yeah, i was having some problems there. i think the vcr head just needed to be cleaned really well. I remember that was the BEST i could get the tracking. Any further either way, and it was jumping bad, or way more squiggily lines.

If the SS came with a 350, and was fast or something, then MAYBE, All this crap would be ok.

actually no your wrong is so many aspects. The SS was offered in bench seat for starters, they do not have a body kit, and monte carlos are not supose to be comfy. Thats what the Regal was for. You should look more into the history of the Monte bc the 70-72 were all out muscle cars before the 1973 emissions clamp down.

older models and special editions are becoming more and more rare and very hard to get, you are right though, a standard 5th, 6th or 7th gen is rather easy to get, but that's just a standard line. To find a nice 86 or so monte is near impossible because theyre all molested.

i've seen some shitty runninng gm's for sure. but this thing had over 200,000 miles on it, and it Always ran like it was brand new... and we BEAT the shit out of it constantly. the one time the coil suddenly went, and the cat filled up with gas, and melted, so when i got a new coil, it would barely run, but when i hollowed out the cat, it ran perfect again! alot of power too, from this beast. i think something eventually happened to the starter... engine never died. 305

eventually we ran out of tires for it, it was stuck in drive ALL THE TIME, even in park and reverse, reverse would just lock up the drive shaft, because it was both gears at once, and park would still try to push, but it was locked in park. didn't have any brakes, but all that was fine! the car rocked so much none of that mattered. but then , it wouldn't crank fast enough to start any more. so we bailed on it, to get new cool stuff!

This car was alot of fun, i bought it a few years ago for 600 bucks, then we put it in my friends name, and he drove it every where and constantly beat it, stunt style. i did film this, thats him driving. he's driving in all the videos we have of that thing. i had no license at the time. do you have a mc?
