  • @ThePrasadmagar yes the used brain power

  • hey listen... all I know is that Alexander the great took over the known world with the Phalanx... yea.

  • the greeks actually lost to the immortals. asians are too strong

  • I don't care if this is just a movie, enough people to believe this is history already, an old men argued with me when I pointed out 300 men can never hold off 10s of thousands.

  • I hate movies of historical events without accuracy because it's misleading. Redclift is another example, but worse, based on a novel of history that itself wasn't correct then being not correct to that novel. Lol

  • @leoachilles The director of this movie said that he didn't try to show what really happened in a historical extent.

He said that he just wanted to make a action movie, and that 300 spartans against thousands of other warriors seemed like a good idea :)

  • 'brave ametures.... they do their part.' i always lol when he says that

  • The dislikes were from xerxes and that troll thing

  • Xerxes probably had Wilt numbers.

  • This film is likely a huge exaggeration and heavily fictionalized version of what really happened.

But I love it. By God I do.

  • this movie was so off man...but it was entertaining.

  • it was a great movie.regardless what hollywood did to the story, it was still one helluva stand

  • He fucked that big guy up!

  • The Spartans literally demonized the Persians.

  • All of you elitist faggots need to shut the fuck up, it's a movie for God's sake. Go stroke your e-peen somewhere else.

  • I hate how people comment on how this movie isn't always historically correct. If they're so smart, they shouldn't care. They should just watch the movie for pure entertainment. It's a movie, not a history book.

  • seriously.fun as it is, this is bullshit.

  • Immortals..we put there name to the test

  • 54 of the viewers were persian

  • LOL

  • Ninjas?

  • So Persians were actually orcs from middle earth?

    What a dumb movie.

  • Spartans: Immortals? hah. Immortals my arse!

  • @jjammer17 @PhamvanDong it's a movie

  • There were actually 300 true spartan warriors, 2000 regular spartan warriors ( light infatry filled up with peasants ) and 7000 soldiers from Atena

  • @MisterZmajko ummm no not at all srry

  • It's a good film but far too historically inaccurate, would of been better to make a film with a balance between historical accuracy and good fight scenes.

  • I was a humen like you then i got a cut at the knee (4:05)

    LOL

  • that big guy is like a thug from dead island..

  • OMG!!! Immortals=Akimbo noobs!!!

  • And thats why i have the defiant spartan in TF2

  • There were 300 Spartans yes but there were 1,000 other Greek soldiers that wore the same thing. Also the immortals had no masks, they carried wicker shields and spears. The Spartans would have remained in phalanx formation for the hole battle and not used swords until the phalanx had broken near the end of the battle. There was no cavalry charge the heavy horsemen of the Persian empire were never taken off the boat. The Spartans also wore Lamilar armor so they were not bear chested.

  • @jjammer17 And here was me thinking this was historically accurate.

  • @jjammer17 its a movie, not a documentary, i understand why you say this but still its a movie and people with interest in ancient wars will look this sort of information up, on ther own.

  • @jjammer17 are u mentally retarded??? 1st do you no what a movie is? a place for entertaiment? 2nd no there were not 1000 other greek soldiers there in fact spartans lost the fight because of them not being there. so the persains got behind the spartans 3rd the phalanx breaks apart in about 30 minuts or less and spartans dont follow the "rules of the phalanx" they do it to scare the enemy then attach after the frist wave. im going to school for military tactics. ur so stupid

  • @captonclawXBL yes, in the end of the movie, 1000 greeks soldiers were comming for the revenge, and they would have lost less people

  • @jjammer17 True, but it's a movie. What are ya' gonna do?

  • @jjammer17 your smart

  • @jjammer17 yeah what the heck! also the immortals were not orc/goblin LOTR rip offs. pure hollywood flair. geez

  • @jjammer17 I dont think they try to make it that much historicly precise, since there are beasts and non human beings in the movie, sorry for bad spelling, but anyways

  • @jjammer17 the spartans would have been in the front and the other greeks would have probably not seen 1 minute of combat the entire time until the spartans were dead. Also, how intimidating would guys with wicker shields and spears look? its a movie lol

  • @jjammer17 Just makes it look cooler. allow them

  • @jjammer17 yeah but this is based on the mythology of the fight and not the actual history of it.

  • @jjammer17 do you think that moonster exists

  • @jjammer17 ITS BASED ON A FUCKING COMIC BOOK NOT REAL LIFE!!!! WHY DO YOU THINK THE SPARTIANS ARE TRAVELING ACROSS THE LAND WITH NO PROVISIONS OR TENTS, JUST A SPEAR AND SHIELD! ITS 100% FOR THE COOL FACTOR. STOP TRYING TO ACT ALL SMART BECAUSE YOU THINK YOUR THE ONLY ONE WHO KNOWS A FEW FACTS.

  • @TrippleH655321 This comment sums it all up. I'f you're trying to prove this movies historical inaccuracy, you're missing the point and you are retarded

  • @whathehellbombit Lol tru dat.

  • @jjammer17 Over analyzing the movie 300's historical accuracy = epic fail. I guess we should watch Inglorious Basterds for reference to World War II? idiot...

  • @jjammer17 dude, its a comic book/ movie ok

  • No man is immortal against a Spartan

  • I can't tell if they are Super Mutants, or Orcs.

  • @vtc193 there are normal humans but they got aids and tired of life so they join the war there were high at that time

  • Sons of 4chan!Of 9gag!Of Youtube! My brothers! I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come, when the courage of internet users fails! When weforsake our brothers and break all bonds of peer to peer. But it is not this day. An hour of governments and corrupted files, when the age of internet comes crushing down! But it is not this day. This day we fight! By all that you hold dear in this good internet. I bid you STAND! Users of the Internet! For Megaupload.
  • if spartans wear a body armor i think it will be more difficult to kill them

  • @viperwolf97 only pussies need body armor.

+ Body armor was pretty inefficient back in the day. Metalworking and available materials was much more crude, and you had to sacrifice a lot of mobility for a fairly small amount of protection.

  • @StOnion Actually in reality the Hoplites DID wear heavy armor

  • @StOnion Sorry but you underestimate the metalworking of the Greeks they did wear armor lots of hit made of Bronze and they did not need to move because they stayed in one spot the whole battle in a phalanx formation until they were surrounded.

  • @pliosaurus 1 it was their captain 2 They did a surprise atack (ambush) 1+2=efficient

  • If you look really carefully, the persian soldiers do absolutely nothing in defence when the spartans charge. They open their bodies even more like they're saying to the spartans "here, stick me in my stomach with arms wide open"

    Ridiculous.

  • @PhamvanDong

    Truth is Stranger than fiction.

  • @PhamvanDong Maybe the movie is rediculous but the Greek never die!!! In every war, greeks fight with honor!!! We are 10 milion Greeks, but our honor and our pride make us bilions!!!! ;)

  • the "immortals" were elit light infantry with short spears and bows. they didnt had good defences anyway...but those "immortals" that we se in the movie, are not persian elite. they are ninja's:) αχαχαχαχ and also inside the 10000 "immortals" there were 1000 even more elite soldiers, called the "milofori" (those who carry apples). cause their spears had a golden apple in the top.and they were dressed with expensive clothes and jewlery.not black suites or something...;)

  • @AENAOS1980 thats not the point. u must be familiar with how hollywood likes to exaggerate and change the actual when it comes to reviewing history. the spartans in this movie stand out as the heroes, while the persians as the bad ones. and there for the persian soldiers fight like wussies and untrained cowards in this movie. which was not the truth. also, the persians never deployed their heavy cavarly, that would have crushed the spartans EASILY.

  • @PhamvanDong No shit. this movie says that the Persians were going to enslave the Greeks but the Persians religion forbids slavery.

  • That seagull said NOPE!

  • gay

  • LOOOL the syncronisation voice of the german narrator sounds much more epic! :D

  • knife in the eye lolz

  • 4:50

Leonidas: What an ugly breath is this

  • fuck the police

  • 300 is a myth but what is history is were 500 persains beat and killed 2000s alexander the greats men and if 300 was real why the fuck would you send 300 against70000

  • @Aryan98G woooooowwww!!! its funny how many people know all about this stuff. NO!!! im going to school for this crap. yes it did happen its not a myth.

  • that huge guy looked like barry bonds

  • Spears+Shields vs. Dual Swords.

    Hmm wonder who will win.

  • deadliest in all asia my ass so no accounting for the samuria or ninja who wud of torn there ranks like they where paper

  • @kenoki2010 well seeing as thermopylae took place in 480BC, and the samurai culture first appears in japan over a thousand years later in the ninth century a.d., I think you have your answer for them not featuring here

  • SPARTA!

  • Called the immortals yet it was the Spartans who would become immortal.

  • I thought deadliest warrior already taught us that Spartans beat Ninjas?

  • I'm in the AWESOME part of youtube again.

  • He felt an all to human chill go up his spine.... or perhaps that was dentine ice with cool mint crystals

  • 5:03 Lionidas wins... FATALITY

  • 300 spartans vs (how many) immortals? xD

  • shields OP

  • 4:20 If a Spartan was to loose his shield in battle then he would be exsecuted

  • @TheTurnerBurner This movie wasn't made to be historically accurate, but seeing as they aren't fighting in a phalanx in this scene then they're as good as dead without a shield anyway.

  • You sound like u know a lot about this.

I have to suggest a strategy game called Rome Total War. You can command many factions including the Greek City Stats. It is on PC but you can now get in on apple from the app store if u have one. I know this seems random but it is a very well known game is very fun :)

And just in case u do not know, they are making a second 300 :D

sorry that this message has nothing to do with what u said lol

  • 2:43 NO! his ripped abs :( lol

  • That big guy is Voldemort on roids

  • How Come the spartans had no body armor?

  • @JP8940 Well, this is a movie. Spartans actually used heavy equipment to dodge swords, spears and arrows. The Immortals didn't actually look quite like this. They weren't deformed people, well, maybe some of them were but most of them were just heavinly trained asians with those golden masks you see in the video taken from '300'.

  • @JP8940 coz theyre badass like that, duh.... hahaha

  • hehe ... der Ronny kommt bei 5:15 ins Bild ... doch keine 0 ^^

  • Spartans! what motivates you to fight!?

    "WE ARE ALL UN-EMPLOYEED!"

  • The fat fuck with bad breath at 2:12 reminds me of the same ugly ass in Troy that was sent as a champion to kill Achille. Same actor, same result... I suppose there were no orthodontists back then...

  • Wake Up. This Fight really was before 480 B.C.

  • Immortals ... we put the name to the test

  • 6:46 ooooo helllll naaa

  • I used to fight immortals.....but then I took and arrow to the knee

  • @onlyonmondays1 i used to make skyrim references then I SHUT THE FUCK UP.

  • that sword lodged inside his forearm was very inconvenient for him

  • They piled all of those bodies just to crush one guy. Very efficient.

  • @pliosaurus this guy was the leader of immortals thats why they killed him first

  • @pliosaurus Its to intimidate them...

  • @pliosaurus and that one guy lived.... until he was stabbed.....

  • @pliosaurus yeah, but that one guy was actualy the deadliest immortal. he was the one who tamed the big bastard.

  • @pliosaurus and he didnt actually got crushed... even better lol

  • @pliosaurus you do have to consider though that based on the fact that he was leading the army, and giving them orders, the man they crushed was the highest ranking immortal of the army. so pretty well, they killed the best of the best by crushing him with bodys.

  • @speed150mph i think he made that trap...so he could test if the guy was really imortal....thats why they made a wall..so they would get near and make a surprise attack

  • @pliosaurus lol, in the end, the avalanche didn't even kill him.

  • this is kane and he makes a chokeslam at 2:41

  • will the spartans pay the bills of the greeks?

  • guys.. how did efialdes or w.e hes name was talk to xerxes and tell him about the goath path? i mean come no he was a spartan. if he would of walked in to my base and i was a persian i would execute him right away. UNLESS he said something verry convincing, like "i know a secret way behind the spartans" wich he couldnt of said! cuz they didnt know each others language. can some one help me understand this?

  • @lagreify 1. Ephialtes was not a Spartan. He was a Malian.

    2. In Xerxes' army there were a lot of greek speaking people. There were Greeks from Asia Minor, where there were a lot of greek cities occupied by the Persians. Persians had also Greeks as officers until Alexander's era (Memnon etc). Also, there were Persians who spoke greek & Greeks from greek cities and states like Macedon and Thebes who were following the army.

  • @Lhein33 oh ok thanks

  • dam i didnt know that the power rangers were real

  • Fuckin great movie and scene!!!

  • Immortals is a fuckin' shit, the principal character is sick....

  • Persians... -.-''

  • We meet again, 240p

  • I use to fight immortals, but then i took an arrow to the knee.

  • @gfolife123 and now I FUS RO DAH!

  • INSANE VIDEO

  • this shit never happened there are no monsters like this its bullshit

  • @MrMurti1012 well, eyah. The immortals were basically epic perisan troopers, not ninjas. But still elite.

  • @MrMurti1012 fuking idiot who said its real man?

  • And that is why I don't do drugs

  • This Battle really was before 2500 years. PEOPLE - WAKE UP.

  • Spartan's, Afghan's and Japanese are the bravest ppls on earth. They win against superpowers against all odds, and aren's afraid to die.

  • Uberillortal is a badass

  • Ahh 240 p... like in ye olde times.

  • Xerxes was the king married to Esther in the Bible, he let his power go to his head and thought himself a god, he found out different!

  • well they still got their asses kicked, but immortals know how to fight

  • did he say arcadians or akkaidians

  • 3:30 nice cut hair

  • If they're immortals, why did they die?

  • @StrikingSpark The Immortals weren't some freaky masked ninja-warriors like in the movie, they where just the royal guard of Xerxes, composed by the best Persian soldiers.

The reason of why they were called "Immortals" was because when one of them died, he gets immediately replaced with another soldier who takes his position as well his name, making him look immortal.

  • @DeepEye1994 corect

  • best fight 3:50 to 5:10

  • Bonnie you lied about the poop sack!

  • ok, i started at jackass clips and now im here?

  • the name on the film should be " 300 and 400 arkadiers"

  • So,,,,what are those 47 dislikes FOR?!?!

  • Who was the giant creature that the king killed was it fake or was it a real human in history?

  • @Shadowe37 it was your average Greek jk no but it was added for fun

  • @Kakkapaja Jep. Ja me maksetaa niitte verot.

  • has these men lived in real life? and won unbelivabale battles? or is it just a movie with awsome stuff?

  • @lagreify The battle of Thermopylae is 100% real. It happened in 480 BC; the about 200,000 Persians under Xerxes defeated 300 Spartans & 6,000 other Greeks under Leonidas. The Greeks held off the Persians for 3 days, but they were betrayed; all the other Greeks left the battlefield, only the 300 stayed behind and died to the last man. The Persians passed the Gates & conquered Athens but 1 month later they were crushed in Salamis and 1 year later in Plataea.

  • @Lhein33 thank you.

  • @Lhein33 Dude 300 is myth but ill tell you whats true 500 persains beating 2000s of alexanders men

  • @Aryan98G The film exaggerates and alters some things, that's true; BUT the whole story is true. When you say that 300 is a myth, you mean that the battle never happened or that the history as we know it is false?? That's stupid.

Also, when did 500 Persians defeated Alexander? Do you mean the battle of the Persian Gate? I think that Alexander managed to capture Persepolis, so HE was the winner the same as the Persians were the winners in Thermopylae.

  • @lagreify 300 is a myth

  • @Aryan98G it is not.

  • @lagreify There were not exactly 300. They were about 2000 but the rest is fact as Ancient Greek historians tell us. There were 300 Spartans, 700 Thespians, 400 Thebans. Also, each Spartan had a slave (Helot) who used to take care of his master's armor and weapons and also fought as light infantry (Spartans themselves were the heavy infantry)

However, the movie is total BS!!! So, as you said, 300 is not a myth...

  • @IndusrialProgrammer yes i know, ive done some reading since that comment. but still the 300 spartans stood there ground when the others retreated.

  • @lagreify Leonidas, once seeing defeat was imminent, ordered a gradual withdraw from the pass. His 300 Spartans along with a few other Greeks were the only ones who remained by time the Persians were able to discover a way to attack them from the rear. Leonidas would have been the last to retreat if he was going to retreat which I think he wouldn't. If he retreated back to Sparta, he would have been considered a coward, which was far worst than death to a Spartan.

  • @LaxdoubleK u r an idiot thinking its mythology u and the countries with no heritage baptised it as mythology just to cover up what you already know and keep important archaelogical discoveries in British museum making money out of other peoples culture...and by the way a big thanks to Greece that throughout the ages with its sacrifices both with the Persians and in WWs made a favour to the world and STOPPED the ENEMY...thanks to them your official language would be either german or persian

  • @jigsaw19981997 u r an idiot thinking its mythology u and the countries with no heritage baptised it as mythology just to cover up what you already know and keep important archaelogical discoveries in British museum making money out of other peoples culture...and by the way a big thanks to Greece that throughout the ages with its sacrifices both with the Persians and in WWs made a favour to the world and STOPPED the ENEMY...thanks to them your official language would be either german or persian

  • Why are the spartans being so ignorant about who their killing?! I mean if you invite the immortal for tea he might be a pretty nice guy

  • Ironically, the gigantic-fucking-Persian-manbeast is the only immortal with shoes.
