at the gym i go to crossfit, were taught to kip like that and ik it makes it easier but thats what were supposed to do to make it a more efficient workout
thats the way crossfit does it's pull ups. I personally agree with you, but their take on it is that you use your core as well as back and arms. plus I cannot argue with their results in building strength
Both guys are strong, but I would not want a left hook off the guy on the right!!! Good show of strength here.

even the pull ups are very good..this is not body building ,it is performance and it is very demanding.

who ever is doing chin ups do not kick all over the place makes it 10 times easier if you do that. ruins the exercise.

It's called Crossfit!! You should look into it before you start correcting people. He is actually doing a good kipping pullup!!

true, but this is based on preparing for the military,and the military do the bodybuilding style pullup unfortunately :(
