr. stats were better than his Sr. stats, but they didn't want Tebow to get it 2ce.
